Camping in Japan #MountFuji

[Music] Dude, Tokyo has been a blast and it has turned out to be everything that we expected and then some. However, with another week remaining, we decided that we wanted to see what a smaller city looked like. After doing some digging online, we found a small city called Fuji Kawaguchiko next to Mount Fuji. So, the following day, we took a 3-hour bus ride there. But yesterday, we made our way over to Lake Kawaguchi, and it is absolutely scenic. Right back there is actually Mount Fuji. And the fact that I’m here in between a valley between Mount Fuji and then this wonderful lake right back here is just breathtaking. We have been just sightseeing and exploring and enjoying this wonderful tide to nature. Fuji Kawaguchi Go has to be one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever set foot in. With Mount Fuji being your backdrop at every turn, this city made it feel like I had really stepped into a real studio Ghibli film. Now, even though this city is very walkable, hands down, the best decision that I made was renting bicycles. This really allowed us to get around the city and take in more of the sites the small city had to offer. Not to mention, given that the campsite we booked was about a 50-minute walk from the town center, it was a great way to commute between the city and the campsite. This is so surreal. I have never had the opportunity to go camping and get away from it all. And I feel like this has been satisfying that itch and craving I’ve been having for years on end. Mount Fuji. [Applause] Get by side. By the way, remember when I wasn’t able to try an onen? I really wanted to try out the onen, but they had a very certain policies of no tattoos. And if you guys don’t know, I have more than just a single tattoo. So, yeah, I don’t think it was uh it was just not a possibility. It was not possible this time around. So, it seems like I got the chance to try to nonsense after all. But here on the camping ground and not really by choice. Apparently, the showers don’t work and so uh the option of privacy is not an option on camping grounds. Who knew? Nonetheless, I got the chance to try out an onen and it was very peculiar as I have never been naked in a public area like that. That is the first. Even though I was a little bit nervous of having someone join me in the onen, I would still say I had a pretty good experience. We are losing daylight very, very quickly. So, I’m going to see if I could get a couple more shots. Just kick back and enjoy the night. But something else that’s worth noting is that the wildlife here is built a little different. And I’m still getting very much used to it. They look very different from back home. That’s for sure. Kind of freaky. As a matter of fact, now something I can get behind is all of the vending machines all across Japan. Like these are here in the camping ground, and it’s only two of them. But literally everywhere you go in Japan, you will find one in every single street corner. Bro, these nights get like super dark. It’s insane. Getting lost in there has to be terrifying. Look at how dark that is. What? hit.

I can’t even put into words so much this trip did for me mentally. In this video take you on my exploration of Fujikawaguchiko, a small town at the base of Mount Fuji.
