500系新幹線で行って帰る at 広島 「ホテルグランヴィア広島サウスゲート」(字幕解説)

Hello everyone. I’m an old guy who’s happy to be on the Shinkansen again after such a long time. I’ve arrived at Shin-Osaka Station. I’m heading to Hiroshima on the Sanyo Shinkansen now. This video has a bit more iron in it, If you don’t need it, feel free to fast forward. Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the ticket gate with my mobile ICOCA. Don’t worry, I got my ticket. I’m boarding from platform 20. The preceding Sakura 551 will depart soon. The lady said angrily, “It’s safe!” I’m boarding here. Kodama 847 bound for Hakata. Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, the 500 series. Wow, so cool! These sharp edges are so cool! Let’s get on. My seat is in car 6. These cars were originally green cars that were refurbished. So if you’re riding the 500 series, I recommend car 6. The uploader hit his head lol The car is round, so be careful of the overhead if you’re sitting by the window. The train departed Shin-Osaka Station on schedule. An N700S out of service runs alongside. And so, ‘psh!’. Here comes the rolled omelet sandwich. It doesn’t taste like rolled omelet, but it’s tasty. The first stop is Shin-Kobe Station. At Nishi-Akashi Station, we pass the Hello Kitty Shinkansen. Bye, I’ll ride it tomorrow. Now, let’s take a look inside the car. There is a smoking area, but it is not available for use. Reserved seats in car 7. Even though it’s a reserved seat, for some reason it’s a 2+3 seat. A reserved seat in car 8. This one is also a 2+3 seat. We’re at the very end. This is the driver’s seat for children. Apparently the steering wheel and gauges are real. I felt embarrassed, so I decided not to sit down. And so (for some reason), I had a drink. It’s rare to drink alcohol with a sandwich. We’ll soon arrive at Okayama Station. We’ll be overtaken by the Nozomi train that was following us from behind. We’re at Fukuyama Station. I can see a beautiful castle on the other side of the platform. I passed the One Piece Shinkansen at Higashi-Hiroshima Station. It’s the Tony Tony Chopper train. I’ve arrived at Hiroshima Station. It took about two and a half hours. I see off the Kodama train I’ve been riding on. Have a nice trip to Hakata. I went down to the second floor concourse. There are many shops inside the ticket gates. I left through the Shinkansen exit. Mobile ICOCA was successful. I exited into the North-South Free Passage. Heading towards the inn on the south side. In front of you is the ekie souvenir shop. This is Minamoa. [Minamo (=water surface)] [Mina (=everyone)] [Moa (=more)] The new Hiroshima Station of the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) is under construction. It will be replaced by this station from August 3rd. This is where we’ll be staying tonight. We head to the front desk to leave our luggage. Our lodging for the night is Hotel Granvia Hiroshima South Gate. This is a new inn that opened in March. The front desk is on the 7th floor. A mysterious object. The reception is on the right over there. This photo was taken the next morning. This is the restaurant “UmiShima Dining” (breakfast venue). You can leave your luggage here. (There are also vending machines.) Let’s explore Minamore. This is where you climb the large staircase. In front of you, you can see the street in front of the station. On the other side is a station view of Hiroshima Station. This is Soramore Square on the rooftop. There’s a Gyarados. There’s also a Magikarp… I found out why later. I went down to the floor below. The sixth floor was a restaurant area. Western food restaurant “Taimeken” This is “Jojoen.” There’s also the eel restaurant “Yondaime Kikugawa”. From the fifth floor down are the life and fashion floors. Just skip ahead and head down. It’s hard to take photos in places like this. I used a lot of filters in the editing. I made it to the north-south free passage. Oh, the train is stopped. Looks like it’s undergoing a test run. Thank you for your hard work, have a nice trip. I’ve checked in, so I’m heading to my room. Today’s room is on the 21st floor, the concept floor. Let’s go in. This room faces south. Let’s start the room tour. South Gate Twin (30 m2) room. Water server is available. The TV is a 4K smart TV made by SHARP. The closet is an open type. The air purifier is also made by SHARP. The room is designed to resemble the Seto Inland Sea. Various controllers at the bedside. The loungewear was a one-piece dress. Now, let’s look outside the window. A city view of Hiroshima. It’s a bit cloudy, but you can see the Seto Inland Sea. Below you can see the Hiroshima Electric Railway tracks under construction. Let’s take a look inside the TV rack. There’s a security box in the drawer. The fridge wasn’t very big. The slippers are disposable. You can see the hotel guide on the TV. Of course, you can also watch online streaming videos. Let’s take a look at the wet area. First, let’s start with the sink. I think the hand soap is original to the hotel. It’s manufactured by Shinto World in Kumamoto. Amenities are provided. There’s Setouchi Hiroshima Lemon bath salts. This is POLA skin care. A SALONIA hair dryer. This is a Toto toilet. A bathroom with a washing area. A large bathtub. There is no rain shower. Shampoo and other amenities are the same as the hand soap. This concludes the room tour. We arrived at the restaurant on the 7th floor. We could enjoy free-flowing drinks. But it doesn’t seem to be a lounge. First, the snacks. These are dried fruits. Nuts and chocolate. Kappa Ebisen and Pocky. Craft soda bar, no alcohol. Gelato and fruit. The beer is craft beer. Because it’s Hiroshima, the cold sake is Kamozuru. From here, we have sparkling wine and Is this champagne? This is red wine. “Ichiteki Nyukon” is a pure rice ginjo sake from Kamozuru. There was a machine that automatically makes pancakes. First, we had some craft beer. It was a craft beer made with hassaku and sansho pepper. “Ichiteki Nyukon” is a refreshingly dry beer. I wasn’t satisfied, so I went looking for a shop…oh, a train. I arrived at the north exit of the station. There was a Pokemon Center. I now understand why Gyarados was there. I went to the first floor. I went to ekie Dining. There are lots of restaurants. What is soupless Chinese food? Hiroshima is famous for oysters, okonomiyaki, and mochiman I heard from a female teacher who knows Hiroshima well that they also have tsukemen and aburasoba. There are also famous okonomiyaki restaurants. So I went to this restaurant. Taking a seat ~ Search for Hiroshima specialties on the menu. A selection of Hiroshima soul foods. Okonomiyaki is a classic. But I’m used to eating okonomiyaki in Osaka… There was also tsukemen, which I’d heard about from my master. It’s enjoyed with toppings. There’s also tantanmen without soup. Actually, I’ve known Chichiyasu for a long time. As expected, Hiroshima lemon is the best. First, I’ll have some draft beer. After all, Hiroshima is all about oysters. Now, oysters… I’ll have some lemon on top. They’re not draft, but they’re still plump. Oh, it’s delicious. Next up is “Senjimiku (Senjigara)” Now, Senjigara. Oh, it’s a little spicy, crunchy and delicious. I’m already drinking sake. This tingling salty seasoning is great. So I’ll have a highball. When I got back to my room, it was raining. I took a bath and refreshed myself. I started drinking alone in my room. The rain had put a damper on business at the beer garden. But then I fell asleep…zzz Suddenly, I got an SMS from my master! I was surprised, but I’m glad he woke me up. Thanks to him, I was able to see the night view. Thank you, master. Since I’m awake now, I’ll continue drinking alone. But I’m starting to get sleepy again, I’m going to bed soon, with the curtains open…zzz Good morning, I’m taking a morning bath and cleaning myself. I’m going to disinfect the inside of my body with alcohol too. There was a newspaper hanging on the door. I went for a walk before breakfast. Currently (June 26th) I’ve arrived at Hiroshima Station on the Hiroden line. The first train is waiting. I’ll get on this one. Progress! Before you know it, you’ve reached the first station, “Enkobashi-cho.” Crossing the Kojin Bridge over the Enko River. Arrived at the second station. Get off here. It’s scary because cars are racing right next to me. Have a nice trip to the port. I decided to walk home from this station. It seems this station will remain, but the first station will be closed. I walked along Hijiyama-dori Street along the Enko River, and arrived at the station front street. This is the new line. The new station I saw yesterday is beyond the elevated track. The building above is where we’re staying. We’ve returned to our room. It’s almost time for breakfast. First, the drinks section. Next is the salad section. As expected, Hiroshima lemons are the most popular. This is the Western food section. There was also roast beef. There was sukiyaki made with Japanese black beef. Hiroshima salmon with Hiroshima lemon sabayon sauce. They also make ramen noodles for you. There was also a variety of cheeses. The same automatic pancake maker that I saw yesterday. The rice was apparently grown at an altitude of 480 meters. This is the Japanese food section. There’s a lot of boiled whitebait. From here on, we have bread. Fruit and pudding. You can also have sake. For conger eel rice, Simmered clams, and marinaded squid!!! For now, this is the first round. First, sip the alcohol. You can’t prepare something like this. I want to drink it from a cup… This is also delicious. Now onto the second round. Conger eel rice, roast beef, salad. The final round was almost a knockout loss… I returned the dishes and left… It’s 8am now. It’s a little early, but I’m leaving the inn. The bullet train platform at Hiroshima Station. I’m heading home on the Hello Kitty bullet train that just arrived. I’m in car 6, the same as when I came. I sit down, and this time I don’t hit my head. The train leaves Hiroshima Station on time. It’s time to say goodbye to Hiroshima. As soon as I leave the station, I can see Mazda Stadium. But train buffs will probably be interested in the train depot up ahead. We pass the Railstar at Higashi-Hiroshima Station. Now let’s take a look inside the train. We head for car 1, the very back. Cars 5 and 4 are 2+2 reserved seats. From car 3 onwards, the seats are unreserved. The seats are 2+3. This is the “KAWAII! ROOM” in Car 2. The interior design will change. There’s a Hello Kitty design on the window shades, too. If a strange old man were taking pictures with a camera, I was afraid I would be reported, so I just looked down and passed by. The very back of the carriage is a photo spot. Finally, we’re in the last carriage, Car 1. This is “HALLO! PLAZA.” There are no seats in this carriage. It’s also a special exhibition space, and a shop selling merchandise. The driver’s seat is behind that door. An attendant is always there. I return to my seat in car 6. We’ll soon be at Okayama Station. The train was stopped at Okayama Station for nearly 15 minutes. So I bought some beer at the kiosk on the platform. Delicious! At the next station, Aioi, I passed a 500 series train. When the train approaches the next station, a melody plays. This is what makes it so lively. This is Nishi-Akashi Station. This is the Kodama 847 One Piece Shinkansen. It seems to be operating normally today. I saw this yesterday at Higashi-Hiroshima Station. This is the Tony Tony Chopper train. We’ve come back to Osaka after passing through the tunnel at Mt. Rokko. We cross the Kanzaki River. Crossing the Hanshin Expressway Route 11 Ikeda Line. I saw a freight train heading west on the Kitakata Freight Line. I can see the high-rise buildings of Umeda. Crossing the Hankyu Kobe Line. I’ve slowed down considerably. This is the Miyahara Branch of the Aboshi General Rolling Stock Center. That’s the Twilight Express Mizukaze. It’s arrived at its final destination, Shin-Osaka Station. This concludes this video. See you again soon. Thank you for watching.
