Even in high-end restaurants in the city, it’s certainly delicious , but this Nagasaki remote island has a better taste than that ! Everywhere was delicious. Fukue Island was delicious, Iki Island was delicious, Tsushima was delicious, and Kamigotō… I haven’t been there yet… Everyone in Kamigotō had already eaten at around 11 o’clock, and I said that there wouldn’t be many people coming after 12 o’clock, but it’s already 12:26 and it’s almost full , so I’ll leave early too. I ‘ve arrived at Narao Port Terminal! This time I’m going back by ferry instead of jetfoil. The reason is that I want to try a different vehicle, and there are two jetfoils in the morning and the rest are in the evening. I wanted to get back to Nagasaki by the evening to edit videos, so the ferry leaves at exactly 1:30 p.m., which is just the right time, so the jetfoil takes about an hour and the ferry takes just a little over two hours, so I think it would be just right if I could go by ferry while working. Postscript to the trip to Kamigotō. A 2-night, 3-day trip to Nagasaki’s remote island, Kamigotō , is now over. How did it look to you all? We were really blessed with great weather this time, and it’s still pretty sunny, but I think the weather started to get bad around this morning . So I think it was a wonderful trip! We first arrived at Arikawa Port, started from the surrounding area and ended at Narao Port. We went to all parts of Kamigotō that were originally separate areas, so although it wasn’t 100% perfect, I think we managed to see almost all the highlights. What really surprised me this time was the incredible charm of Nagasaki’s remote islands! There are still many people who haven’t been to Nagasaki’s remote islands, but I’ve already been to Fukue Island, Kamigotō, Iki Island , and Tsushima , and they’re all on a different level! In terms of overall strength, the sea is beautiful, the food is incredibly delicious, there are amazing views, the people are exceptionally kind, and it’s a hidden gem! And yet, its greatness is not well known at all, so I was looking forward to visiting Kamigotō this time, but it was on a different level! In particular, was it the Christian cave that we went to on the cruise? That was also really amazing! I thought it was just… well… there was a cross? Just from the pictures I saw on the website and posters, but it was really amazing! I was able to experience the mysteries of nature and see a spectacular view that is of a level far beyond that of a remote island ! I definitely want everyone to experience this! It’s a must! I would like to stay at Maekawa Ryokan next time, and I would love to take the Setoshio boat that they do ! The service was really good and I can recommend it! And Nagata Ryokan, where I stayed this time , and MARGHERITA, where I stayed this time, were really wonderful! The food was also really delicious! I’m glad I chose to eat at a ryokan and this hotel . I’ve just stayed at a super high-class inn, so the food here is just as good as that, and I can say with confidence that it’s in the top three meals I’ve eaten this year ! I’ve already said it on X and Instagram, but the food was amazing at that level! And yet it’s gradually becoming deserted. There was information that the population, which was over 20,000 when I went there, suddenly dropped to about 7,000, but that’s unclear, but it seems that the population is decreasing quite rapidly, and I ‘ve heard that schools have been merged, and that the stores that used to be there are no longer there, and that the hospital that used to be there has closed down. I really want to spread the word about this charm as much as possible while I still can, and before we know it, it will be a town that is thriving on tourism. The same goes for the cruise where I was the only one there, even though you can see such amazing views and such a beautiful sea. There were no other customers on the cruise, so I called and they made a last-minute arrangement, and it was like we had it all to ourselves. It’s impossible! If it was a popular tourist spot, you’d have to get on the boat packed with people every time, but it’s a wonderful activity with that much potential , so I definitely want everyone to experience it! I don’t know much about the history of various remote islands and hidden Christians, but there were people who originally lived there, and when you look at the churches, you can see that the hidden Christians came there and developed their culture, and there are other interesting places like that, so I hope everyone will come! It was the best trip! I was planning to go to all the other islands this time, but there are other islands in the Goto Islands, so I would like to visit them in the future! I’m really looking forward to it! You should definitely check out Nagasaki’s remote islands! If you’re going to a mediocre high-end restaurant in the city, you can eat delicious food if you take the money and come to Nagasaki’s remote islands. I’m sure you’ll be able to eat delicious food! Please go! There’s a shop like this, they sell Gotojin, which I drank on Fukue Island! If you carry a backpack, you might be scared of being pickpocketed, so you can wear a backpack. It’s an absolute must for people who travel! Traveling is an investment in yourself!

上五島の歴史は深く、遣唐使（けんとうし）の時代から東アジアの交流の中継地とされてきました。特に江戸時代には、キリスト教が禁じられた中で信仰を守り抜いた潜伏キリシタンたちの足跡が色濃く残され、現在も「頭ヶ島（かしらがしま）天主堂」などの教会群が点在。2018年には「長崎と天草地方の潜伏キリシタン関連遺産」として世界文化遺産に登録され、静かなる祈りの島として世界から注目を集めています。

グルメでは、新鮮な海の幸が魅力。アジやサバ、イカなどを使った「五島の刺身」や「海鮮丼」はもちろん、島特産の「五島うどん」も外せません。上五島の焼酎やかんころ餅といった郷土の味も旅の楽しみのひとつ。

アクセスは、長崎港や佐世保港からのフェリー・高速船で約1時間半〜3時間。
