How to Travel Japan: Bullet Train & Ticket Guide | Osaka to Tokyo

hey everyone in today’s video we are at the shin Osaka station in Osaka Japan and today we’re going to take the bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo we purchased our tickets in advance and ticket prices are going to depend on your departure time and ticket types for this trip we selected a reserved seat which provides extra baggage space start by choosing the city you’re departing from and the station you’re heading to for us it’s Tokyo next select your travel date and time you’ll also need to specify the number of Travelers when choosing your seats you’ll see different seating options along with their luggage allowances pick the option that best fits your needs on the left you’ll find the basic Fair combined with the bullet train ticket on the right there’s the bullet train ticket only you can also decide between a oneway or roundtrip ticket once you reviewed and confirmed all the details proceed to purchase your ticket the time of the filming of this video the total price for one adult One Way came to 19590 Yen which is approximately $30.79 USD now that we have our ticket there’s only one thing left to do buy some snacks for the 3-hour train ride I will show you what I got to eat later in the video here’s a look at the platform this sign shows you the car and seat position before you board our Train’s arriving at the station on time we are seated and ready this is my first time riding on a bullet tra super excited and we’re off the train does offer luggage storage above your seat here’s a look at the reserve seat luggage space that came with our seats We are booking along through Japan the fastest speed I was able to capture during the ride was 172 mph let’s take a closer look at the seats I’m not that tall but plenty of leg room here for me you also have a table available to use Cars one 2 and three offer passengers without seat reservations there’s power outlets also available and a small hook to hang items they also do offer free Wi-Fi all right I’m getting hungry so let’s dig into some snacks during my trip I became obsessed with Japanese egg sandwiches this is chicken and egg with teriyaki sauce along with some crispy sticks it was really tasty restrooms can be found between the cars sorry I’m trying not to fall and losing my balance here while I’m walking along with the restrooms and baby changing space there is also a space here for luggage holding and check out the view as we speed through Japan okay I’m going to sit down relax a bit and enjoy the rest of the ride we are arriving at Tokyo Station this trip took about 3 hours in comparison driving the same distance would have taken a little over 6 hours we have arrived in Tokyo this will be my first time visiting here and that’s a wrap for this video If you enjoyed it please leave a like and consider subscribing if you’d like to see more videos like this thank you for watching and have a great day
