Doraemon Takes Over Roppongi Hills

The beloved cat-robot Doraemon is back at Roppongi Hills as part of the TV Asahi’s Roppongi Hills Summer Fes event in preparation for his birthday celebration. Doraemon began airing on TV Asahi in 1979 and is one of the longest-running anime. With hundreds of episodes in each iteration of the series in addition to movies and specials, Doraemon has become an icon of Japanese media and pop culture. The Doraemon Birthday Special will be broadcast in September.

You can find various activities and photo spots with Doraemon throughout the Roppongi Hills and at the adjacent TV Asahi building from July 19 to August 24.

Photo Spots

66 Plaza right in front of Mori Tower has an impressive squad of Doraemon statues with various expressions and poses for you to grab a selfie with. Find your favorite Doraemon and take a commemorative photo together!

Doraemon Hiroba at TV Asahi

TV Asahi’s Japan Social Hall on the first floor of the station’s headquarters will transform into Happy Lucky Doraemon Hiroba. The atrium will be decorated with even more Doraemon statues, and photo spots with Nobita and his friends. Explore Doraemon’s world of magical gadgets and have a look around a real TV studio.

Exclusive Food and Drinks

The festival will also have a special pop-up cafe dedicated just for Doraemon. The Ciao Doraemon Special Kitchen at the Summer Fes Garden Cafe inside the TV Asahi Social Hall will be serving a limited edition menu in collaboration with Bosco Olive Oil. The menu features various meals, and even desserts, that all feature Bosco extra virgin olive oil and Bosco seasoning oil for a unique and fun combination of flavors. The cafe will be open throughout the festival duration until August 24, from 10:00 to 19:00 (last order 18:00).

Ankipan Munching Plate – ¥1210 

Toast inspired by Doraemon’s “Ankipan” gadget, served with Bosco extra virgin olive oil and a side salad

Time Furoshiki Margherita Pizza – ¥1320

Watch Doraemon’s Birthday Special

Guests can look for a secret password located inside TV Asahi’s Social Hall atrium to watch last year’s Doraemon birthday special while they wait for the premiere of the 2025 celebration coming in September. Enter the password onto the website to watch. The episode will be available to watch for free from July 19 to August 24 at 23:59. September 3 is Doraemon’s official birthday. Fans can also enter to win an original Doraemon TV sticker. A total of 903 random winners will be selected. Stickers will be mailed out to the winners in September.
