Hotel Gold River, PortAventura World 2025
Hi! Welcome back to our channel! Today we’re visiting one PortAventura’s hotels Specifically their Hotel Gold River So let’s begin! Let’s start by saying that this is one out of the 6 hotel resorts located in PortAventura Which is located in between Vila-Seca and Salou in the Province of Tarragona, Spain This hotel has one of the
lowest price points out of all 6 And is one out of two that are
located right in the park itself This hotel has a large parking space
that’s completely free for hotel guests And has security 24/7 at its entrance It’s decor is inspired by
the United States Wild West If you’re not arriving by car It’s good to note that they also
have a metro station very close There are also Bus services A train stations that connects with their buses And a nearby airport in Reus that connects as well with the resorts This beautiful hotel is family friendly And it’s also home to 549 rooms The rooms vary in sizes and equipment depending on your personal needs and family size The hotel is closed off to the outside
with access limited to its guests It’s made to look like a Wild West town Called Sullivan City Inside your hotel grounds You’ll also find the only 5-star hotel
called Mansion de Lucy or Lucy’s Mansion If you’re interested in that hotel We also have a video on it so I’ll

on it so subscribe so you don’t miss it! Now let’s talk about the rooms We stayed in a simple standard room for two Without any perks and we have to say The rooms are simple but very nice There’s quite a bit of rooms in this resort so you might be closer or further
away from the private park entrance But it’s still fairly closer than any other hotel or the parks main entrance As you can see our room is a
little snug but perfect for two It also has an adjacent room that can be
turned into a larger space for families You have a desktop, a chair, a tv Plenty of lighting A small wardrobe Oh! And the trunk at the bottom
of the bed doesn’t open but can be used to place you luggage You also have a Full sized bed Which was surprisingly very comfortable although I wish they had fluffier pillows But that’s just a personal preference You also have a complete bathroom I do have to mention Specifically for shorter people or people with any kind of disabilities or maybe more restricted movement The bathtubs in general that are
available in most hotels in Spain And in this hotel in particular Are quite tall As an American I’m used to lower
bathtubs with flatter lower surfaces And sometimes the bathtubs in
general feel a little dangerous I was able to shower safely but with
loads of precautions so keep that in mind I’m also only 5’2″ so anything slightly tall is always something
I’m more aware of in terms of safety The good thing is that you can ask for an accessible room
for anyone that might be in a wheelchair or for one with just a shower if needed Although that’s subject to availability Now When it comes to the perks
that are offered in this hotel You do have quite a few First, you have 3 pools One of them is specifically for smaller children The pools are also quite large and you have loads of pool chairs available I have to mention that you cannot get
in the pool with a hat or sunglasses Sunglasses may go in If they have a sunglass strap Also called eyewear retainer or neck cord There are also lifeguards all around
to guarantee everyone’s safety And a little secret You also have access to two more pools located in the hotel at the
very end called Colorado Creek It’s a bit of a walk but those
pools are shallower and warmer and a bit smaller But worth the try Unfortunately you do not get access
to the pool at Hotel Mansion de Lucy But with 5 pools basically available I bet you won’t be short on a refreshing
break from the park with the ones available There are also a bit of places
to grab a bite or a snack There’s one snack bar available
at Hotel Colorado Creek and another at the lower level of that hotel In the pools at the Gold River Hotel You have a snack bar/restaurant
right at the top of the pools That offer many things From hot dogs to chips and drinks And the best part is that
they have larger seating areas I highly recommend that if you’re
intending on eating there for lunch You go before 2pm Which is the standard eating
time for lunch in Spain And places get crazy crowded You also have a bar in the
hotel lobby in the main building And many other restaurants in the town
square created next to the main building Although those aren’t available for lunch They do open for dinner Speaking of dinner… We did get half board Which is either Breakfast and
Lunch or Breakfast and Dinner The hotel has 5 eating options 4 of which have dining options And one is simply a snack
bar as I mentioned before When it comes to their breakfast buffet You get a lot of options From fresh produce to yogurts and cereals To a variety of egg options To many deli meats, cheeses Loads of breads, sauces, pastries You also have coffee, water,
smoothies and juice options available If you have any dietary restrictions Feel free to tell the staff
once you arrive at the buffet And they’ll happily make you breakfast
specifically adapt to your personal needs Now Speaking of buffets You have loads of options in
their dinner department as well From salads to pintxos or tapas To soups, rice, fish and even burgers You also get steaks, collard greens and
a variety of veggies from cooked to raw There’s also freshly baked breads,
freshly cut jamón, a variety of cheeses And desserts! You get a little bit of everything and anything Every night is different But you can for sure know that there will
be an option for everyone in the family! There’s many healthy options
as well as more indulgent ones To please any palate There were some changes this year but be sure to always reserve your breakfast
the minute you check-in to the hotel Larger hotels like this one most of the time require you
to reserve a specific hour To eat breakfast and sometimes even dinner The check-in clerk should assist you with that if you have any doubts or questions It’s very easy You simply need to scan a QR located
at the bottom of your check in booklet And follow the process through Keep in mind that Earlier time slots fill up quicker Also make sure to be at the
breakfast or dinner buffet at the time of your reservation or 5 minutes earlier As you usually only get an hour and about 15 minutes before that
hour you’ll start to be rushed out It’s not the most ideal thing But it ensures that everyone at the
hotel gets a calmer space for eating Specially during the busier
months like July or August We saw many guests miss their
reservation due to arriving late Which is never a nice experience Now let’s talk about the distance
from the hotel to the park As I mentioned before It really depends on the room you get But for the most part This hotel and the PortAventura Hotel Are the closest to a park entrance In one of our stays we had
about a minute’s worth of walk This is the path to the
entrance from Sullivan City Every building you see are hotel rooms You’re also right in the middle of the park and you enter through it’s most popular zone Which is the Far West So that is quite a plus in my book I also have to note that depending on the season you may also get early access to the park Although the only ride that may
be operating is they’re newest and most popular ride as of 2025 Which is Uncharted It’s very important to note that although you get early
access to the park itself From our personal experience The early access mostly helps with
being able to get in line earlier As rides usually don’t start operating until an hour or so after the
park has officially opened It’s not ideal but if you
don’t have express passes This may be a time saver in the long run The hotel stay includes
illimited access to the main park which is PortAventura during your stay And a 1-day entry to their smaller
themed park called Ferrariland You also get exclusive discounts for
their waterpark and express passes Although it’s subject to availability And it’s important that you get them at the hotel as the prices inside the park are higher But with all of that said I hope you give this video a
