Limited Run Games has announced that to celebrate the first anniversary of Tomba! Special Edition, the PlayStation 4 digital version, is now available for $19.99.
Additionally, the game’s Japanese localization is now live as a patch for all existing owners of the game at no extra cost. The game has been available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Tomba! Special Edition follows the protagonist as he tries to recover his grandfather’s bracelet from antagonistic pigs. This was a truly beloved classic on the original PlayStation, so seeing it revived honestly feels unreal.
Fans can anticipate several new features, such as the ability to save anywhere, eliminating the need for checkpoints. Additionally, rewinding and a toggle for analog control will be available.
A newly remastered soundtrack is also present, alongside a museum comprised of classic print advertisements, original packaging, manuals, developer documents, and high-resolution artwork.
