Okinawa’s Diving Guide | Check out Okinawa’s Best Diving Locations

[Music] hi everyone today we’re going to be taking you on a tour around the island of oka’s best diving sites be sure to stick around till the end of the video so we could show you how to get to a really cool shark Den where you could watch some of okinawa’s white tipped reef sharks swim around absolutely but before we begin we just want to remind you to always remember your training um so we’re going to share with you some of the things that we do to stay safe in the open water every time we dive number one we always dive within our limits and we never attempt to dive beyond our training or skill level which means we take into consideration the environment our health and fitness level and the type of equipment we’re using number two we never dive alone always dive with each other or friends it’s an important safety consideration for us and honestly just way more fun number three we always inspect our equipment before we dive to make sure that everything’s working properly number four we plan every dive it’s important to pick the locations how long we’ll be in the water and what we plan to accomplish before we dive number five we take our time descending and ascending and take time to equalize on the way up or down breathing normally throughout and we always do our safety stop when it’s required number six we check our air pressure and depth gauges frequently throughout the dive to make sure we don’t run out of air and stay within our diving limits number seven we exercise and stay fit and healthy diving is physical and requires a good level of Fitness so we never dive if we’re sick or congested and we always avoid things like drinking before diving number eight finally and honestly most importantly we respect marine life we do not provoke or disturb the sea life and we always steer clear of dangerous animals like sea snakes in okanawa okay so let’s go over those four dive locations we picked these spots and we ranked them based on three different categories one being accessibility how easy it is to get in and out of that dive location two diversity of marine life how much sea life is down there and that water and then three popularity which is very important especially during the summer season when the island of Okinawa gets extremely congested absolutely one thing that we did not take into consideration when we were ranking them was the water conditions and that’s simply because the water conditions are constantly changing so anytime you go out to dive make sure you check conditions like current surge Tides visibility and we always recommend to go to the Patty website where you can view how difficult it a dive site is to make sure that it matches your experience [Music] he [Music] he [Music] he [Music] [Music] m [Music] he [Music] okay so what you guys have been waiting for the shark Den so when you go on to the beach we recommend going all the way to the left side and when you hit the large rock structure start going out into the water and you’re going to go out to the water for a few minutes uh depending on the tides and then you’re going to follow the trenches uh straight out into the ocean and as you follow along those trenches you’re going to look for two markers and we’re going to show you each of [Music] those this is marker number one to let you know that you are on the right track [Music] [Music] and this is marker number two which in my opinion is much more obvious when you’ve hit this you know you’re close if you continue to follow the trench just a little bit further and you’re going to head down to about 55 60 ft and you will see the shark Den on your right [Music] right if you can’t get enough for an added bonus once you reach the end of the trenches you can Circle back on the right side and catch another look at the sharks from the other angle [Music] [Music] thanks for watching uh make sure you check out the description section for links and locations for the four dive sites we talked about today we hope you enjoyed our video if you did like us comment and please subscribe and follow us for more content [Music]
