This is Vlog of a Day in the Life of a Japanese family of three; Dad: Nori, Mom: Luna, Baby: Tokimaru. Today, we will travel to Akita prefecture. It is a little far from Sendai to Akita. It takes 3 hours and half by a car. Usually I eat with Luna, but today we don’t have time in the morning… Today’s breakfast is Nikujaga (leftover) and Natto. Let’s go! Traveling with children is a lot of baggage. It’s fine weather. Tokimaru is calm. Take a break at the rest area. Change his diaper and stretch him. We’re almost to Akita. Finally we arrived in Akita. First, we had lunch with friends! This restaurant is famous for its Akita specialty, “Inaniwa Udon”. She can’t stop talking with friends we haven’t seen in a while. This is Inaniwa Udon set for lunch only. How delicious it looks! It’s so much fun to eat with friends! He is very popular with his friends. They loved Tokimaru a lot. Thanks, friends. We gave gifts to them. One is a wedding gift Luna bought a few days ago. “MUGEN-DO” (the name of this restaurant) was so good! This is “Namahage”, which is World Cultural Heritage (UNESCO). It was on display at the hotel, and it’s priceless to see Namahage in Santa costume. These are some of the traditional Akita crafts displayed at the front desk of the hotel. The room has a nice ambiance. We were provided with a crib. This is a room key case. On the cover is an illustration of a namahage and a traditional Akita festival. Therefore, Luna and I are slightly sleepy. It’s time for breakfast. A variety of Akita specialties are available. They all look really tasty. We can also eat egg rice. I love it. Chinese food is also available. And, of course, there’s food like sausages, bacons and breads. Wide variety of drinks and rice. I want to try all the food, but I do not have enough room! Very tasty!! This is kiritanpo. It is one of the local dish of Akita. Very good. It seems to be able to make us onigiri on the spot! The ingredients were ume plum and leek miso. So good! This is a rice with raw egg. I love it. Super delicious! The last one was dessert. This breakfast was one of the best. This is coffee for take-out. It is perfect for waking up from sleep. We’re at the Ghibli exhibit we’ve always wanted to see. This is the area of Spirited Away. Beautiful Photo spot. Tokimaru seems eager to move. The one I had had smooth red bean paste in it. Both of them are very good. As Luna’s request, I’m acting out a scene from Spirited Away. This one is also good! Return home. Dinner was a bowl of rice topped with pork and kimuchi. It was a very enjoyable trip to Akita. Where shall we go next time?
