Celebrating Christmas 2024 with an exhilarating hike up Mt Katsuu (also known as Mt. Katsuudake) Loop! The weather was perfect, showcasing the beauty of winter in subtropical Okinawa.
We tackled the reverse loop, starting from the 2nd car park at the foot of Mt Katsuu and finishing with a breathtaking view from the summit. The challenging terrain kept me on all fours as I climbed and scrambled over rocks and boulders.
The views overlooking the coast of Nago were stunning. This 5.3km hike took us 4 hours and 43 minutes to complete.
