A 100-year-old public bathhouse that was in operation until about 15 years ago was converted into a café. The owner, Mr. Sumigama, says, “I hope the bathhouse, once a place for socializing, will once again become a place where local people can gather. Much of the building remains as it was in those days, including the karahafu gables in the entrance, the coffered ceiling in the dressing room, the mosaic tile mural, and the retro tiles all over the bathroom. The good condition of the building shows that it has been carefully passed down from generation to generation.
