A new survey by UK-based travel company Travelbag reveals that Canada is the second most desired bucket list destination for British travellers in 2025.
According to the poll of 1,000 UK adults, 31% of respondents said Canada is on their ultimate travel wish list—just behind Japan, which topped the rankings with 32%.
“Canada comes in a close second at 31%, with its breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures,” the survey noted.
Australia ranked third (30%), followed by the Maldives and the USA (both at 28%). Rounding out the top ten were Seychelles (23%), Bali and Mauritius (21% each), and Mexico and Thailand (19%).
The survey also explored what travellers want to do on their dream holidays.
Shopping and visiting local markets emerged as the most popular activity (26.7%), especially among Gen X. Visiting ancient ruins and heritage sites (21.4%) ranked highest with Baby Boomers, while road-tripping (14.7%) appealed strongly to Millennials.
