Hacksaw Ridge near Naha, Okinawa #Meta #Quest #VR
So I am at the Hako ridge. This is Hakro Haxo Ridge near Naha Okinawa. And it’s the other name is Meda Escarpment Tunnel. And this is the map here. And if I go here, let’s see if I go here. If I move forward some more, yeah, you’ll see the schedule, right? Anyway, let’s stop. And this is my position in between Urosoe Museum and Urosoe Mosium. And if you look at the terrain here, this is like it’s near a cliff. This is where the US Marines uh climbed up the cliffs and which now which is called Hacko Ridge because so many Marines have died there.
Hacksaw Ridge tells the true story of Desmond Doss, a US Army medic who served in World War II without ever carrying a weapon due to his religious beliefs as a Seventh-day Adventist. Despite facing ostracization and harassment for refusing to bear arms, Doss became a hero by saving an estimated 75 men during the Battle of Okinawa, single-handedly evacuating the wounded from behind enemy lines. He was the first conscientious objector to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
This was recorded using the Meta Quest VR and wander app.
