Unwind in Style: Renaissance Pattaya Resort 🇹🇭 Thailand

Hello, welcome back to Sean’s Eye View. This week we’re taking a break from Bangkok down on the coast at the Renaissance Pattaya Resort. Coming up, we’ll give you a tour of the resort, the grounds, the pools, the restaurants, the rooms, and the local neighbourhood. I hope you enjoy. So the resort lobby is a large open space with a nice bar, which we’ll come back to later in the evening. From the lobby, you head downstairs, and there’s a kids’ club, which has its own playground and a private area, which is great for families. And then there’s 609 kitchen and deli. We arrived at the hotel a bit too early for check in, but we were able to go and have a nice lunch and wait for our rooms in comfort. The deli is great for quick, simple breakfast or lunch. It’s nice to have the option without having to go through a buffet. So 609 Kitchen is the all day restaurant. They do a large breakfast buffet here, which, as a Platinum member for Marriott Bonvoy, we received complimentary, which was great. So there are two pool areas. This is the family pool, which has the children’s water playground adjacent. And this is where you can reserve a room with pool access. But this is the pool that we enjoyed the most, which is a reserved for adults only. And don’t worry, it’s not far from the bar and the staff do bring drinks over. Of course, the hotel has a spa and gym, but I’m sure you’re all well aware by now that Sean and I don’t use the hotel gyms. It’s there, though, should you require. At the far end of the resort down by the pool is Pebbles Bar and Grill, which has a fantastic view of the sea, overlooking the beach. We went down here and reserved our table for dinner that night. We’ll return here later in the video. Thanks to my membership in Bonvoy, we were upgraded from an entry-level room to this one with a nice resort view. The rooms are very modern, very clean, and we particularly like the bathroom design and layout. Let’s go for a walk around the hotel as the sun has set. R Bar just off the lobby is great for a pre-dinner drink. Returned to Pebbles Bar and Grill for a really nice dinner that evening. So the next morning I took a walk along Ban Ampur Beach. As you can see, the hotel is just above the beach, you have to go down these stairs and cross that pedestrian pathway to get to the beach. It’s not a private beach. It’s Thailand. All the beaches are public. It’s quite simple beach, though. There’s not a lot of facilities but it’s nice if you want to go for a walk or relax or a paddle in the sea. The hotel has an organic vegetable garden as well. If you keep on walking along the beach, you’ll come to this small fishing port, and then further along is a more sophisticated modern marina where those high rises are, and then run right in the distance, you can see Jomtien and Pattaya beyond. So this is a nice, quiet location, a real change in contrast from Pattaya Town or Jomtien, which are much busier, have more on the beach, more people, more tourist activities. This is a nice place to come for a couple of days to decompress and enjoy not being in the city. So, yes, we recommend the Renaissance Pattaya Resort if you’re looking for a location that’s outside of the cities and away from all the noise of Pattaya Town. It’s beautifully calm, quiet, and the pools are fantastic. I hope you enjoy this video. Here are some other hotel recommendations for Thailand. Please do like, comment, subscribe, and share. We always like to hear from you. Thank you very much. We’ll be back next week with another video. Bye-bye.
