[Music] Good morning, guys. Seems like it’s a little bit crowdy today, but hopefully it will be a sunny day soon though. We are heading to the breakfast. It’s in a different hotel. It’s just across the street. Yep, over there. [Music] Good morning everyone. It become a little bit cloudy, but uh it’s not cold. Still feels pretty good. So today we are in Mako Island. This is the last day. We are heading back to Tokyo by the flight today. This side of sky it’s cloudy but seems like this side of sky. It’s a sunny day. The breakfast restaurant is in this hotel. I was here yesterday. I’m wondering if they have a different kinds of menu items. We have a terrace seat outside and we could use it yesterday. However, since this morning there is super heavy rain, we can’t use the terrace seat today. Yeah, in Mako Island it always happens. So, let me find if something different compared to yesterday. Seems like those oniri area it’s same. Seems like white rice area is also same. Oh, this area has changed. Today we have a ninjiru which is really popular okina food. And I think this one we didn’t have one yesterday. Bitter green and island tofu with egg. Looks pretty good. Oh, so those areas is a new one. Go maclo with psycho and also pork winner. Huh. Morian style sampoo. That looks pretty good. And we have tandry chicken as well. And yeah, we have taco. And it seems like this is also the new area. There’s a fried eggs also the power rice for us. It’s a spinach and the nuts Catalan style. Huh. The curry also changes. It’s a green coconut curry. Smells pretty good. And it’s a daon radish. I guess that’s a oku maybe. Jim tofu and also toyangun style soup. Miaakoba over here. And they also have a new soup over here, too. It’s a Ruku cooking special beef soup. That looks pretty good, too. And I guess those fruit area hasn’t changed. And also those are the bread area. They have a many different kinds of jams. And also this is a popular Okinawa style donuts, shisa andagi. So those are the food that I picked up. Mostly it’s the Okinawa food and also something special soup today. Well, seems like compared to yesterday because there are so many travelers. It’s a Friday morning and also since the terasi we can’t use it inside it’s very crowded. Yep. Yesterday was much comfy. You know I tried to confide with that Okinawa style of pure juice but that one was also already sold out. Maybe they can refill it soon though. So anyways, today comp with that the mango juice kai. [Music] All right. So let’s eat. So let’s start with this okinoa style of beef. I guess it’s a tendon. Maybe it’s a little bit oily. However, nice juicy beef tender flavor soak into this soup. The soy sauce paste. It is not as oily as how it looks like. Yeah, it tastes pretty good. Especially the beef is very soft. It’s like melting in my mouth. Yeah, that’s pretty good. So, this is our popular food. Nin city. Basically, it has a sweet taste but a little bit bitterness of the carrot. Really good. [Music] Basically, this one there is not that much taste. Well, maybe it’s good for health. And [Music] you know, it’s already in the third day in Mako Island. Time fries. Luckily the first day and the second day it become a beautiful sunny day. However, speaking of the Mako Island weather during the all year season, usually there are so many rainy days and the crowdy days. So I think I was pretty lucky. But this cloudy day would be one the real Mak Island trip day which many people will experience. So hope today’s vlog will be a good help for your future Japan trip. Yeah. [Music] The sweetness of daon radish flavor. Nice combo with dashi and the soy sauce that tastes like a typical Japanese food. I love the flavor. And this is a pasta with bitter maron. Interesting. M interesting in a good way. It’s kind of hard to express how to try. Sorry. Kind of like sweet flavor of spaghetti comes first and after that the bitterness spreading in the mouths. So very interesting flavor. Very interesting. Oh, you know what? Yesterday I didn’t realize there is a pancake machine. Interesting. Let’s do it. So there is a plate over here. I can just place it and wave hands. Is it starting? Oh yeah, seems like it’s starting. Yep. They are making the pancake and probably Wait. Wait. Just wondering how long it will take. Yeah, seems like Yeah, not that bad though. We can eat the freshmade pancake. Here we go. Now it’s ready. That’s a cute pancake. There’s a brown sugar margarine and also purple sweet potato margarine too. All right, a small pancake. Oh yeah, that goya drink is refilled. Let’s compile with that. It’s a miaakojima bitter melon juice. And the second round, it’s fruits and pancakes. Yes, this time compai with the bitter bell juice. [Music] [Music] Interesting. Speaking of the taste, it’s really interesting. The firstly kind of sweetness comes back after you drink the bitterness spreading in the mouth and it totally feels like a super bitter. Interesting. And how about the pumpkin mushy? Let me try. [Music] Well, the luxury is not the restaurant level, of course, but thinking about it’s made by the food made pancake, I think. No bad. Yeah. [Music] Somehow they didn’t have the knife, so I use chopsticks instead of knife. [Music] and the cafe. [Music] That’s a perfect way to start the day. Seems like outside still it’s super windy. Uh but seems like the sky is getting better. Probably rain will stop. It’s super windy, too, though. All right, so let’s go back to the hotel. That’s my car over there. Check out time is 11:00 p.m. Still, we have an hour, so should be fine. Yeah, no one is swimming in the pool. [Music] All right. Well, it’s pretty messy. I got to clean it up. All right. Now it’s ready to go. Let’s keep walking. All right. It’s super windy, but it seems like it’s not raining. By the way, it was a Hotel Seab Breeze Coral. So, today’s our flight heading back to Tokyo is leaving here from 3:55, but I need to return the car at 2:30. So, we still have 3 hours and 30 minutes. Firstly, we are heading to the national park which we can see under the ocean. It’s like the aquarium, but it’s not the aquarium. We can just check up inside the ocean. So, so we are not sure which fish we can see. So, it’s more like a nature thing and it sounds very interesting. So, let’s visit there. It’s about 30 minutes driving from here. So, let’s go. [Music] this street too it becomes very easy driving. So we are heading back to north part of the Mako island. It takes about 15 minutes driving from the place where I was because it was the south part of Mako Island. Anyways, we have to go back to the Mako airport which located in almost center of Mako Island. So, it’s a perfect time to visit there. No, you do this. Oh my goodness. Is this the place? Yeah, that must be there. Okay, so that must be the place. All right, finally we arrived. So must be this is the place. Since I usually don’t drive in a car, especially in such a small street, that very tiny street, it was very scary to drive though. I was like, what if this street ends? I have to go back to the street by the backward. I was born in Osaka, which is a big city, and I only drive over there. So, it was very interesting experience. Maybe only in Mia. Interesting. Good experience though. So this must be the way to go. Here we go. Finally, we arrived. Mia Kojima Kaiu Coen. So that must be the entrance. Ah, I didn’t know we had the parking over here, too. This place, it’s much closer. And it seems like not that many people here today. There is a restaurant and a cafe, too. The entrance fee cost 1,000 Japanese yen. Let’s go inside. Huh, nice place. It’s my first time finding a clue machine in Mako Island. There are the fish tank at the entrance. So now we need to pay the entrance fee over there. All right, so that’s a ticket. Okay, so that’s the entrance. How excited. There is a nice cafe over there, too. Okay. Interesting. I guess this is for the wheelchair. We are going down to the ocean. Seems like kids are crying. Oh, so actually we are just looking down the real ocean fish. [Music] Interesting. Can we find some other fish over here? Let me see. Huh? Seems like no fish over here. And that’s the surface of the ocean. [Music] Very interesting place. Oh, seems like we can find shark and also sea turtle, too. Plus manta. But I guess we have to be pretty lucky though. Yeah, I can’t find something big fish over here. There is a fish head. So when you explore inside the ocean, you can be a fish as well. Let’s be the crab. Now the crab is exploring under the ocean. Interesting. The kids must loving it. The fish over here. And fish over there. Yep. Ocean experience. Interesting. It’s a fun place. If you visit Mako Island, you can visit here, too. All right. So, let’s go up. Yep. We were under the ocean. Oh, so now I realized the place was over there. We were looking under that ocean over there. How about in the seaside cafe? Still I’m full though. They have rocomokco hockey Hawaiian food and also burger plus makosa. Price is about 1,100 Japanese yen. Yeah. Thinking about the location, that’s a reasonable price, huh? How about upstairs? Oh my goodness, that’s stunning. Nothing but ocean. [Music] Loving it. Oh, they also have this souvenir shop over here. Oh, that’s a cute necklace. 1,800 Japanese yen and also strap 430 and key holders. Nice. Caesar. All right, so let’s go to the next spot. There’s also a park there. No one is playing there though. Let’s go to the next destination. So the next destination is Mako Island’s Donkeyote. It’s also located next to the airport. So it’s a easy way to go back. And also I asked the park staff, is there any way that I don’t have to use that small passage? And then he told me no because this place is the countryside. So you have to use that street. And I also asked is there any street like that in Mako Island a lot? And he told me well unfortunately if you go to the countryside of Mak Island you will see a lot kind of those street. So you got to be ready for that if you’re driving here. Anyways let’s keep driving. Hopefully no cars will be in front of me though because it’s not the one way street. So hopefully not. So, it’s about 30 minutes to drive. Let’s keep driving. [Music] [Music] Well, compared to the street that we used when we get there, I think the street that one was much better though, especially we can see front street so that if the car is coming, I can know immediately. tree. Yeah, it was not like this tree from the spirited away. Oh, I see. So, this is the building next to it. The donkeyote is the next building. By the way, there’s a gill. I didn’t know Mia Kojima had the gale. It’s a rental video shop. I believe still there are many elder people living in the island, too. So, that gale could be good for them. All right. So, anyways, let’s drive to Donote. So it must be next to this building. So that must be over there, I believe. Is it? Where is the entrance? Oh, maybe from that main street there. Or we can enter from here. Let me see. Oh, wait. Oh, yeah. Here. Oh, we got it. Sweet, sweet speed. All right, let’s go. We still have 90 minutes before returning the car. Mia Island. And I believe the price is cheaper compared to other place. They pack some sushi also seafood over here. Oh, Hawaiian [ __ ] Never seen. Let’s do it for the lunch time. So eventually I got the Hawaiian [ __ ] and also the Starbucks drink all together. 1,59 Japanese yen. Goodbye Dang. See you soon. There’s scissors at the entrance. Since we still have time. No. Wow. It was not raining at all. But suddenly it became a super heavy rain. You know, since we still have time, I came to the ocean side because it was not raining. However, suddenly it starts super heavy rain now and uh I don’t think we can eat in the park. So, probably we better go back to the red car place or maybe we can eat it here. Well, it’s okay. This could be a good Mia memory. So, why not? Let’s eat over here. by the way. Yeah, super heavy, right? So, here we go. It is the Hawaiian Poké Ball. You know, I could wait until the airport, but since it is a seafood bowl, I am afraid that it might be get bad. Anyways, let’s eat. Here after I arrived to the Mapoima Island, I haven’t eat the seafood yet, I think. Yeah. So, my first seafood is from the day. Well, it says they just cooked 10:00 a.m. in this morning. So, it must be still. It’s fresh. Yeah. By the way, rain becomes so heavy now. Tsunami doesn’t come, right? Yeah. Should be fine because there are the cars. So, let’s go back. So, I need to pump the gas over here. Very harder. So 10.12 liter it cost 1,892 Japanese yen. 187 Japanese yen per liter. Not bad. All right, finally we arrived. That was a pretty good car. Thank you. And they will take us to the airport. There was an announce of the delay of the flight about 10 minutes. So we are actually pretty early and already we have arrived to the airport. Yep. So let’s explore the airport. Speaking of the price, this time I used the Times rental car. So totally cost about 20,000 Japanese yen including the insurance. It’s a full cover insurance. So it’s about 10,000 Japanese yen per night. Because I used the full cover insurance, it becomes more expensive though. However, since I am a member of the Times car rental, I think there was a 3 to 4,000 Japanese yen discount. So yeah, thinking about the quality of the car, I think it was pretty good. If you are looking for it, probably there will be more cheaper rental car place, but you have to reserve the car in advance. And also, I’m not sure what kind of car you will get. So, but there are options. By the way, the times rent car. Yeah, that’s a big company. So, that’s why I use that car company. Oh, there is a nice garden in front of the airport. If it was not raining, we could eat over here, huh? But maybe next time. Seems like already there are so many people inside the airport. So ANA87 frying to Tokyo, Haneda. That’s our flight. And the original flight was 250. However, seems like there is a delay about the 40 minutes. So leaving at 3:30. Wait, that sounds not right. Which one is it? Oh, yeah. over there. Yeah, the 88. That’s our flight Friday. Leaving from 3:55 supposed to be, but there is a delay about 15 minutes. So, leaving 410. Not bad, huh? All right, we need to check in the luggage. So, that’s the line for the ANA. The line, not bad. So, I just placed the baggage and we still have an hour until the flight. So, let’s explore the airport. Next to it there is a gel check in too. So there is a souvenir shop in the first floor. It’s like the conveni. And in front of the arrival gate there are cool scissors. Yep. That’s arrival ry and scissor will welcome you. Ah, I think it’s my first time to see this restaurant in Japan. A&W. Yeah, drink is really popular, but I didn’t know they had the burger restaurant. A&W burger. 960 Japanese. Oh, should have tried that. Maybe we can find it in Okinawa. I can try it in the Okinawa trip. Yeah. It’s like a root beer, isn’t it? Yeah. Yeah, it says root beer. Interesting. And it’s the Makosoba restaurant. Also, those are the souvenir shop. And yeah, this is the guy I was talking about. Seems like he becomes a popular character in Mako Island. So, I guess that’s a Mako Island salt cookie and my island cider. It is a drink shop of Mako Island. Oh, interesting. Drinking mango. 100% mango. 2,160 Japanese yen. Fancy. They have so many different kinds of mango foods. Oh, and also Mako Island craft beer. Oh, looks pretty good. And many different kinds of souvenir here. It’s also souvenir shop. And I guess that’s souvenir shop, too. Oh, really? They are selling a pineapple. Interesting. Oh, wait. The security checkpoint seems like it’s super crowded. I believe we better be in line. I don’t want to be late. Let’s be in line. Seems like it would take a long time. And here waiting time is about 20 minutes. It only takes 6 minutes, but we already arrived to the wait time about 10 minutes line. So, probably it will take shorter than that. So altogether it took 60 minutes total. Not bad. So now we are inside the airport and it seems like it’s a small airport. There is a huge display over here and except that nothing much. Oh, maybe restaurant over there. Oh, so that’s the restaurant/souvenir shop and that’s it. It’s a small airport. Oh, they sell draft beer. 700 Japanese yen. No bad at all. Huh? Nice. Oh, in the vending machine they have a Okinawa special one, the Orea and also Okinawa drink. Interesting. Price is 200 Japanese yen. A bit expensive compared to the regular one, but uh yeah, it’s in the airport. Even the water 170. So, you know, it’s like the Disney. Seems like today it’s very crowded in the airport. Maybe because it’s a Friday afternoon. And we can see the airplane from here. Oh yeah. So this must be the gate. We can wait in front of it. There are so many student heading to Okinawa. Well maybe because from today summer break just started. So the student in Mako Island they are flying to Okinawa. So maybe they are playing the basketball with the other different kinds of team in Okinawa because in Mako Island it’s a small island. So they don’t have a much you know high school or junior high school in here. So that’s why I believe yeah good for them. So that’s the line for Okinawa and after that going to Haneda. So eventually there is a delay of the fried about 30 minutes. Temperature time becomes 4:25. So 20 minutes to go. All right. Finally. So that’s the wine. This time it’s a regular seat but beside the window. So perfect cuz I’m leaving. I want to check. Let’s go back to Tokyo. All right. So, let’s go. So, this is how the suit looks like. Unfortunately, there’s something in front of me. Maybe I can do it like this. Hope I don’t bother other people though. Unlucky see. There is a table, AC, and the lights on top. Plus, window. Yeah. From here, we can see better. So when I booked the flight, it was like last moment. So I only could book the flight in the morning flight and there was no availability in the afternoon. However, I think there was a cancellation and I could change it since ANA flight can change the flight for free. So I decide to change it to the afternoon flight and luckily the cancellation place was beside the window. So that’s why I could book the window seater. So, I guess I was pretty lucky. It’s raining outside. Hopefully, it’s not raining in Tokyo, though. [Music] So speaking of the flight from Maku Island to Tokyo, it takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes. Compared to the when I visit a Hokkaido, it was about an hour and something. Yes, Maku Island is pretty far. It’s almost Taiwan. So yes, it is one of the longest domestic flight from Tokyo. [Music] [Music] Finally, we arrived to Tokyo. It was kind of cold in the Friday, so I wear the jacket. But uh if I didn’t have the jacket, probably would be pretty cold. Well, I thought Mako Island would be a little bit cold over there during the night time. However, it was pretty hot. So, I had no time to use this jacket, but uh yep, I think I made a good decision. It was pretty useful in the flight. So, still we got all the way down. Still, we got to keep walking. It’s kind of hard, huh? Let’s go back to Tokyo Station. Let’s use the monoral this time, too. the entrance in the downstairs. Oh yeah, still we can find a seat. It is a starting train. So still there are many empty seats but it will be full soon [Music] and you need to transfer to the J line. You can use either Kishinto line or Yamanote line. Both of them heading to Tokyo station. Just pick whichever faster. And it seems like Yaman lines coming. So, let’s use the Yamanote line. All right. Finally, we’re in Tokyo station. All right. Sweet. Yep. We came back to Tokyo Station because the summer break in Japan just started from this weekend. There are so many kids in Tokyo station even it’s kind of late time. Yes, the summer break in Japan starting from end of July. So finally we came back to Tokyo station. Yep about 3 hours flight was pretty long. Well feels a bit tired but it was pretty fun too. So recap of the Mako Island trip. The flight cost about 95,000 Japanese yen. The hotel was 30,000 Japanese yen for two nights. And also the rental car was 20,000 Japanese yen for two days. So altogether it cost about 145,000 Japanese yen. That’s for the transportation fee and hotels. On top of it, there will be the money for the food and also if you want to join some activity, you need to pay money for that. So that’s the basic cost if you are traveling to the Mak Island from Tokyo. Anyways, hope those info will help for your next Japan trip. Well, speaking of the cost for the flight because I use the premium class when I go into the Mako Island, if you use the regular class, it cost about 15,000 Japanese yen less. So, the flight cost becomes about like 80,000 Japanese yen. Yeah. Anyway, so hopefully those info will help your next Japan trip. Well, it was expensive. However, the fun memory in Mako Island, that was priceless. So, if you want to visit kind of local island in Japan, Mako Island definitely I recommend it. In the future, I’m planning to visit different island in Okinawa Prefecture too. Of course, Okinawa main island and also I want to visit Ishigaki Island too if it’s possible.
