Day 11 in Japan was spent in Hakone where we saw Mount Fuji! πŸ—»πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅πŸŒΈβ›…οΈ #japan #ultimateambassador

Hi, my name is Katherine and I’m on a 3-week trip to Japan. And today is day 11 and it is the first day where I’m officially not in Tokyo anymore. I’m seeing the nature side and me and my tour group with EF Ultimate Break are going up this cable car and we are in the Hakone region checking out Mount Fuji. We have taken a cable car and we’re up here at this viewpoint checking out the Hakone like region and Mount Fuji is over there. But it’s known to be blocked by clouds. So the very tip is mocked, but I’m hoping it clears up. But I’m already happy that it’s a pretty clear day cuz yesterday was super rainy and cloudy and now it’s so clear. So, we really did luck out with the weather because it is known in this area to be very cloudy and foggy most of the time. And as you can see, it is so clear and sunny. It was just an absolutely beautiful day. And I was loving the nature after city life, guys. I found my first Japanese wildlife. There’s a lizard here. Look at him. This is amazing. Okay, we’re coming back because it cleared up and you can see Mount Fuji. And then it ended up clearing up even more because we couldn’t see the tip of Mount Fuji and then we could and afterwards we went down the mountain from the cable car and took this boat across the lake here and it was just so beautiful. There were swings on the boat and it was just such beautiful scenery. The water and the sky was so blue. It was just so nice to be able to explore a different part of Japan. And once we got to land, we had lunchtime and me and a lot of the other people in the group, we found this tempora place. They didn’t have tempura shrimp or anything. They had more so chicken, which had never had tempora chicken before, but it was really good. And Japanese eggs are topped here. And the yolk in Japan is just like orange. It is so good. We just got to our room here in Hakone. We’re here for one night. And it’s very traditional. You come in. I’m already in slippers. And then you go into the room and we’re sleeping on the floor, but they have extra extra cushioning if we need it. And you have so much more space. And then the view is of the mountains and you can see Mount Fuji in the distance. But very nice. This is our traditional stay here in Japan. This hotel was definitely the most traditional and unique hotel we stayed at during our entire trip with EF Ultimate Break. We even had an included traditional dinner that had rice and miso soup, some chicken, tofu, fish, just a bit of everything to try out. And we also had an early night, which was nice to be able to have a bit of a slower pace night and some rest. And that was day 11.

  1. for some reason I imagined you were boarding a three week trip riding a cable car, like only inside the cable car XD

  2. If you can do bike ride then definitely consider doing it! Japan has one of the most scenic routes
