Tokyo Travel 1-Day Itinerary Harajuku

[Music] Planning a trip to Japan. In this video, we’ll be covering one full day plan of the Harajuku area. You can access this place from any of the two stations. Mijiingu my Harajuku station or the Harajuku station. First, let’s check out Maji Jingu Shrine, a peaceful retreat right next to the bustling Harajuku. From any of the two stations mentioned before, it’s a 10-minute walk to the shrine through a nice forested shady path. After you pass the first Tori gate, the atmosphere is just amazing. You’ll see greenery all around you and it’s a very pleasant walk. [Music] [Music] An area of sake baronss known as kazari daru in Japanese adorned with calligraphy symbolize gratitude towards the deities look really impressive. One of the most serene areas of the shrine is the inner garden with an admission fee of 500 Japanese yen. It’s a stunning green place with pawns, flowers, and even a traditional tea house. If you don’t mind some extra walking, I highly recommend seeing it. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] The water basin known as Chosuya in Japanese is used for purification ritual to wash hands and mouth before entering the shrine. Hey. [Music] [Music] Being a religious place, photography is not allowed beyond this point. But the inside hall is really impressive. Don’t miss out on writing your wish on the wooden plaques called Emma and hanging it. After visiting the shrine, let’s head back towards the station and go to Teshta Street. As you cross Harajuku station, the mood totally changes. The atmosphere becomes very lively and energetic. Takeshta street. It’s a vibrant street known for its hip fashion, unique stores and crepe shops. [Music] It feels like stepping into a colorful world where every storefront is a visual feast. You can spot unique souvenirs and overloads of cute stuff. [Music] Make sure to stop in between shopping to try some crepes or cali potatoes or the multicolored cotton candies. [Music] for animal lovers. There are cat cafes, dog cafes, and even a pig cafe. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Another thing that makes this street so different is that you’ll see many Japanese youngsters dressed up like animation characters. [Music] As we are ending this video soon, let me share a few vegetarianfriendly food options. [Music] [Music] I hope you enjoyed watching this video and I hope whenever you have a chance to visit this place, you’ll enjoy the contrast of a calm, serene, and green area on one hand and a hustling, bustling, vibrant area on the other, both in close proximity.
