Film By Chirpy Kitakyushu • Safari Kitakyushu Travel Part 1 4K To watch in clear picture quality, please adjust the picture quality in the settings Incheon Airport Terminal2 Incheon Airport Terminal 2 The day I left for Kitakyushu ☀️ Kitakyushu is (still) served only by Jin Air and Korean Air, so I came to Terminal 2 for the first time in a long time . Departure! 🛫 This time, we will travel to Northern Kyushu for 3 nights and 4 days. We will start from Mojiko in Kitakyushu City, then go through Usa, Hita, and Ukiha before exiting Fukuoka. Kitakyushu Airport First, someone who had been to Fukuoka👩❤️👨 rented a car and met us at Kitakyushu Airport. This time, the rental car is a Suzuki Jimny Sierra 💕 I thought the design was cute, so I finally got to ride it ℹ️ Jimny Sierra rental car (about 150,000 won for 2 days) – Rent and return in Fukuoka City Heading to Mojiko from Kitakyushu Airport Mojiko is a port area in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture . We arrived in the late afternoon due to a delayed flight, and the sun was already setting. 😭 Changing our mood with jjaji milk pudding 💕 It took about 30 minutes to enter Mojiko . It is a historical place that once prospered as a trading port, but is now more famous as a retro-style tourist attraction. As soon as we arrived, we checked in at the hotel, Premier Hotel . Mojiko Premier Hotel Mojiko The interior is antique and luxurious . It is said to have been designed by Italian architect Aldorossi. It is a 5-minute boat ride from Mojiko Port to Shimonoseki Port in Honshu, so many people travel together. It is a cozy room with an old-fashioned feel. The ocean view looks beautiful when the sun rises. Yukiwa ukiwa 門司港 西海岸 (焼きカレー) I quickly dropped my luggage off at the hotel and went out to eat. Tonight’s menu is Mojiko’s famous yaki curry. I ordered yaki curry. Yaki curry is a dish where curry is topped on rice, cheese, and eggs, and baked in the oven. It feels like eating a delicious home-cooked meal. 💕 As I walk around, the buildings that I see at first glance are old-fashioned and really retro. Mojiko Station Mojiko Station Let’s go inside Mojiko Station. It is said to be a wooden building built in 1914 and a station designated as a nationally important cultural property. The building is somehow unusual in its grandeur. Starbucks also has a retro feel. The platform is so emotional.. I got out of the station and walked towards the sea. Passing the quiet Mojiko Port 🛳️ I arrived at the Mojiko Retro Observatory. On the left, you can see the Kanmon Bridge connecting Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu. The Shimonoseki night view across from the hotel we were staying at to the south 🎆 Why was it cloudy the next day .. I had breakfast with bread I bought at Lawson. It was delicious..💕 The port felt good even though the weather was cloudy. I went for a short walk before checking out. The well-preserved old buildings seem to blend in with the modern buildings to create a retro feel. I came back because Mojiko Station was close to my hotel. It felt good even during the day 👍🏻 They even sell curry from vending machines 👀 Mojiko Retro flourished as an international trade port in the late 19th century, so the Western-style buildings built at that time are still well preserved. Maybe that’s why it feels like looking at a modern Japanese movie set. It’s a very quiet place. Looking at it this way, it also has a European feel. There used to be a Banana Man statue near here, but I don’t see it because it’s been moved. Instead, I found a Pokemon manhole cover 😆 On the way to the next destination, let’s go to Showa no Machi in Bungotakada City, Oita Prefecture. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes by car to arrive at Showa no Machi! Showa no Machi literally means ‘Showa Street’. It’s free to look around the town, but you have to buy a ticket to enter some of the paid spaces. This is one of the paid spaces! I didn’t buy a ticket, so I just took a quick look. There’s also Germ Man and Jjangrangi. Showa no Machi Showa no Machi is a small town that recreates the atmosphere of the Showa period in the 1950s . They have restored stores that actually existed, such as old stationery and general stores, and they still use old signs and props, so it feels like you’ve time-slipped back to that era. The general store is full of retro sensibility. Old electronic products. I came to a cafe in Brazil’s 伯剌西爾(ブラジル)珈琲舎 to take a break. I ordered a dessert & coffee set and a parfait. The cake was refreshing and the parfait was delicious. 😭 The bonnet bus that actually ran in the Showa period! Tourists can also ride the bus and look out the window. Tsuzumi Dango Stopped at a dango shop in Showa-no-machi Station Street for dango takeout 💕 I found a unique Coca-Cola vending machine, so I got one and tried it with some dango . The dango is really delicious..👍🏻 I heard that there is an African Safari in Usa City, Oita Prefecture, where you can see animals while renting a car, so I decided to go. I almost arrived, as a plateau spread out before my eyes . You can see over 50 species of animals on this 350,000-square-foot plateau! Pay at the tollgate and go in. The entrance fee is 2,600 yen per adult. You can also experience feeding the jungle bus. The bus is so cute..😆 Departure from African Safari 🚖 What is this scary iron gate.. 😳 It seems necessary because the animals can move freely . It feels like I’m in Jurassic Park . They say it’s the largest safari in Japan. Animals start to appear 🙄 Lock the doors and don’t open the windows when moving in a car 🚫 This is the bear and wild animal zone 🪧 The bear you see right away 🐻 It’s a 25-year-old black bear that’s 1.4-1.9 m long. According to the guide, this guy is 1.8 m tall and weighs 150 kg. For some reason, the bear looks angry.. Next is the lion zone 🪧 How many lions are there..😳 It occurred to me suddenly, but it was the first time in my life that I’ve seen a lion’s expression this close..ㅎㅎ Seriously It feels like watching a live-action version of the Lion King 🦁 The plateau is so wide that the animals seem to be relatively free Next is the herbivore area 🪧 Waiting for a zebra crossing the road 🦓 Judging by the lack of movement, it seems like this one is waiting too.. Unfortunately, the rain continues to fall 🌧️ I was curious because the animals were still and motionless, but I heard that it’s because they often rest during the day . They are more active in the early morning or evening.. Hello, lost deer 🦌 Following that, rhinoceroses 🦏 Wow, are they fighting? Those guys are playing around ☺️ Seeing the rhinoceros reminds me of by Ruri. It’s a children’s book, and the main character is a rhinoceros named ‘Noden’. It’s a sad story about a wounded rhinoceros and a penguin enduring life through each other and getting through the long night with affection . I cried a lot because it was a sad story.. but I suddenly got so immersed that I look like a sad-eyed Noden..😅 Elephant! 🐘 It is 3m tall and weighs over 3.5t (tons). It is huge, but somehow cute. 🐘 An elephant dancing softly 💕 It must be feeling good ㅎㅎ Giraffes and deer that are 5m tall 🦒🦌 Look at their pretty eyes 🥺 The way they eat munching is cute Next is the cheetah zone 🪧 The cheetah right in front of you 😳 It looks majestic, but its expression is cute ㅎㅎ This is the first time I realized that cheetahs are part of the feline family..🙀 The zebra that follows 🦓 This is where each person lives 🪧 Lastly, we came to the antelope zone. Antelopes are wild animals that belong to the bovine family and resemble goats . These guys are crazy about eating 🤭 A more realistic safari than I imagined 💕 Since we will be moving to Hita City next, I asked ChatGPT what Hita’s specialty is. Hita is a small city located in Oita Prefecture . On the way to Hita, I passed by a town with many people, so I looked it up and it was Yufuin . Next, I’m planning to travel to the neighboring city of Ukiha. Please look forward to Part 2. 💕 There are things you’re curious about. If you don’t go and find the answers yourself, you’ll never know. Go to a wider world. – Ruri NEXT The end of Episode 1 in Northern Kyushu
