I used it as a transportation card throughout my trip to Sapporo. It takes 45 minutes to get to downtown Sapporo by taking the JR airport train. The interval between trains is 15 minutes and the regular seat is 1,150 yen. Once you arrive at Sapporo Station, your first mission is complete! The first destination is a cost-effective sushi restaurant called Nemuro Hanamaru near Sapporo Station. I waited for almost an hour and finally got in. Nemuro Hanamaru is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located on the 6th floor of Stella Place, where you can enjoy fresh seafood. First, look at the menu and write down the number, quantity, and whether you want wasabi on the order form. And I decided to go to Don Quijote for shopping on the last day, so I headed to GU on the first day. I’m short, so I always have to shorten my jeans when I buy them. But I was so surprised that the length was just right. The clothes I wore on the last day were all bought in Sapporo. I got a 10% tax-free discount that day! For dinner, I chose a famous miso ramen restaurant near Susukino. In fact, Sapporo is the birthplace of miso ramen (miso ramen). The noodles were chewy, but the soup was rich and delicious, but I think it’s a menu that Koreans really like and dislike. Still, since it’s the birthplace, I recommend trying miso ramen. At that time, if you entered Hokkaido and conquered it, they said they would give you the land. That’s why Hokkaido has a lot of landowners. The first destination of the bus tour is Blue Pond! It’s not the real color. It’s so beautiful. Blue Pond is an artificial pond created by a levee that was built to block the inflow of debris from Mt. Tokachi by a nearby active volcano. The water color here is also beautiful. Not far from Blue Pond is Shirahige Falls, which doesn’t freeze even in winter because it’s a hot spring. It’s a beautiful sight. Next, we headed to the 44.5m clock tower observatory. Admission is free, and you can see the whole Biei at a glance from here. First, Biei Station is a place where you can take the JR train from Sapporo Station and travel independently. Next time, if I come on my own, I want to rent a bicycle in front of the train station and take a quick ride around the town. It was a cute town. There is also a bicycle rental shop right in front of Biei Station. Since I had some time to spare, I bought a melon for 500 yen and yogurt for 300 yen. The place I was most looking forward to in Biei was Patchwork Road. It is a beautiful place no matter the season, as it has been featured in various advertisements. I want to ride a bicycle around Patchwork someday. I looked it up and found that it is a place that many people visit for bicycle trips. It is also a great place to take pictures. Be sure to try the ice cream here. It’s really delicious. Actually, I visited in June and couldn’t see the flowers at their peak. It was summer. If you ride at night, make sure to get a front seat when you board. There were so many people that I watched from the back with my legs crossed. Arrived at the observatory. The operating hours here are until 10 PM. Mt. Moawayama, which is 531 meters above sea level, offers a view of downtown Sapporo. Take the JR train to Otaru from Exit 4 of Sapporo Station. The main itinerary for the third day is a free tour of Otaru near Sapporo. If you take the Hakodate Main Line from Sapporo Station, it takes about 42 minutes and costs 750 yen! If you want to get there a little faster, you can take the rapid airport train. Oh, of course, we had a lot of time. We were able to move around conveniently here using our IC card. Our first destination after arriving at Otaru was lunch! The weather was so nice. We also passed by the traditional market. The place we originally wanted to go to was closed on Wednesdays. I think I waited for almost 20 minutes. But you should definitely try the cheesecake here. You can also buy it to go. Steam clock tower. There is a steam clock tower right next to LeTAO. It is a place where steam is released every 15 minutes. Right behind the clock tower is the main building of the Music Box Museum. You can see it without an admission fee. It is so pretty. This is a music box museum where you can listen to the music boxes and buy them. I was going to go back, but I really wanted to go to the railroad crossing that I saw from the train. Someone was waving outside the window, so I mustered up the courage to say hello to the people on the train. I also need to get back on the train and go back to Sapporo. Deciding what to eat when I return to Sapporo. The menu I ate when I returned to Sapporo was Haruka, located in the ramen street, a 5-minute walk from Susukino. I waited for about an hour. It is a small ramen restaurant, but the owner here is very kind. The menu I ordered was the local corn butter miso ramen. The butter corn had a chewy texture, and the soup was just right for my taste. And the other menus were also very addictive. I recommend this place. (But the wait was long.) And that’s how the third day passed. The last day is a tour of downtown Sapporo. Nijo Market. Nijo Market is a place where seafood sold at auction at the Central Wholesale Market is sold right away. It sells seafood right away. The morning market is famous. The clock tower is a wooden building built in 1878. They say the bell rings every hour, but I couldn’t wait until the hour. The outside is free to see, but there is an admission fee to enter the inside. Next is the Hokkaido Government Office, a nationally designated important cultural property with free admission.
