Our Favourite Breakfasts in Nagano Japan.

Nago is one of our favorite cities in Japan. It is a gateway to many ski resorts in the area and also a great place to spend a few days. When you arrive at the Nago JR station in the morning and are hungry for a convenient and delicious breakfast at the station before heading to the ski fields or wherever you’re headed, this video is for you. Here are our recommended eeries for breakfast at the Nagago JR station. This list is in no particular order. [Music] First Eery is located on the second floor of the station beside Midori. This place serves up lovely bowls of soba. You know the meal will be quick as soon as you enter. This place has no seats and everyone is enjoying their meals standing up. Place your order at the machine. Hand the ticket to the chef and your delicious bowl of soba will be served shortly. [Music] Spice up your bowl with shiimi toarashi, a blend of seven spices from Yawataya Isogoro, a famous nagano spice producer. If you like the spices, you can head to the Midori next door to buy some as a souvenir. The next itery is located near the bus base outside the east exit of the Nago JR station. Perfect if you’re taking the buses to the ski fields and don’t want to wander too far away. They don’t seem to have an English name, so you can be assured of a pure Japanese experience. They serve both udon and soba bowls which are more substantial than the previous ery with more protein options. [Music] You can have a more leisurely breakfast seated around the main counter. [Music] If you’re not into noodles and prefer a more western breakfast, head to Beex’s Coffee Shop. This place is quite busy, probably because of its location just near the train ticketing machines and the turn styles from the train platforms. You can have espresso style coffees, soups, and sandwich options here. Beex is also connected to the tourist information center. So, if you need more information about the area, you can grab a brochure and do some light reading while having breakfast. The last ery is located on the ground floor. Although this is a chain restaurant, this is really budget friendly and good value for money. What we liked about this place is you can amp up your bowl of udon with some crispy tempura. They also promote seasonal ingredients. And when we visited it was scallops. So that was what Nick ordered. [Music] Overall a pleasant meal at a good price. [Music] Thank you for watching this video.
