Naomi Osaka has officially parted ways with Patrick Mouratoglou, ending the player-coach relationship after 10 months working together.
Osaka announced her split with Mouratoglou in a post on social media, taking to X to thank the Frenchman.
Recent results have not been great for the Japanese star, who continues to struggle in returning to the form that guided her to four Grand Slam titles.
Her most recent defeat came at the Washington Open, where Osaka lost to Emma Raducanu in straight sets.
Serena Williams‘ former coach, Rick Macci, has since made a prediction about the 27-year-old and said where she needs to improve going forward.

On X, Macci said of Osaka: “Winning/ losing is a fine line. Naomi can flip the script with the right choice and what she 100% needs and a proven voice.
“Her split step is way off, and overall anticipation is on vacation. This can be corrected if it is explained in detail, and no doubt her confidence will not fail.”

He continued in another post: “She can be back in the top ten by year end. Osaka has the juice but her court position has been loose. Her overall tactics has been wrong has to play too much D and hits long.
“If she has a proven focused voice, then when she launches, she will make a better choice.”
Rick Macci says Naomi Osaka can be ‘one of the chosen few’
Macci added: “Osaka has the serve. Unreal live arm. But her percentage can be higher.
“Her racquet the last few matches has been in the back area way too soon, creating less external shoulder rotation, and the leg drive is not triggering the racquet entry.
“Hard to see with the human eye, but if she addresses the serve from a science point of view once again, she can be one of the chosen few.”
Osaka’s next tournament will be the Canadian Open in Montreal, where she’ll face Ariana Arseneault in the first round.
