Full Review! Singapore Airlines Business Class 787 10 Seoul to Singapore

I could not be more excited to travel to Singapore. After three fantastic nights in Soul, South Korea, my buddy Dave and I are taking the 7 to 7 and 1/2 hour flight down to Singapore. It’s one of our favorite cities in the world, one that we first went to over a decade ago, and we are going be doing it in style. Flying on Singapore Airlines business class aboard the Boeing 78710. Now, we’re going to go through everything from the arrival at the airport to visiting two different lounges, both Asiana and Singapore. And of course, we’re going to go through the entire flight experience. Let’s pick it up here in Seoul. Seoul has been very good to us. Leaving the park here and we are headed off to the airport. We’re going to go check out Singapore. We got the Singapore 78710 biz down there. Come along with us. Check out the lounge here in Seoul. and then Singapore for a couple nights and then we’re off to India. No longer. We chose the Park Hayatt Soul as our home base. 25,000 World of Hyatt points a night. Davis Globalist. He used a sweet upgrade certificate and put us in a beautiful one-bedroom suite. It’s located across the street from the Starfield Coax Mall, which features the Starfield Library and the Hyundai Department Store. A very cool spot. I’d potentially look at the Andas, which is more in the heart of Gangdom the next time. Either which way you go, that part of town is like an hour from ICN. So, budget that in. And uh don’t panic when you think you lose your camera like I just did right here. Just thought I lost this camera. We’re all checked in. How you feeling? Feeling good. I’m feeling 5 in the morning. Feeling pretty good. It’s bright, too. Uh all right. Let’s go check out that Singapore lounge here at the ICN. And then there’s also maybe we’ll pop into the Asian lounge too. So uh head and do security. We got two options. Hope it’s fast. I think it will be. See you soon. As soon as you’re out of security. You can see that massive Asiana lounge behind. So we’re going to go check that out. Then we’ll go do the Singapore lounge. But uh this is a big big nice airport. So it’s going to be fun. You see it? See where it says? All right. Here we go. Let’s go check this bad boy out. [Music] Duty-free pickup transfer lounge information. Look at all of the different things. Oh, look. Business suite. So, that’s only if you’re in business suites can you go to that one. And we’re at this one, which is not. We’ll go to that one next. So, we’re right here. Is there business lounge central? Oh, so then over there is where the if we had suites on this leg, we could go to. Okay. So, I think we’re good to go. Let’s go in. Check it out. There’s actually three different Asiana lounges. They’re all in Terminal 1, East, Central, and West. East is near gate 11. Central, which we’re checking out, is near gate 26, and west is near gate 43. They’re all on the fourth floor, and they’re all accessible to business class passengers flying on Asiana or if you’re on a partner airline. In addition, if you’re Star Alliance Gold, you can bring in a guest. And if you’re Asiana Club, Platinum, Diamond Plus, or Diamond, you can also bring in a guest. As you can see, the lounge features more warm, subtle colors and subdued lighting. There’s multiple different areas where you can sit depending on whether or not you want to be close to where the buffet is or you want quiet workspaces. There’s also a bar that we passed coming in, which was very beautiful. That’s the whole lounge it looks like. Let’s check out the showers real quick, but not that big. See a bunch of Asian fly uh planes out there, aircraft. Unfortunately, we’re not going to get to see the shower suites. They’re all occupied, but they have a few of them. All right, we’re heading to the next one. Chris Flyer, here we come. [Music] Now, we are going to the Singapore Lounge. Let’s go check this bad boy out. The Singapore Lounge is near gate 26, also on the fourth floor. And this is a much smaller lounge. I actually preferred this. I thought the whole vibe of the lounge was a little bit smaller, a little bit more intimate. And they have this cool little LED mask thing. My wife wears one of these sometimes. These are really expensive and you could just go up and like pop them on and try it. So Dave and I both did that. There’s a beautiful bar, beautiful buffet, and they also had shower suites which were occupied. But let’s get to that flight. We’re off to the gates. 78710 Singapore Airlines sold to Singapore. Here we come. All right, there we go. There’s our 78710. Look at that boot. Look at the boot. Here we go. There’s a total of 36 seats across nine rows in a one to one configuration. All the seats are li flat. Every seat has all aisle access. And these seats were actually made by Steelia Aerospace. This is called their Symphony model, which you may recognize from Turkish Airlines. It’s pretty narrow in there, I’d say. put it down in there. And then the nice thing, really nice thing is my whole backpack goes under there. That is fantastic. Ordinarily in business class, you don’t have that ability, especially in a seat that is kind of this tight cuz you have to remember we’re on a 7710, so this aircraft is narrower than those big trip 7s. You can see here that this gives our seat a lot more privacy. So you have your own little alleyway here, kind of little aisle. And then if you look over, fairly private. Looking over at the other seat there, you can see you’ve got a storage here, the bottle of water, got your headphones. Let me come out here a little bit. Your menu. And then it’s nice that all these charging ports are actually back behind this door. How nice is that? So that you can be charging your devices in here so that, you know, you don’t have to worry about them getting stolen or something. They’re just right in there. And then it looks like I don’t know if this is Wi-Fi or be able to pay for something duty-free. I’m not really sure what this is yet. We’ll see on the plane. A couple of USB ports. That’s nice. And you can see down here all of the seating controls, all of your IF controls. Very, very nice. Super simple to see. And then you got your headphone jack here. So, very easy. Of course, it came with slippers. Nice. Maybe I’ll take my phone out. And then you can see Dave and I actually chose these seats because they’re so close to one another when you have this divider that goes up here. See you Dave. See you Dave. Where’d he go? But you can see I’ll flip this around. You can see these would be much nicer if you’re in the center. And you can see the same sort of thing over here. Those are a little bit more private than those. All right, it is about time to begin our 7-hour journey down to Singapore. Let’s steal our personal items. Let’s get that seat belt fastened. Let’s get something on the TV to watch. Let’s get the headphones on, the seat reclined, the feet up, and let’s figure out how we’re going to light this bad boy. Let’s get the partition down so Dave and I can celebrate with a little celebratory glass of champagne. Let’s pop over and check out the bathroom, which is standard size. I mean, this is no bigger than what you’d find on just an ordinary plane probably flying domestically across the United States. However, Singapore likes to stock this with amenities that you are not going to find in an amenity kit. So, you have a hairbrush, you have your toothbrush, you have your saving kit. All of those things that you might ordinarily find in an amenity kit, Singapore puts them in the bathroom. Popping back to the seat, we’re getting prepared for our dining portion of the flight. And you can see that this is fairly tight. I mean, the tray table is right up to my belly, and I’m about 60, 170, 180 lbs. If you ever fly Singapore Airlines, whether you’re in business or first, the chicken saté with the peanut sauce is absolutely fantastic and I would say a must order. [Music] Two things that Singapore basically excels at, service and food. And Dave just said he went to lick his plate. And I went to lick his plate, too. But only after I left my place. Is that weird? I don’t know. It was delicious though. Service has been impeccable. Food has been impeccable. Let’s take a look. We’ve just given our amenity kits. How cool are these? From Leabo. Let’s check them out. How cool they look. [Music] If you recall, Leil Labo is the brand that you most frequently see at Park Hayatt. And we’ve got this is a face mist. Got a lip balm hand pomade, you know. I have no idea what this is. Just have a toothbrush in the Oh, maybe or like to put your toothbrush in with the toothbrush head cuz the shaving kit and the toothbrush are at the bathroom. Bathroom. Simply that’s what that’s for. Very nice. There was quite a large break in between the appetizer and main course, so I hopped on the free Wi-Fi. That is a salad with ham. I ordered two things of bread. We have a nice ficasha and a garlic bread, but this bread and butter is only one. I like to put a little salt on my butter with I like to do a little smash of it. It’s the best. But for this bread, I want to make I’m going to royally surprise. It’s delicious. It’s already had a bite. I’m sorry I’m an absolute animal, but that bread was delicious. Now, on this flight, I actually chose book to cook. And that is salmon. When I tell you that that salmon was as good as you would have in a restaurant, I mean it. It was absolutely delicious. A little green tea hogenas. And then we got a cheese plate going on here. Check this bad boy out. Not going to lie, I had to wrestle with this green tea ice cream a little bit. It was hard as a rock, but it was quite tasty. All in all, dining service, five stars. Let’s pop into bed mode. Let’s see what it would be like if you are lying here trying to sleep, which we were not going to cuz we’re going to get to Singapore. This is a day flight. All right, here we are. So, my feet are at the end. This is a super comfy pillow, by the way. But I mean, you’re in a cocoon. And it feels very private, actually. For like how dense this business class is, it feels very private. I’ll flip it around and show you my feet. You can see, I mean, I got plenty of room. Like, if I had to sleep, this is narrow. I don’t know if I mind it. Let’s see if I turn on my side. Oh, wow. Not too bad. I can still stack my legs. Still stack my legs. Having this though is major cuz this is basically my ey line from right here and then this [Music] is with that down. If that was up I mean you are in a cocoon. This is looking straight up pretty great. I mean the bed is more comfortable than the super diamond. So that I’ve flown like we saw it on the BA club suit. We saw it on just a lot of different cabins. I think this is actually much more comfortable. I don’t feel any pieces like jabbing me in the back. And I’m about 6 feet between 170 180 right now. And my shoulder width feels pretty good as well. But the leg I mean the footwell is a little bit tight, but overall I mean this is pretty fantastic. And I love this feature. [Music] the fact that you can pull that down. So, the angle’s so much better. Like, look at that. The angle to watch the TV so much better than when it’s just flat. Anyways, very good. Very good. Impressed. Not that I’m surprised. Singapore always hit Singapore always kind of hits a home run. So, very good. Cabin lights are back on. We have about 20 30 minutes left of the flights. Fantastic flight. The only thing I think that could be a complaint is that there was an enormous amount of time between appetizer and the entree. I’m talking 30 to 45 minutes, which is just sort of strange. I don’t know if something happened, but that was just really strange. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Really, really nice seat, amazing service. The food was fantastic. I’m excited to get back into Singapore. from Singapore. Bye. We made it. See you soon. Singapore. A little bit early. Just 2:00. It was awesome flight. Awesome flight. As always, thank you very much for watching our review of the Singapore Airlines 78710 Business Class.
