Solo Camping & Motorcycle Adventure in Nishiaizu, Fukushima JAPAN
Kirinzan Park is a free campsite and I stayed there last night. Continue straight on Route 49 towards Aizuwakamatsu. It’s hot again today. My arms are getting really sunburned. Since I entered Fukushima Prefecture, there are many mountains and tunnels. Traveling brings new encounters. You can hear a lot of interesting stories. I met someone who was cycling around Japan. so cool Something’s wrong with my headlights since last night. Maybe it’s the battery or the bulb that’s blown out. I looked for a motorcycle shop in Nishiaizu. Auto Shop Futaba. The owner was very kind to me and even shared his travel stories with me. I highly recommend this motorcycle shop. The headlight parts were worn out and the bulbs had to be replaced. The Super Cub is great because it’s easy to change gears. It is said that Oyamazumi Shrine here is “the mountain god who will grant any wish you make once in your lifetime.” The main shrine of Oyamazumi Shrine is about 4km long from the worship hall along the approach. Bear protection and warding bells are essential. ‘Fudo Falls’ Snacks in the great outdoors are the best. ‘kameda usuyaki’ ‘Yasaku Falls’ I finally arrived at the main shrine after about an hour of leisurely climbing. Restroom I didn’t meet Kuma-chan. After finishing a hiking, I always have black coffee. ‘Georgia Platinum Black’ First time? Second time filling up with gas. It always costs 300 yen to fill up. Fuji no Yu. Adults 450 yen (bath only). Sauna is charged separately. Aizuwakamatsu, Kodomo no Mori Campground. Free to use. Reservation required. Please see the details for reservation information. A few days later, a bear was spotted and the campsite is now closed (as of July 2025). Please check before you go. There is water, grilled spaces, and toilet (rest room). All Free to use. Next time, we will show you around Aizuwakamatsu city. Thank you for watching. See you again.
