Junglia Okinawa Japan Theme Park Full Tour Experience – Watch Before You Go

This is a full tour of Japan’s Jungleia Okinawa theme park. So, today I’m in Okinawa and I’ve been waiting for this day for 2 years now. This park is still not officially open, but I’ve got full access to take you inside, show you the ins and outs, show you all the rides. Let’s go inside and get this one started. [Music] This is Jungalia, Okinawa’s newest adventure theme park that just opened on July 25th. Hidden deep in Japan’s untouched jungle of northern Okinawa, this 148 acre wonderland is just a 1 and a half hour drive from the airport. Set aside in the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site of Yambatu, Jungalia has set itself apart with heartpounding rides, wild nature experiences, and even life-sized dinosaurs with its local food and jungle adventures that you won’t find anywhere else like this in the world. And today, I’m taking you on a full comprehensive deep dive into this interactive world. So, fair warning, this video has gone long like a show home run ball. So, just look at this tree. It even has some special hidden marks on it. So, fortunately, I got a special pre-opening invitation to experience the park firsthand, but you can get your own tickets either online or at a ticketing booth at the front. Full disclosure, though, I wasn’t paid to make this video. I bought my own hotel and flight here, so this is my sincere review of the place. Here we go. We are going inside. Seriously, I do not know what to expect, but I’m just excited to be here to be able to show you guys a first look at this park. The first thing I noticed is how immersive their natural jungle environment is with real deal subtropical vegetation. Seriously, welcome to the jungle. It’s got fun and games as well as an observation deck with a stunning panoramic view of the entire park. It is bright today. It is super super bright. Like the clouds are coming in and out. So bear with me. I might have to wear my sunglasses once in a while cuz I just can’t see. But so we just made it through the main area and then behind me is the entire park. They have like this big balloon out there. It says Jungle Leia. You have a Brontosaurus Rex that’s just standing over there. I think you got a track here. Maybe that’s where the buggy is going to be. Over there you have the zipline. Quite a lot going on. I’m quite excited. This is awesome. Let’s go do this. [Music] So, now that we’re in the thick of things, then I really feel like I’m in the jungle. Like, literally, they’ve taken the jungle and made it into an amusement park because a lot of it is just the the natural landscape of this area. All right, so this is the first ride. This is the dinosaur safari. I have no idea what this is going to be like, but hey, we’re not going to know until we try. So, let’s go. So this feels like you are in like a military facility. You got the guards out there. Containers here. They even have like a military truck. This is pretty cool. I don’t know if you guys can hear the music behind me, but we’re about to go into like the terror zone. All right, here we go. So, after hopping on the back of this off-road military looking like truck, we’re off to meet some gentle herbivores dinosaurs thought to be extinct. I think at some point though, out of nowhere, a T-Rex is supposed to attack us, forcing us to escape into the jungle. For now, though, it’s a rather peaceful and slightly bumpy ride. Oh, he’s sleeping. Okay. [Music] [Music] [Music] Can we please look for underneath the dinosaur to shelter? Got to get the dinosaurs are coming. [Music] getting T-Rex nearby. [Music] [Music] Wow. Wow. That was amazing. That was such a good ride. Honestly, that’s probably one of the best rides I’ve been to than an amusement park. After the ride, there’s a little surprise with a realistic T-Rex. Oh, that was such an incredible experience. That was so interactive. I like the part where you get off and you get back on. That was brilliant. Would love to do that again. I’m sure they’re going to improve some of the stuff and I just don’t know how they’re going to scale, but definitely worth just coming on this ride alone. Oh, look at this. Different than most theme parks, they actually offer souvenir video clips as well instead of just standard pictures. I kind of like how they’ve switched it up. We are off to another dinosaur ride. We’re walking all around. Luckily, they have these little sprinklers, little misters. Just make sure you don’t get like super super hot. All right, so we are going to do a finding dinosaurs right now. Have no idea what it’s going to be like, but let’s just go inside and see what’s up. [Music] Power. See if we can find a dinosaur right now. Here’s some birds. [Music] actually having to like sweat through a lot of this amusement which is pretty cool. Dinosaur [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Motherchee. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] We actually really need to push this to make it work. If we don’t push it, we don’t go forward. [Music] look fairly realistic. Well, as realistic as you can get, I guess. And in this last ride, they somehow were able to make these ones a little more cute and friendly. Wow, that was a pretty involved attraction. You know, some rides that you’ve gone on before, like it’s so short, but these ones are so involved. Feels like you’re part of the entire ride and then just kept on going. So, yeah. Yeah, that was a thoroughly enjoyable. I know the kids will love that one for sure. I don’t know how they’re going to make it all happen when there’s like a lot of people because it’s just s just a long ride. But hey, it was worth it nonetheless. Wow, it is so hot. You can see I’m sweating. So hot. It’s fire. But you know what else is fire? My Paulo from Tokyo premium kaminari hot sauce. Seriously, this hot sauce is like no other. Born in the snowcovered base of Mounto in Nikata Prefecture and crafted only in Japan. It starts with snow bathed chilies which are then aged for no less than six years to make each premium bottle. They’re older than my son. The original is complete fire crafted with Carolina Reapers while um Mommy Ocean is a milder version still packed with the original’s unique flavor. It’s my wife’s go-to since she can’t handle the heat of the original like I can. And yeah, we were sold out, but now we have a limited batch available online again. Or if you’re in Japan, we have a vending machine in Shibuya. If you want to feel the heat like me, go to poof from Tokyo sauce.com and get it online today. After a few rides, definitely need to get some food. So, we’re going to try this Wild Banquet place. I think they have a few different items that I’m excited to eat. Let’s see how it is. The Wild Banquet is a main dining area near the rides offering full meal items taking advantage of local Okinawan ingredients. It’s pretty big. Big enough that it has its own map. After all, this is a jungle experience, right? So, one thing about this place is they don’t have the indoor dining. So, we’re actually dining outside. This is the vegetable curry. Supposed to be hiasa, meaning that it is chilled. M like a very light tomato curry that has a little bit of spiciness. The tomatoes is like really strong. You got the bitterness from the gourd lotus root. It’s pretty good and like a little bit salty. Quite refreshing on a day like this. Check out this burger. This is like the main show right here. Look at this burger. Take a bite out of this with my dinosaur teeth as Michael likes to say. [Music] Wow, that burger is delicious. So on top you have this cheesiness. What is that? It’s like breaded cheese, maybe like onions on top. And then inside grilled onion, bacon, cheese, burger, tomato, and lettuce. And you have some of their special sauce. It looks like they’ve buttered it. The meat is chunky. It’s juicy. The grilled onions are cooked perfectly. Lettuce is nice and crispy. for a park burger. It’s a delicious burger. Like, I’ve never had a burger this good. No, I think they’re gonna do a performance. This review might be cut short. It was like a chef band show, which was pretty cool. It ended after a while, so now I can continue the food review. And then we got some corn here. Corn on the cob. M. Medium sweetness. Probably had a little bit more butter. I’ll give this one an okay. I don’t know. Has a very natural taste if that makes any sense. I also got to mention these guys. Fried potatoes. Caramelized sugar. [Music] M. Caramelized brown sugar drizzled on top. I was expecting it to be crunchy. More like a dried banana. It’s okay. I wouldn’t say this one’s lighting my fire or rev my engine. But it’s good. This is their pork kebab. Some basil, pork, lettuce, probably onion rings on there. And Wolfie got the kids meal. I heard about this is baby dinosaur. And this is dinosaur, tomato, broccoli. Is it good? What’s the sauce? What kind of sauce is that? I think this sauce says mayonnaise and ketchup. All right, before we leave, I had to try this guy. Have some passion fruit on top, shaved ice. That is so refreshing and hearty. It’s very citrusy. The actual shaved ice, I think it’s using citrusy shaved ice. Maybe it’s not like just ice, but it’s like flavored ice. M. Wow. This is unmistakably good. Food here is incredible. This is not like your Walmart amusement park style. Everything is just mass-produced. Feel like they put a lot of thought in the quality of their ingredients. But right now, like the ingredients and the hamburger, I’m just like kind of blown away. A great experience so far. For other lunch options, you’ll find several small food stalls throughout the park, as well as the one and only indoor restaurant with AC, Panorama Dining, near the entrance, which I’ll show you later in this video. So, I definitely recommend making reservations here if you’re going to need to take a break from the heat. But, you know, one of the things is that you really do got to be careful here because it does get really hot. Right now, there’s a little bit of cloud cover, so it’s not too bad. There’s not a lot of places where you can go inside and get some AC aside from like the souvenir shops and the bathrooms. So, you definitely want to be careful. Make sure you’re completely hydrated. Make sure to get a fan or whatever to you need to do to cool down because there’s not a lot of places to run away from the sun when it’s beating down. [Music] Okay, so here is a sky trekking course where I guess you can test your fear of heights and see whether or not you can go past all the obstacles that they set forth. This attraction as well as some other active rides prohibits skirts, sandals, high heels, and thick sold shoes. So keep that in mind. Hello. How’s it working here? Also, I love how the staff wave at me when I pass by. It’s a nice welcoming touch. Okay, so we are entering the jungle extreme area here. Oh, there’s someone like flying in the sky. This is a sky Phoenix ride. A zipline over the jungle which is supposed to make you feel like a bird. Signed my life over. Weigh myself just to make sure I don’t uh reach capacity on on the line. Okay, no need for a diet. [Music] I got to go walk all the way to that tower up there. All right. So, I’m about to go all the way up. To be honest with you guys, I’m a little bit scared of heights. But, you know, when you have all these harnesses and you know that they’re well trained, you have a little bit feel a little bit uneen like a little bit safe. I’m not going to fall out of the sky. [Music] We are making our way to the top. This is what I do for you guys. Looks like we have to wait a little bit. There’s people behind me. There’s probably like maybe 20 people in front of me up here at the top. But it takes about like maybe I don’t know 5 minutes for two people at least for them to like strap you in. And if that’s the case, there could be quite a wait for this ride, especially if there’s people lined up at the bottom. You don’t really want them to go any faster because you want them to follow all of the safety precautions, strap you in, and do like all the checks and stuff. But hopefully there is a payoff for this ride. So, we are on top of the world right now. Finally made it. You know, I am a little bit scared of heights, but be like 50 ropes attached to me, I think. So, I think we’re good. Let’s go. Looking over the edge. 3 2 1. Let’s go. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] Oh, that was awesome. I really felt like I was flying. That was such a cool experience. Yeah, that line was really, really long. But, you know, I think they’re trying to work out the kinks right now. But that was like pretty fun. Yeah, it wasn’t that scary at all. Like, I think people that are afraid of heights can actually do it themselves. But I feel like it’s starting to rain a little bit, so I think we need to move on a little bit. Let’s go to the next ride. on our way to the next ride. It started to rain a little bit and need to protect the camera a little bit. So, we’re just going to wait it out for just a second. The rain has let up a little bit. This is what happens when you are on a tropical island. We got to go back and continue our mission to show you guys. Wa! Got some AC cooling right here. Oh, that feels nice. This music just makes me want to keep on going. Okay, so the ride is just over there. We’re trying to get on next, but just another thunderstorm rolled in. Okay, so we’re just going to need to wait this one out. All right, so going to get the GoPro on for this one. This is the buggy voltage ride. So there’s a fun adventure and then there’s adrenaline challenge. I think we’re going to have to do the adrenaline challenge. Oh, and if you look, this is actually like a buggy behind me. Like a little like shape of a buggy. I just realized that right now. Buggy Voltage is one of the rides I was really looking forward to, as I actually get to drive a buggy. I had to be 18 years or older with a driver’s license to drive the large buggy. And if a passenger wants to ride along, they need to be 6 years or older and at least 120 cm tall. Oh, but the fun adventure course, though, allows kids 10 years or older to ride their own four-wheeler. Pretty cool. Let’s go. Now, let’s see how much adrenaline can get pumping through my veins. There’s not a lot of adrenaline. That’s not giving me enough space to run. So, we basically went around the course twice, but because of the rain, the ground was loose. So, we apparently had to go slower. That said, not sure how much faster though we’d actually go on a fully dry run. Personally, I would have enjoyed a little bit more speed, but maybe it’s fine enough for others. Wow, that was crazy. That was actually I thought it was going to be more adrenaline, but it was like a nice little course that you got to take. Like I’ve never like driven a buggy before. So that was a cool experience in itself. But I was expecting a little bit more of like whoa crazy. But it’s like at like the lead cars pace. So overall fun adventure, but it’s not like super like oh my god it’s going to like kill me or I’m going to go way too fast. So that was great. After the ride, I wanted to try out one of their food stalls. Always wanted to try a dinosaur egg curry bun. Curry pun. Got my curry pan. Okay, so I got this curry pon. Look at this. Bam. Dinosaur egg. It even has a little hole. Real eggs probably don’t have holes, but dinosaur eggs probably do. The crisp on this thing is a 10 out of 10. Thick and crispy, but then you get the nice moistness of the bread on the inside, which is really delicious. It has a mild curry taste in the middle. And it’s so so creamy with this egg yolk. Wow. 800 yen. About right for amusement park. I’m just so happy with the food here. Wolfie and Michael love this colorful mixed flavor popcorn so much they ended up getting a second one later in the day. Okay, so this next spot I’m going to take you to Breeze Arena. Apparently they got some waterworks here. So let’s go inside and see what it’s all about. [Music] So, the show started with a traditional Okinawan performance, quickly turning into an upbeat concert with a whole lot of water. I think it could be a super fun show if you’re okay to get wet, but if not, it’s hard to get into it all the way from the back. I definitely recommend preparing a change of clothes if you’re interested in this attraction. It is so hot right now. Let me just show you guys what’s inside of the gift shops. Feels a lot cooler in here. Just needed to get a breather from all of that heat. The shop itself is cute to begin with, kind of giving a tropical village market vibe, but most importantly, the products appear to be welldesigned. Michael was super impressed as she bought some of their stuff for herself. So, they have the t-shirts here as well. This one is like the buggy from the buggy course. Check this out. Dinosaur hat. So, what’s cool also is they even have like kind of themed areas. Like this one is a black and white section. Kind of has like a street Okinawa tribal mix kind of vibe going on. It was interesting that they had cool food items as well. Their theme snacks were pretty unique, fun enough to bring back home or even to the office as your omiyag souvenir. You can even get root beer here, cocoo coffee, and even taco meat. I have no idea what it looks like inside, but might be interesting to take back. Just in case you’re interested, you can access Spa Jungleia via shuttle bus just next to the main ticketing booth. It’s a perfect spot to relax after a full day at the park. [Music] Look at this. This is so huge. It’s massive. Overlooks all of this greenery. Amazing. Of course, it’s got a sauna, cold bath, and even natural onen hot springs. [Music] This is the panorama dining. Feel like we’ve been going through this whole entire place, doing all the rides and everything. It’s been kind of a a long day. So, time to get some dinner. So, the Panorama Dining is a park’s fine dining restaurant offering local Okinawan ingredients inspired by the world of dinosaurs. Reservations here are a must to guarantee your AC cooling. So, we got seats right here, but they actually have like these nested seats outside. So, before we sit down, just want to go check it out and show you guys the full deal. Look at all of these birds nest seats. Okay, so these are the seats right here. This is pretty awesome. You got this whole area from the restaurant’s Dinosaur Nest. You can oversee the entire park. Definitely, it’s a best dining view spot. I ordered the Yambaru Select course with a grilled motobu beef round. So, we’re starting off though with this tuna. That looks actually pretty cool. They even have sea grapes here. M. That is quite flavorful. They have kind of like a garlic, sesame, chili, pepper on top just to give it more flavor and a little bit of a crunch to give it some good texture. This is literally better than some restaurants that I’ve gone to in Tokyo. And then next, we got this vegetable style garden pasta with basil. Looks pretty dainty, but it has a lot of vegetables here. Despite these being noodles in Japan, you should not slurp them. Okay. So, that has like a mild tomato sauce. Very subtle. Has a very like calm and soothing taste. Nothing that will like light your mouth on fire, but still very delicious. Lots of vegetables in here, which I’m sure Michael appreciates. So, one thing that I really like, I’ve been enjoying is this Odon Clear Free. This right here been the savior of my trip. It hits like a real beer almost like as close as you can get. Quite refreshing, but you know, you don’t get the hangover in the morning. Look at this. This looks amazing. The beef, you got soy sauce. Look at this luscious piece right there. Came with this like looks like a oonie kind of, but it’s actually soy sauce like whipped up. Throw it on here like so. That is probably like the cream. Wo. We have a creamy creamy soy sauce on there. That is so delicious. And this beef thigh is just exquisite. Soft. It’s tender. It’s juicy. It’s on like the fattier side, so you can get like all of the oils. Every single bite just melts in your mouth. They got that perfect sear. Nice and like a crispy crispy outer edge, which I love. Yo, this sauce is the creamiest soy sauce I’ve ever had. The only problem is I wish I just had a little bit more meat. Of course, they got vegetables. They got okura. They got bitter gourd. They have grilled onions or some sort of root. What I’m going to do, dip it in the sauce as well. You can also choose other main dishes like the grilled herb chicken thigh or aquapa. They also had a vegan plate, but y’all know that’s not how I roll. And their course was finished off with their mango mango mango pudding which was a delightful surprise. I would say if you are trying to do like fine dining at an amusement park, I don’t know if you can get better than this. This one is pretty up there. Even Wii’s kids plate looks fire. Like he has like tender steak and for a kids plate. All right, so that was the full tour of Jungleia here in Okinawa. I hope you guys like this video. Like always, if you liked it, help me out and hit that like button if you want to help support the channel. Like I said, check out my hot sauce. Check it out online. Paulo from Tokyo sauce.com or you can get it in our vending machine. It is the most premium hot sauce you can get. It takes 6 years to age. One bottle takes 6 years to age. You won’t find nothing like it on the market. It is fire. And if you guys want to see more videos like this or anything related to Japan, hit that subscribe button and the bell button. And we’ll catch you guys in the next one.

  2. Been watching you for a long time now and your content continues to be interesting. Thank you for your contribution to the world of online entertainment!🐕‍🦺😛🐕‍🦺

  3. I heard this place is really disappointing, the attractions are subpar and the customer service is not too great. But hey I rather experience it myself, I’m going next weekend with the family!

EDIT: the google reviews is sitting at a whopping 2.2 stars with 248 reviews. Yikes.

  4. Well it looks kinda nice. I hate the whole plastic thing of theme parks. So loads of cooling trees seems like a great idea!
