Junglia Okinawa: FIRST LOOK at Japan’s NEW Jungle Theme Park! π³
Building a theme park in a jungle. Why not? I’m giving this weather zero, but I’m giving this chur a five. I am buying this. I am buying this 100%. This is coming home with me. And you have your little towel that you take in with you that you can cover yourself up. I want to go in. Oh, so cute. Bye. Okay, how do I get out of this? There’s a new theme park opening up here in Japan. And naturally, I have to go check it out. As you can see, I’m at the airport because this theme park is nowhere near Tokyo. No, it is down in Okinawa, which is Japan’s most southern prefecture. So, I’m here at Haneda Airport, Terminal 2, and we’re going to be flying down to Okinawa. The new park is called Jungalia, and it’s a nature immersive theme park in northern Okinawa’s world natural heritage site, Yambadu Forest. It sounds like a lot of fun. So, Jungalia invited us out to the park so we can show you everything that this park has to offer and from what I know, there’s going to be dinosaurs. Well, my flight leaves in a couple of hours, so I’m going to grab something to eat and then head through security and wait for the flight to Okinawa. The airline that I’m taking is Solola Seed, which is a regional airlines here in Japan. And they mainly go from Tokyo to the southern part of Japan called Kyushu, which also includes Okinawa. So, I’ve never flown them before. We’ll see how it goes. [Music] That was one of the most relaxing flights I’ve ever had. It was pretty quick. It was maybe 2 and 1 half hours. And I’ve never flown Solid before. Like I said, I would fly them again. There was nothing fancy. And we got some drinks. I had green tea, which was very lovely. Always a winner. Seats were fine. I mean, it wasn’t a brand new airplane or anything like that. I was secretly hoping to get the PokΓ©mon playing cuz I know they have one. I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but I know they had one at some point. I slept a little bit and I played my Steam Deck. I played Final Fantasy 9 for a little bit. And now we’re here at the airport just waiting for our bags and then we’re going to figure out how to get to the resort. To get to our hotel, you either have to drive or take the limousine bus. So, we opted to take the limousine bus, which is going to take about 2 hours and it’s 2,200 yen per person. Yeah, there’s not a lot of transportation options here in Okinawa, but you know, you make do with what with what you got. Here’s the bus. Oh, we made it. We made it to the hotel. Okay, it’s very pretty in here. Now, it’s time to check in. I do want to show you the room, but we are going to go over and get something to eat. The buffet has a huge variety of food. There’s a lot of Okinowan food. There’s, you know, western options as well. And of course, there’s desserts. I had to get the curry. I had to try the coobe curry that I saw there. And I did get some pork and some vegetables. Yum, yum, yum. Their ice cream bar is Blue Seal, which is from Okinawa. And of course, I had to try some of the unique flavors. And there’s also a drink bar. I ended up getting myself some detox water cuz I don’t know. Why not? It’s getting late. Let’s check out the room cuz then we got to go to bed for the park tomorrow. The hotel that we’re staying at is Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort and Spa. And the room was provided by the hotel, and it’s one of the official resorts for Jungleia Okinawa. There’s other hotels, but this is the one that uh we are staying at, and I cannot wait to show you. So, here’s the bathroom. So, we got a bath. Is there a shower? Oh, there is a shower in the corner. Okay, nice. Hello. The washlet. Yes, please. And then over here, big beds. Yes. Lot of space. There’s a lot of space in here. And we got a mini bar. Got a couch. And we even get to go outside somehow. Oo, she’s humid. And there’s a pool down there. Look at that. Look at that pool. Maybe do that tomorrow. I’m not going to have time tonight cuz we got to get ready for the park tomorrow. Good morning. Oh my goodness. Woke up to the most beautiful view from our room. You could see the ocean and the pool. Went downstairs, stuffed my face full of the buffet that was down there. I had tacos. There was also a burger and there was even a sauce that said American sauce. I don’t know what that is. I think it was just a thousand island dressing. We’re just getting ready to head to the park and I’m really excited. So today we’re taking a taxi, but if you’re staying at one of the official hotels like this one, there will be free shuttles to the park and it’s going to take us about I think half an hour I was told. So let’s get to the park. [Music] [Music] We made it to Jungleia. It is hot. It’s going to start raining, but doesn’t matter. I cannot wait to check out everything here. So, let’s head inside. Have our ticket ready and we’re going inside. Hi, Yay! Here we go. It just started raining, but that’s okay because it’s blistering hot. It’s like 30Β° outside right now. I honestly have no idea where to go. So, we’re just going to figure it out. Well, you know what we’re going to do first? Instead of doing an attraction, let’s go check out some of the merchandise just to get out of the rain and let it pass by. Sounds good. Sounds good. They have some cute stuff. I do love branded merchandise. Very subtle, too. Jungle. Some cute stuff. How much is the bag? I’ll find it later. Oh, look at the little dinosaurs. 2600 yen. Oh, it’s a little case. I can’t wait to do some of these. It’s going to be fun. Yellow. Oh, these are beautiful. So, these are made in Okinawa and these are a jungle original design. Well, that’s very pretty. I love this kind of stuff. Original design. You can sign me up. Oh, I love these kind of cups as well. 2,700 yen. Keeps your drink hot or cold for a long time. Dinosaur safari. We have some boxers. 1,800 yen. Different sizes. These are Oh, these are kids sizes. Okay. The other ones we saw earlier were the adult sizes. So, we got some towels. So, this is the one. Oh, look at these long cute little tins. Cute little pouches. Oh, it’s a a cooling towel. That’s what it is. And has a little pouch. Ah, that’s clever. So the pouch doesn’t get all soaked as well. 2,000 yen. That’s a smart idea. Oh, and these have a cooling effect. Yeah. Uh, how much are these? 2,000 y. And cute little hooded towels, too. Of course, there’s dinosaur ones kind of like that one. 3500 yen. I mean, you know, it’s not a video of mine without doing an extended portion of the merchandise. But just know there there is a lot as I as I keep mentioning. This whole store has so much stuff. But now it is time to head into the park. Here’s a look at the map. So, we came in right here. And here’s where the shops and stuff are. There’s some dining. We’re going to be check out some of the dining options. So, some attractions. So, we got the Buggy Voltage, the Breeze Arena where there’s a Junglia Splash Fest. Ooh, Yambaru and Friends. That’d be kind of fun. Finding dinosaurs. Dinosaur Safari. I’m looking forward to that. Ooh, Wild Banquet. That sounds nice. Horizon Balloon. And then we have some extreme stuff like Gravity Drop, Bungee Glider, Sky Phoenix, Human Arrow, Titan Swing. For these attractions, you have to do it through the app and get a ticket to it. The ticket’s free, but you need to do it to get for these attractions here. They don’t have a normal standby line. You have to do it through the app to basically get a virtual queue is essentially what it is for these ones here. So, I’m told they will run out quick and they they ran out for the day already for us. So, we probably won’t be doing these. So, if these interest you, you’re going to have to get here early. But these other attractions have regular standby lines. And also some of them have skip the line passes as well. Oh my goodness. I don’t know where to start. We got to start somewhere. I hope the rain goes away. Ooh, looks like there’s a nice Oh, panoramic view of the park over here. Okay, let’s go. Let’s go over there. Oh, look at the buggies down there. I can see buggies down there. Okay, well, I definitely want to do that. Nice. very lush. So, for today, just to set expectations, I’ve never been here before, so I’m going to do my best to provide you with useful information when you come to visit, but we’re just going to experience the park. And uh have a good time. I always just love coming to a new theme park. It’s always it’s always nice, isn’t it? I do hope the rain stops, though. I like that it’s cooling it off, but I just I want the rain to go away so I don’t have to hold my umbrella all day. Hey you, all grown in. Oh, Wild Banquet. Oh, that’s one of the restaurants. We’re definitely going to be going there later to eat, but we want to see the Splash Fest. It’s a show that’s starting right away and it’s somewhere over here. I mean, I’m having my own splash fest right now in the rain. We made it. Breeze Arena. Show just started. I’m a safe enough distance so they don’t hit me with water. I’m wet enough. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 1 2 3 1 2 jumper. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] That was a cute little show. If you want to get wet, you have to go a lot closer. And you know what? I’m fine with that. That’s where we came from earlier. So when you walk into the park, you’re going to walk onto that big platform and look this way and see the park. It’s just nice and lush and green and you know that’s what Okinawa is. And I love it. I just love greenery. But you know what time it is? It is time to eat. We’re going to eat, eat, eat, eat, eat. So we’re heading to the Wild Banquet. So this doesn’t require a reservation, which is good. So we’re going to head on in. So, you order your food there and then there’s dining areas all around. So, where all the colored like umbrellas and canopies are. There’s like tables and stuff. Okay. So, it’s outside. So, here’s a look at the menu. The wild pork kebab, the wild jungle chicken, the wild beef burger. You can see the prices here, too. The wild kids box. Chilled vegetable curry. Oh, that’s good. They have a veggie option. Wild grilled seafood. Okay, this actually looks pretty decent. Do I want chicken or beef? H not sure. However, you can see them uh make preparing the food. The guy was just there cutting the chicken. Oh, there’s even more on the back. There’s some corn. There’s some fried sweet potato with brown sugar sauce. Oh, the sauce is spelled incorrectly. And they have a shoe cream right here, which is really delicious. I always love shoe cream. Cookie ice cream sandwich. Oh, there’s a lot. Shark nuggets. H sausage. Tomato salad. Oh, it’s frozen. Ooh, the shikawasa lime slushie, guava slushie, crushed salty squash. Oo, yum. Okay, lot of options here. We found ourselves a spot. I honestly thought it was going to be indoors. This whole thing is outdoors, so it’s almost like a you order at the the counter there. There’s also another food like snack stand. I’ll show you that afterwards cuz there’s some different food there. And then you pick pick a spot. At least there’s shade and it stopped raining at least. So just kind of keep that in mind. It’s still pretty still pretty hot right now. However, however, that aside, we got pork kebabs. And maybe more importantly, I got Fanta, but not just any old Fanta. This is shikawasa Fanta. So this is an Okinawa thing. As I mentioned earlier in the video, shikawasa is from Okinawa. It kind of tastes like a lemon. Kind of tastes like a lime, but not really. It’s kind of in between. It’s really tasty. And I’m happy that there’s a Fanta version. Yeah. And it’s nice and carbonated, too. This is a five. Even though it’s just Fanta. The star of the show, though, is this pork kebab. And it smells delicious. When the woman served us our food, she gave us these packets. And you know, at far glance, you’re going to think, “Oh, that’s ketchup.” No, no, no, no, no. This is Sriracha chili sauce. Hot chili Thai sauce. And that makes me very happy because I love it so much. Ooh, we’re going to put this on. Oh, don’t worry. I’m not eating too. The other one is uh for my cameraman. He needs to eat as well. The table’s very wet, so I didn’t want to just put it on the table. Put some of the hot sauce on there. Yum. I do love it. I think it’s delicious. O. O. This is delicious. The bread nice and soft. The pork nice and tender and juicy. And I believe that’s basil sauce on there. Very lovely. Very flavorful. We have some onions on the top. And we got some, you know, some lettuce and stuff to give it some color. And the the Sriracha sauce just brings it all together. This is really good. And there’s onions on here, too. There’s a lot of flavor. I’m very impressed. M. I can feel the heat now. Ooh, it’s a good It’s a good burn. M. Honestly, when it comes to food in theme parks, like I I have, you know, kind of high standards. This is delicious. This is And like I’m not just saying that. Like, this is really good. I’m giving this whole thing a five. And, you know, I don’t give those out easily. The pork is great, the Sriracha sauce, the bread, everything is just delicious. I kind of want to try everything else on the menu. The fact that you get to see them cutting up the meat and everything there, you know, you know it’s going to be fresh and good. Yeah. I just wish we were indoors where there’s AC. Oh, while we were eating, some people came out to play in the back. Check it out. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Thank you. [Music] Boom. Oh, [Music] [Music] that was a nice little surprise. I was not expecting that. Thankfully, the rain stopped, so they’re able to perform. It’s starting to rain again. We can’t win with this rain. So, we’re heading on over to Dinosaur Safari. I have no idea what to expect for that. So, this one, there is a standby line, and I just checked. It’s a 10-minute wait, but Jungleia provided us with the the premium pass, which is a skip the line pass, so that’s what we’re going to be using. I need to get out of this room. Here it is. Dinosaur Safari. And oh my goodness, it is pouring. Okay, never mind. It turns out it’s 100 minutes in the standby line, but we’re doing the premium pass line. So, ju just a slight correction there cuz we are here during pre-open. So, I’m sure there’s still some, you know, things to need to work out. But the sign up front said it was 100 minutes. Honestly, I no idea what this is. So, I guess we’ll find out. I do know though, we’re not allowed to film inside, so I’ll have to tell you about it afterwards. We’re just waiting to go in. Honestly, no idea what to expect. My shoes are soaked. That’s all I know. But I love the the outfits. Yeah, they look like they’re, you know, I guess army or something. Yeah. [Laughter] [Music] What was that? I was not expecting that. As you can see, I am completely drenched. That was a lot of fun. So, you get into a like a real vehicle. They drive you through a course on a real vehicle. And we got in the back and then we started driving and we saw dinosaurs. And I can’t believe I am saying this. A dinosaur peed on me. I’m I’m not even joking. You know, some stuff happens. Things don’t go as planned. And the ending actually kind of scared me. And this was all outside, by the way. All outside. This is why I’m drenched. We were in the back of the jeep or whatever you want to call it, going through the water, the mud, holding on for dear life and drenched. And it was just that was a good time. Yeah, that that was a lot of fun. I’m just I’m honestly I’m soaked. I am completely soaked. Am I overselling it? Maybe. But it was a lot. I had fun because I went into this with zero. Zero. I had no idea what this was. Pleasantly surprised. Squish. Squish. Squish. Now we’re going to walk and try and dry off. Next, we’re going to head on over to Spa Jungleia because yes, they have a spa that we get to go and check out. Now, just to keep in mind that it is a separate ticket, so it’s not included with your park admission. You have to make a different purchase, just so you know. So, the park entrance is right there. And then when you want to go to the spa, just come to this sign where it says Spa Jungleia Transport. It’s just over there, but you don’t want to walk. You want to take the transport that they provide. And here is the timet. So, it seems it looks like it leaves uh it depends on the hour, about every 10, 15 minutesish roughly. Yeah, the first one’s at 11:00. Here comes the boss. That’s a pretty wrap. Oh, yeah. And it’s a Guinness World Record holder. Officially certified as the largest infinity public bath. So, the bus ride took about 5 minutes and here we are. Looks very lush. Head inside. Oh, this is pretty. Got to take off your shoes. [Music] I’m excited to look at the spa. Now, we don’t get to go into it like bathe. We just get to look inside today. So, I definitely have to come back and do it. I can tell you that right now because I love like onsen sento public baths. I love them so much. They’re just so relaxing. So, of course, going through the men’s side, there’s men and women. Now, just so you know, it’s not open to to the public yet. So, we are allowed to film in these areas. Typically, we don’t film because you got to get completely naked. We’re not doing that today, but we are going to show you the facilities. So, let’s go. Very peaceful, very serene, right? So, where you grab your towels. So, you have the towel to dry yourself and then you have your little towel that you take in with you that you can cover yourself up. Oo, it’s over here. Okay, the baths are over there. But, we’re just looking here really quickly. So, once you’re done bathing and everything, you can come here and just like touch up your hair. They usually have like different little amenities and stuff like that. So, face lotion, all that fun stuff. Over here is the changing room. So, there’s a lot of space to change. So, this is where you will take off all your clothes and be in your birthday suit when you go into the spa. Now, a thing about tattoos. I’m sure you’ve heard about these public baths not allowing people with tattoos and whatnot. Don’t you worry if you do have tattoos. Ask at the front and they’ll give you patches to cover up your tattoos. So, we’re good. Let’s head inside over here. Now, typically this is where you’ll be completely naked with your little towel, but we’re not doing that today. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Now I know what you may be thinking. Chris, how is this a Guinness World Record holder? So we asked it includes the other side as well. So the women’s side. So both of those together, that’s how you get the Guinness World Record. And we’re told the best time to come is just before sunset. So you can watch the sunset and it’s absolutely gorgeous cuz this is open in the evening. And I love coming to the public mats in the evening. It’s just especially when there’s outdoors. It’s just it’s very lovely. You don’t have to worry about the sun. You don’t have to worry about sunscreen, all that stuff. And look at this view. Like come on. I want to go in. Okay, as much as I want to go in, we have to go back to the park because there’s still so much to do. So, let’s go. There’s a beautiful view when you come downstairs. You can enjoy some soft drinks and whatnot, but look at this view. Look at it. Very lush, very green. Ooh. All right. All right, now we’re heading back to the park. Got to go. I want to go on the hot air balloon, but it’s not running right now because of the weather. But that is huge. I hope we get to go on at some point cuz I want to do that. We’re going to head on over to the other side of the park and see what we can uh see what we can see. So, we’re at the like the main platform and those nests there, you can sit there. That’s one of the restaurants and you get a gorgeous view. when it’s not raining, you know. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. So cute. [Music] There’s a lot of food stands around. So, there’s this little food stand here with a beef sandwich and there’s a fish sandwich and a soda, but we’re not getting that. We’re going right here, which is We got some shikobbasa ice and then also a guava mona ice cream. We’re going to get that and try them out. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. So, we bought both of them and the bird is behind us. Junkun, I think that was his name. Anyway, we got the guava ice cream Mona sandwich and the packaging very nice. Says Jungalia on there. And Mona is a wafer. Very common in Japan to put ice cream in it so it doesn’t get your fingers all dirty when it starts to melt. You can see the guava in there. Lovely. [Music] That’s definitely guava. It’s very fruity. I think it has guava like jam on the bottom too. It’s cold. It’s actually quite sweet. But I guess guava is sweet in itself, right? That was the tram going by. If you’re a guava fan, you’re going to absolutely love this. I’m not too fond of guava. Like I like I like guava, but it’s not something I would seek out. I guess it is nice and sweet. It is very refreshing. Very guava forward. And I do like the mona on there. I’m going to give this a three. It’s a three. Here we have the shikawasa lime slushie. It’s melted a little bit because it’s very humid, but when they give it to you, it’s frozen solid. Oh, and it feels so good. Shikawasa. They have shikawasa flavor everything around here and I love it. [Music] Oh. Oh, that packs a punch. That is incredibly sour and I love that. Oh yes. Oh yes. Not overly sweet. Nice and tart and sour and freezing. I’m going to give this four and a half. I love it. It’s great. So, this is the Jungle Extremes area. And today, I don’t think these things opened at all just because of the weather, but there’s a ziplining one that you can see. And there’s a swing right over there. And there’s like a walking bridge course over there. I think the bridge walking would be fun. The swing, uh, not sure. The zipline would be fun, too. But you know, weather, that’s just how it goes. And here is the Horizon balloon. Darn you, weather. I want to go up in this balloon. I love a good hot air balloon. Can you see that way in the distance? That’s from the dinosaur safari. Oo, we got more food. This is right outside the dinosaur safari. So, there’s a spare rib and a frozen pineapple. You know what? Let’s try the wild spare rib. So, I got the spare rib. 750N. It’s a little smaller than I thought it was going to be for 750N, but hopefully it tastes good. We’ll see. It’s fine. It could use more sauce. I think there’s not enough sauce and there’s not enough seasoning on it, but the rib is nice and tender. I’ll give them that. But yeah, overall the sandwich we had earlier miles better than this. I’m going to give this a two. Yeah, for the price, you don’t get a lot. There’s just not a lot of seasoning on this. It’s quite bland. But the rib is cooked quite nice. Just needs more flavor. Okay. There’s whole noodles and the tropical snow ice, but I want to try the churro. That’s what I want to try. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I’m excited to try this. So this is the shikawasa churro and the lovely woman at the snack stand told me. So in the middle you’re going to see it’s little brown and it’s called kokto which is a okinowan brown sugar that they’re really known for and then on the outside they spray it with like a shikawasa spray to give it that scent. You can definitely smell it. It’s very interesting. And then they make it with a like a a mochi kind of flour to make it kind of like squishy. So this isn’t a traditional churro by any stretch of the imagination. And it’s actually kind of squishy, just a little bit. And we got some sugar on there, too. And the packaging is very on point. A lot of shikawas stuff, and I’m not complaining. Okay, that is really good. [Music] It’s nice and chewy and the brown sugar inside of it. The coto is nice. It’s not super sweet and it has like a nice brown sugar flavor and I love brown sugar. And the shikabasa has a little it’s a little subtle but it is there. It g it’s it gives it a nice citrus flavor. Kind of a fresh flavor and it’s warm too. This is really good. Oh my goodness. It is pouring rain. I’m giving this weather zero, but I’m giving this churro a five. Oh my goodness. This is so good. No, I’m Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. This makes me so happy. Oh my goodness. This This weather is is not It’s not It’s not wonderful. No, it really isn’t. But you can’t control mother nature. That is no one’s fault. But we are coming back tomorrow. Don’t you worry. I still got more to show you. However, we’re going to head on over to the spa that you saw earlier and uh actually enjoy it. Yeah, I’m going to go in and soak and then dry myself off and I’ll give you my thoughts on the spa after we use it. That was super relaxing. I love the infinity spa. That was great. I sat there for probably a good hour or something like that. It’s gorgeous in here and incredibly relaxing. So, I would say if you’re doing jungle Okinawa, then you know, maybe come and take a break over here and then you can, you know, rejuvenate and then head back to your hotel or resort or anything like that. But don’t go anywhere. We still have day two to go. So, let’s do it. We’re back for the second day and the weather is cooperating a lot better. Hopefully, we get to do this today. So, let’s check out more of Jungleia. I I love this view. Seriously, building a theme park in a jungle. Why not? So, heading on over to the buggy attraction first. The uh dinosaur safari is already at a 50-minute wait. The park just opened. So, like there there’s a mixture of media people like myself and uh I think people that were able to buy like pre-open tickets like regular guests. So, yeah, everything’s running seemingly normally. So, here’s a buggy voltage. So, there’s different courses. So, there’s the fun adventure and their adrenal adrenaline challenge. Fun adventure, you know, probably for the younger ones and you can do it in a pair or single. And then the adrenaline challenge is for a pair. This looks fun. Let’s get in line. We are doing the adrenaline challenge. And yeah, we ride actual buggies. Look at that. I don’t know what to expect. Okay. Well, we can’t film in this, so I’ll talk about it once we’re done. This is silly. I’m literally driving. And it Oh my god. Adrenaline challenge. Here we go. Did it. That was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Honestly, we picked the adrenaline course. So, there’s three, as I mentioned. the the fun one with just a single you just do like a little lap in the the the area there, but the other ones you actually go through two there’s two different courses. So, we did the adrenaline one and you go through twice. First a little like a slower speed and then the next time you go around you get to kick it up a notch and uh it’s a lot of fun and you can actually see it from the top when you walk into the park. If you look over the valley, you’ll see the course from there. And they take video and stuff that you can purchase as well. I had fun on that. I would do that again. Um, I’ve done off-roading before, like in real life. I haven’t done it for like well over a decade now, but being able to do it here, I thought that was that was cool. That was great. Since the weather is cooperating a lot more today, we’re going to Jungle Extremes. And the first thing is I think the the walkway thing which is over there. So this is the treetop trekking is what we’re going to be doing. Can’t film on this either. So I’ll see you on the other side. They’re weighing us. Okay. Okay. Putting our stuff in a locker and getting in harnesses. Can’t take this with us. Oh boy. Here we go. That’s the swing. We’re not doing that. We’re going way over there. That’s where we’re going. Okay. Oh, seriously? I don’t like Oh, I don’t like this. [Laughter] This is scary. This is actually scary. Oh, well, that was absolutely terrifying. There was a couple parts in there where I wasn’t sure if my feet were going to touch the platforms and everything. Oh, my heart is just is beating and I’m drenched in sweat. I’m going to have to reapply my sunscreen. My hair is a mess, but I feel good. I am glad we got to do that. So, for these attractions in this area, you do have to do the timed entry ticket that you get through the app. And you can’t just like get them one after the other. you have to wait a certain amount of time. So, we were only able to get uh the one for this rope one. There’s also a a swing one, which we we didn’t end up doing. But now it is time for I think we’re going to go find some dinosaurs. Here it is. Finding dinosaurs. I like the signage. It’s actually quite cute. So, for this one, the park did provide us with a premier pass, so we get to skip the line, but the wait time, standby way time is 50 minutes. And we can record on this. Wearing another helmet. There’s no point in having good hair today, like at all. No, no, no. I don’t know what to expect. We’ll find out. [Music] of the jungle. Oh, it’s a butterfly. [Music] Oh. Get my head already. [Music] Oh, yeah. I’m sorry. Bye. Got to go. Got to go. Got to go. That was cute. [Applause] Bye. This is fun and relaxing. We just had to go on those little trains and power it by pushing up and down. [Music] That was really cute. I see why you had to wear the helmets uh where we couldn’t film. I hit my head a lot cuz we went inside a cave. I’m not going to spoil the ending, but it was incredibly cute. So, if you have kids with you, the little explorers that love dinosaurs, this one is definitely it. The other one that we did yesterday is quite intense and maybe scary for little explorers. I like that one better than this one, but this one is like good for families and you walk around. Gains a good exercise. But now we get to ride a dinosaur. Oh, that’s so cute. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Oh my goodness. Hello. [Music] I have to ride in the back. Oh my goodness. So cute. Bye. Okay, how do I get out of this? So, this the sticker that we got at the end of the attraction, and it matches the snack stand. And there is a curry bun that I want to try. Nicer egg curry bun. Oh, that drink looks good, too. So, I got the sunrise drink. And it certainly does look like the sunrise. And he told me to mix it up. And it looks like there’s some sort of ice mixed with fruit on the top. It’s not alcoholic. For 500 yen, it’s not going to be alcoholic. pineapple. I think mango, passion fruit, I would say. It’s fairly standard. I would say, but it’s nice and refreshing. There’s little bits of pineapple inside. Not overly sweet, little tart, refreshing. I’m going to give this a three. [Music] This is the dinosaur curry egg. And I love the packaging. And the packaging is cute. And it’s it’s it’s quite tough. Like it this is basically curry curry bread that you can get anywhere. So let’s see how different it tastes compared to regular curry bread. There’s egg in this. There’s an egg yolk. I wasn’t expecting that. [Music] That’s actually pretty fun. I wasn’t expecting egg in there. Egg is not typically in curry bread. So, they they took the themeing a step further. The outside is nice and crunchy, and the breading is nice and squishy on the inside, which is nice. The curry bread kind of is overtaken by the egg yolk, but I’m not mad at that. And it’s not spicy. Curry bread, like curry pan, is not typically too spicy. Kind of berries and level. This is like on the milder side. So, I think this is excellent. I love the egg in this. I’m going to give this a four. This is a solid snack. Eat a dinosaur egg. So, we’re up top here near the entrance, you know, with the panoramic view. So, there’s a restaurant panorama dining that we are going to dine at. So, I had to join the waiting list. There’s a QR code that you scan at the front and just fill out the information in English and then you just wait. So, we’re waiting for it right now. Oh, this is really cute. This is the map of the park. And so these are Oh, it’s the brown sugar that Okinawa is famous for. Brown sugar, chocolate, and it has um pineapple juice in it. I kind of like the little reusable bag. That’s really nice. I love that they have a theme to the attractions, too. Buggy Voltage. Yeah, it’s a cake. Black tire cake. Where’s the Oh, there’s no display showing what it looks like. That’s so fun, though. Soda cream sand. Ma sand. 1,600 yen. Oo, potato chips. Okinawa long pepper and shikawasa taste. That sounds lovely, actually. I love anything shikawasa. Oh, and we have some rice crackers. Are these rice crackers? The packaging is really cute. Oh, yeah. No, they are crackers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Crackers with shrimp. Flatten shrimp in them. Oh, some grand opening with these some cookies. I can’t read the one there. Oh, I think that’s a sweet potato. Yeah, sweet potato. Buggy voltage. That is really fun. Little caramels. Salted caramels. We got the little buggy on there. So, you know how yesterday we saw the bird Jan? I didn’t realize they had merchandise for him or her. I’m not sure their pronouns, but them. Jan, look. Oh, the cute puppet. Oh, we love a mascot. That’s so cute. Kind of love the towel. How much is the towel? I will use a towel. 1,000 yen for the towel. A shei. There’s even a t-shirt. It’s very soft. How much is the t-shirt? 3,900 yen. Are there adult sizes? I kind of love the t-shirt. I don’t need another t-shirt, but I like the idea. Oh, they have a pin. 500 yen. It’s a small pin, but that’s still fun that they have one. Oh, keychains. Say jungle. Okay, I’ll take it. There’s a lot there. There’s a lot of merchandise. Oh, I even found more pins. That’s the entrance. That’s the hot air balloon. That has the the buggies. And that’s a T-Rex. I’m glad I found pins. I didn’t see them right away. I was scared they didn’t have any, but they do. Ooh, salt rice crackers, brown sugar, popcorn mix. Sounds delicious, actually. 1,600 yen. Root beer. Oh, that sounds really nice. Oh, and put in the cup and then stir it. 1,800 yen taco meat. 1,300 yen for taco meat. There’s two pouches in there. Hot sauce included. Pork curry. Ah, beef stew 1,500 yen. Pork 1,200 yen. Ooh, fruit sauce 900 yen. Where’s a steak sauce? 100 yen. Ooh, and some coffee. Man, they have a lot of great stuff. 1,600 yen for five bags. Ooh. Okinow peanut pudding. Ooh, yum. I love this stuff. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I kind of want that. 1,500 yen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The theming in the store is quite nice. It just like it just fits Okinawa so well, I think. All right, our time is up, so we’re going in. Panorama dining. We got to go down. [Music] Oh, it’s nice and cool in here. Here’s a look at the menu. Ooh, the chicken looks nice. Hamburger, steak, fish of the day, the dinosaur egg, volcanic beef pie. Oh, they have vegan options. That’s nice. There’s a nice selection here. There’s even some pasta. And on the back, they have the panorama mocktail sunset in the jungle. And then they have Yeah. the usual suspects. Coke Coke Zero wines and whisies and stuff. Yeah. Need to decide what to get. We sat down. We ordered and our food is coming very slowly. But first, I got the panorama mocktail. And look how pretty that is. You can get an alcoholic version as well, but I opted not to do that. And we got here just in time. The wind is horrible outside right now, and it’s starting to rain pretty heavily, so good timing on my part. How do I drink this? It’s very pretty. [Music] Ooh, cherry is nice. Oh, that is lovely. A lot of tropical fruits in here. Little sweet and a little sour as well. This is nice. I’m going to give this a four. So, I got the chicken set, right? So, it comes with rice and also a salad. And the salad here is a mango and pineapple dressing with raspberries on the top. Like a raspberry crumble kind of thing. Very tropical, very fresh smelling. [Music] Nice, simple, fresh. Love all the tropical fruits. You can taste the raspberry and the mango and the pineapple. It’s a really nice fresh salad. Of course, we have to try the rice. [Music] And then we have a Okinawan soup. I don’t think I’ve ever had this before. Don’t know what to expect, but we’ll give it a try. It’s not too salty. I thought it was going to be salty, but it’s not. Like just just a little bit. I can’t explain the flavor, but it’s good. It’s a very mild soup. Let’s just put it that way. Nice and mild. My main here is the tandoori chicken with herb. And it’s also wrapped in a leaf. And we got some lemon to squeeze on top of that. Ooh, and there’s some pineapple on there, too. [Music] M. [Music] The chicken is nice and tender and the tandoori is not overpowering. You know, tandoori chicken can be very overbearing sometimes with like the spices and stuff. Here, it’s more of a like a hint of it. And there’s a little bit of spice. And I love the lemon on top. Squeezing the lemon and the pineapple. It just tastes fresh. This whole thing just tastes so nice and fresh. I am incredibly impressed. I’m going to give this whole like this meal that I’m having this set. I’m going to give this a four and a half. A good four and a half, I think. Yeah. Really good. But there’s one more thing that’s coming that I want to show you. It’s fun. Power. How are you supposed to eat a mountain or a volcano? I guess you just cut it. Oh, okay. There we go. There’s the stew. And it smells smokeoky still, which I think is kind of fun. Oh, there’s like some veggies in there. Okay. Get some meat and some potatoes and some veggies. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] The stew is a little basic, but the beef inside is nice and tender, and there’s some veggies in there, and it’s very smoky. Has a like nice smoky flavor, which I really enjoy. The novelty is quite great. The presentation is really good. I’m going to give this [Music] a three and a half. This a three and a half. Yeah, three for flavor and then the extra point for the novelty. I thought the presentation was topnotch. My cameraman wanted the vegan plate, so we got it. And look at the presentation. Very colorful. Lot of vegetables on there. That looks really tasty. Delicious. Well, he’s going to try it and I’m going to finish the rest of my food and he’s going to tell me what his rating is when he’s when he’s done. Cameraman finished it and he said it was quite filling and he gives it a three and a half. He ate the whole thing. I really like this coaster. That’s such a pretty design. So, you can sit outside in these nests if you want. It’s an extra charge, but you get a beautiful view of all the jungle and jungle. Of course, you’d want to do it when the weather is nice. Thankfully, the rain had stopped, so it actually would be perfect to sit out here in a nest and nest and eat and just enjoy the view here. I just love how lush and green it is. Such a good idea. Very unique. Oh, popcorn. Of course, we have to have popcorn. And they have popcorn buckets. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Look at the cute popcorn buckets. It’s Jan. Oh, that’s so cute. I love it. I love it. We have to try the popcorn. Yum. Look at this. Is very colorful. So, there’s a lot of flavors in here. So, green is the matcha. Blue is the blueberry. Then we got strawberry. and then caramel and chocolate. And then the white has Okinowan salt. I just love how much Okinawan food they are using in everything. I think that’s just brilliant. And this is just very picturesque. I love it. Let’s give it a try. First one I drop caramel. M. The blueberry is very blueberry. Strawberry is a little subtle. The matcha is topnotch. I’m excited for the Okinawa salt. [Music] So, it tastes like regular salt for the most part, but just like a little bit saltier. This is a nice varied flavor profile of popcorn. I quite I like it. I like the all the different flavors. If they were by themselves, I might have been too much. I just like the variety. You got your sweet, you got your savory, you got your salty. I would get this every time I visit. Honestly, this a five. I’m giving this one a five. Yeah, overall I had a great time here at Jungle Lea. Despite the weather, the weather has not been in our favor. Didn’t get to ride the balloon. I will just have to come back next time to do it. I mean, it’s a reason to come back, right? So, you’re probably thinking, Chris, is it worth coming to Jungleia Okinawa? Well, if you’re coming to Okinawa, there’s tons to do in Okinawa. You can add on Jungleia, add on a day and come and spend chasing dinosaurs, going on buggies, having delicious popcorn, trying all the food, and there is some shows as well. We didn’t get to see all the shows either. So, it may sound like there’s not a lot to do, but there actually there there is. And you can go to the spa as well. The spa, wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. You need to do the spa. Yes, 100% do the spa. As for tips, okay, so the dinosaur safari from what I can tell is the most popular. So when we were here, there was all like of course media people, but then there’s also regular guests were here, too. So the wait times look like it’s kind of going to be indicative as to how it’s actually going to go. I think a lot of people are going to go for the dinosaur safari. So if you want to do that, do that first. Or if you want to splurge a little bit, you can get the premium pass as well. You can buy that ahead of time. As for the extreme stuff, you know, like the zipline and the walking thing that we did, that was terrifying. You have to do it through the app. So, it’s a time ticket that you have to do. So, they go pretty quickly. So, if you’re here early enough in the day, like as soon as the park opens, that’s your best chance to pick a time slot for one of those. But the other attractions like the dinosaur safari, the buggies, and also the finding the dinosaur, really cute. Those have standby lines that you can wait in. I really like the buggies. That was like a surprise to me. I actually driving and everything. A lot of fun. I think they did a really good job with a lot of the food here. There was some really great stuff and there were some not so great stuff as well. But just so you know, there are two restaurants. The one that we ate at not that long ago where you have to make a reservation when you’re in the park. Then there’s the one that’s outside that’s more of like a food court thing. And then they have food around the park. Now, one thing to note, water, water, water, water. I didn’t see any water fountains, but they have a lot of vending machines that sell water. So, keep that in mind. If you’re coming here, make sure you bring a bottle of water, like a big bottle of water, so you can stay nice and hydrated, especially if you’re here during the hotter summer months. Yeah, I think this is a great addition to Okinawa. So, if you are in the Okinawa area, you’re planning a trip down here for a vacation cuz you know this is a this is a vacation spot for a lot of people, make Jungleia part of your itinerary. And then, of course, head on over to the spa afterwards. We took a 2-hour highway bus ride from our hotel back to the Nahhata airport. But I want to share with you merchandise that I bought because, of course, I had to buy merchandise, right? There was like no way I was going to leave without buying something. But most, you know, I had to get the clear file. I had to get the clear file. It says grand opening on it. And I didn’t realize there’s two. It’s a set. I didn’t see that last time. So, of course, I had to get that. And I got a couple of other things, too. Cute little bag. I didn’t buy the big tote bag thing cuz, you know, I don’t really need that. I got the little hand towel. Look at Jen. Had to get that. I always use hand towels. I kind of go through them a little quickly or I lose them. Got the little pin. Look at that. Jungalia. Then I actually I had something similar last night at the hotel and then when I saw Jungalia had it, I knew I had to get it. So this is Okinawa Peanuts pudding chocolate flavor. Really, really good. And I don’t know, it looked good. So I thought, you know what? I’ll treat myself and I’ll buy it for myself. So now we’re just here getting ready for our flight back to Tokyo. So you Yeah, when you’re staying at like the resorts and stuff, it’s further north. So you’re either going to have to drive if you’re able to or you’re going to have to rely on getting the the highway buses, which do take some time. So you have to factor that in. All right, I had a lot of fun and thank you so much for watching. See you in the next one. Bye. Oh my goodness, we got the PokΓ©mon flame. Hi. What a pleasant surprise. We got the Pokemon plane after all. Oh, I’m so excited. [Music] Oh, I love it. [Music] Okay. Okay.

I would love to go here! Thank you for sharingn
Okinawa here I come.
Thanks for showcasing this new & interesting attraction.
I had to pause reverse 10 seconds and replay, when Chris said the churro was a five out of five! lol fingers snap in ears to make sure they were working. Like Chris and his clear files. Iβm all about the glow cubes and little glow keychains from the parks. I was a popcorn bucket collector, but that grew big too fast. So I downsized lol. This park looks so cute. I love it.
Shikuwasa is actually known as calamansi in other parts of the world, a citrus fruit.
Amazing video TDRexplorer been a subscriber since 2017 to 2025
