Osaka Japan’s Shopping District Tour!
So, this is where I am right now. I can’t tell you how much I love life. Life is so wonderful. I am so so happy that none of my suicide attempts worked. I was so sad in the moment, but I’m literally living my dream right now. It’s just amazing. All right, it seems like everything’s under construction, though. So, getting over to this area is a nightmare. So, I’m going to have to go through this building, come out over here, cross down there. That’s all right. That’s all right. It’s a good day. It’s a good day. All right, let’s continue. All right. So, we are in this indoor outdoor shopping area. Very nice. Um I really enjoy this um aesthetic of Osaka. So, let’s go in here and make our way towards that uh video game shop. [Music] Oh, I forgot about this song. I love this song. [Music] All right, I think we need to go that way, but we’ll go down one more of these streets first. Big echo karaoke. So, in Japan, when you do karaoke or karaoke, you uh you can rent your own like private room. So, you can have a party with like just your friends. You don’t need to worry about everybody in the bar listening, which is pretty cool. Oh, [Music] big tuna. [Music] What do you guys think of this kind of shopping area? Is this something that you’re into? I am coming back here at some point during uh my stay because um at night time you see all these places all the karaoke places. Well, they all finish um like when when uh when Last Call happens, you see people that are so drunk that they just pass out like straight up on the streets and stuff like that. And I want to do Oh my sorry. I want to do some photography of that cuz I think it’s a very I think it’s very powerful to see people in that in that state. At least for me. I like to take photographs of that kind of stuff because it uh it it it really just how do I explain it? I could have been there, you know? That’s something actually, you know what, passing out on the street, that’s something that I did do. So, I find I find something very poetic about it. All right. Japan, you have to wait for about 38 days for this thing to finish. It’s all over Japan. It’s not just in Tokyo. It takes a good 2 minutes for it to switch, which is absurd. All right, I’ll uh Oh, I guess we can get walking soon. Look how long this takes. There we go. Okay. So, I think I know where I’m going. I think it’s just down the street here. Uh, and to the left. How many times have I been in Osaka now? I think this is my fourth time here. Fourth or fifth time? I came once during my first day. I’ve been here twice. Yeah, it’s my fourth time. I like it here. I don’t know if I could live in Osaka, though. I think Osaka is just a little too uh hectic. It’s not as busy as uh Tokyo, but it’s more hectic. If that’s if that makes any sense. [Music] I wanted to stay at the men’s spa um because they’re relatively cheap and uh it’s a really nice hotel, but I couldn’t get a room there. They were all sold out, unfortunately. I’m pretty sure this is the right way to go. As a matter of fact, I’m almost certain it is. Good lord. I’m going to have to change my shirt already. It’s only been about an hour and I’m already covered in sweat. Check out this cool building. [Music] Pretty cool. That burger was really good. [Music] Really good. Yeah. The men’s spa is right over here. So, we are on the right track. We are on the right track. [Music] Yes. See where it says New Capsule Men’s Spa right over here? The store is right beside it. So, this is the very first place I stayed when I uh when I left Tokyo for the first time. I came here and uh I really thought that you know when I left here I thought this is going to be the last time I’m here and within 2 months I came back. Oh, they don’t have the sign of the very happy man outside anymore. They used to have a sign with a very happy man. Okay, so that store that I like I believe is right here. Yes, it is. Okay. All right, everyone. It looks like it uh it looks like it got a new sign, though. I might be wrong, but it looks a little different from the last time I was here. So, let’s go up. Let’s uh check out the toys in the video games. This place has stairs that are so easy to fall down. Okay. Is the big mammoth here? Yes, it is. Check it out. [Music] Check it out. Look at how cool that is. Very cool. Very cool. Amazing detail. All right, I’m going to take a look at the manga real quick because they have um they have old Nintendo um they have old Nintendo manga and they have old Nintendo guides for like Famcom games. So, I’m going to take a look at that and then we’ll go upstairs and look at the video games. All right, everyone. Let me show you some of the games they got here. This is the rare game cab. Oh, sorry. This is the rare game cabinet. I picked up this uh $2. That’s an amazing price for a box 64 game. Yeah, they’ve got uh got some pretty cool rare stuff in here. They’ve got Hitler Noaku here, which is a game that I’d really like to get, but it’s way too expensive. Very cool. What’s the most expensive game in this? This one’s This one’s 880 for the Game Boy. 880. Anything more than 880? Anything more than 880? I am not seeing that. Here’s Sega. Pretty cool stuff. Very cool stuff. So, if we go down here, you got tons of Switch stuff. There’s a bunch of Famicom stuff here. Here there’s box Super Nintendo. I think they even have Virtual Boy games here. Oh, here’s some bat box Famicom. That’s cool. Is this Dragon Spirit? Yeah. 44 bucks though. Way too expensive. Oh yeah, here. Check this out. Virtual Boy games. Very cool. What are these? Neo Geo. Good lord. Yeah, check out these cabinets. [Music] Oh, they have a collection of all four of the mini Game Gears that came out. That’s pretty cool. [Music] All right, let’s go see Switch. Oh, I see some N64 games in here. What N64 games do we have down here? I don’t know what any of those are. Shoot. [Music] Here’s GameCube, PS4. They’ve got collector’s editions. Very cool. I’m going to take a look around here and see if I can find anything. I’ll get back to you. Hey, so I just realized that my camera’s at 15% battery. So, that’s not good at all. Um, either way, there’s some more stuff here. This PlayStation 2 stuff, uh, PSP, Nintendo DS, lots of stuff. But, if my camera’s going to die, I do want to show you uh the spawn section and I want to show you the card section. So, let’s take a look at the cards here and then we’ll go look at the spawn stuff. All right. So, check this stuff out. Very cool stuff. [Music] First edition stuff. Very cool. [Music] Oh, they have common rider. [Music] Very cool. I’m really getting into common rider since I’ve been here. These are strange looking Pokemon cards. Oh, the stickers. [Music] Ultra Man. Very cool. Dragon Ball Z. What’s on the other side of this? I’m really digging those uh Magnetons. I have a PSA 10 versions of that card right there. Oh, I love the uh Mr. Mime. Love it. Oh, I love that ditto, too. All right, over here we got Yu-Gi-Oh. Not too sure what this stuff is. Oh, here’s some Magic the Gathering stuff. You don’t see much Magic the Gathering stuff here in uh Japan. Trust me, I’ve been looking. I love Magic the Gathering. It’s one of my favorite games of all time. All right, so that’s about it for the cards. But if we go over here, where is it? One of these shelves has spawn stuff on it. Is it this shelf? We’ll find it. Where’s the spawn stuff at, my friend? Um, here it is. Very cool stuff. My friend Tavis, Tavis, if you’re watching this, you’re the man. Uh, actually got me that figure that I was looking for for so long. So, buddy, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I can’t say that enough. This is a really cool figure here. Oh, don’t want to drop that. But check this out. That’s a pretty cool spawn figure. Nightmare Spawn. Which one is this? Like medieval spawn. Raven spawn. Look at this spawn. Very cool. All right, my friends. I’m going to get out of here and uh I’m going to head back to uh my hotel. When I get back, I will give you a tour of the hotel room and then I am going to bed. I don’t even care that it’s 4:30 in the afternoon. I am freaking exhausted. And I didn’t uh I didn’t feel well earlier at all. And I’m feeling a little better now, but still I I’m I’m not feeling it. I’m not feeling it. I’m not feeling well. Not having it. Uh so I’m going to bed. I’m very tired. I think you know what? You know what I think it is? I think it’s probably the sun. I think the sun has just done a number on me. Um yeah, I don’t do well in the sun. Are these micro machines? Check this out. Star Wars micro machines. I played with these big time when I was a little kid. Yeah, for sure. Wow. Cool.
