Junglia Okinawa: Everything you need to know!
Imagine a theme park where dinosaurs roam around the jungle, where adrenaline meets tranquility, and where every corner feels like a movie set, except it’s real. Welcome to Junglia, Okinawa’s brand new nature adventure theme park nestled deep in the heart of the Yambaru jungle. Hey guys, I’m so excited to take you along for this one because I got to attend the exclusive pre-opening of Junglia before it officially opened to the public on July 25th, 2025. And trust me, this place is nothing like your average theme park. Okay, so here are the topics I’m going to cover on this video. What is Junglia? How to get to Junglia? How much are the tickets? What to bring? What to wear? What can you do in Junglia? Where to stay when visiting Junglia? What is Junglia? Nestled in the UNESCO protected Yambaru jungle of northern Okinawa, Junglia transforms a former golf course into a massive 60 hectare nature adventure park with over 20 attractions, 15 dining spots, tent shops, and even a luxury spa. It’s designed to blend adrenaline, nature, and relaxation. Let’s talk about how you can get to Junglia. Junglia is located in the northern part of Okinawa called Naki Jin. So once you get to Naha airport, you can ride the bus or ferry, but I recommend renting a car, so you’ll get to explore different parts of Okinawa. In our case, we rented a car through Cook. And you can do it too with my discount code with Athena. And with the money you save, you can buy some souvenirs at Junglia. They have paid parking, but you have to purchase a reservation ticket prior to your visit. And it’s also available on Click. They do have affiliated parking which is free, but it’s located on the rooftop parking at Eon Nugle. And from there, you can take their shuttle bus, but I recommend just getting the paid parking because it’s just right in front of the park entrance. If you don’t have a license or can’t drive or just prefer using other transportations, they operate the convenient Junglia Express Bus, which goes directly to Junglia without any transfers. You can board from Naha airport, Naha City, the Nagago City Hall bus stop, official hotels, and the Okinawa Churumi Aquarium. Take note that reservations are required to use this service. You can make reservations through their website. I’ll put the link in the description below. How much are the tickets? So, here are the prices for one day ticket. It’s 8,800 yen tax included for adults and 5,940 yen for children’s. Spa Jungla is 3,80 yen for adults and $1870 for children. And you can also get the combo or the park and spa 1 day ticket for 11,880 yen for adults and 7,810 yen for children. This comes with a 500 yen coupon for the food cart. These are other information and children under 3 years old are admitted free. They also have premium passes. So, if you want to make the most of your trip and enjoy it in a well planned way without being affected by waiting times or numbered tickets, I recommend that you purchase a premium pass in addition to a 1-day ticket. With this, you can skip the waiting line at designated times or reserve a limited number of numbered tickets that could be used for a specific time. So, if there’s an attraction you definitely don’t want to miss, I strongly recommend purchasing a premium pass. What to bring or wear to Junglia? Before going, I had no idea what to expect. Jungle themed park, sure. But the moment I stepped in, it was clear this wasn’t just cute photo spots and rides. It’s a full-on tropical experience. I wore super breathable clothes, loose, lightweight, and quick drying. Pro tip, skip white, unless you’re cool with it turning brown from the mud. And shoes, closed toe sneakers. In my bag, I packed my mini fan, which is a lifesaver, sunscreen, bug spray, a mini towel, a power bank. In my case, my phone died twice because I took many videos. A water bottle, of course, stay hydrated. And a poncho or an umbrella. In my case, I brought an umbrella because it works both ways for the heat and the rain. And you need to keep in mind that Okinawa is a very tropical area and the weather is kind of unpredictable. It will definitely rain during your stay, but the rain comes and goes. It will not stay for long. It will rain for probably like 10 minutes or so and then it will stop and then there comes the heat again and then it will rain again and then the heat again. So just be prepared for both the heat and the rain. So the rain stopped again and it’s hot again. Oh my goodness, the heat is insane. Like it’s so hot. Like I can’t even You guys need to hydrate. Like that’s one thing you have to wear a hat or a cap. What can you do in Junglia? Attractions. Okay, so there are a lot of attractions in this park, but I only got to try three attractions when I visited and I’m going to share with you my experience on those three attractions. So the first one is the treetop trekking. These are suspension bridges and rope walks high above the forest. Um they also have the sky and trekking which is higher than the treetop trekking. I didn’t want to risk getting like stuck in the middle of the bridge, so I just went for the lower one, which is the treetop truck trekking. The treetop trekking is about 15 m high above the ground. And it was already scary for me. Like I was already shaking. And 15 m is like what, three stories? So imagine standing on the third floor of a building looking down trying to walk with just a few ropes to hold on to. Like there was even a part where you didn’t have anything to hold. Yeah, they do have like a life rope. Yeah, the orange one that you can see in the video. That one you can hold on to, but you know, I mean, if you want to challenge yourself and walk through the thing without holding on to anything, it’s quite scary if you’re afraid of heights. It was a nice challenge though. And if you’re not scared of heights and you just want to challenge yourself to the higher one, then go for the sky and trekking. Okay, the second attraction was the dinosaur safari. So, you board a rugged jeep and drive through a jungle filled with over 20 life-sized dinosaurs, including a 19 m bronchiosaurus and a chasing T-Rex. It’s immersive, wild, and incredibly realistic. Like the staff, or like they call themselves navigators, their acting was like very intense. Like you would feel like you’re in a Jurassic Park movie set with real actors. This was actually my favorite attraction. I wasn’t able to film because it’s not allowed, but here are some of the official footages from Junglia website. The kids will totally love this. And the last attraction is Finding Dinosaurs. This is actually for families with kids or if you really love dinosaurs. So, it’s a gentle interactive trail where you help rejoin baby dinosaurs with their parents. The story is cute. The baby dinosaurs are really, really cute. I think it’s perfect for kids or kids at heart. [Music] So, there are also other attractions that we didn’t get to experience, but there’s Sky Phoenix, which is the zipline. This high-speed flying ride makes you feel like a phoenix soaring above the treetops. Pure adrenaline with epic views. There’s also Gravity Drop, Human Arrow, and Titan Swing. I wanted to try the Titan swing, but it was raining when we got to that part. I was able to film how it goes. And yeah, the first drop is like intense. [Music] And yeah, I wanted to try that. Maybe next time. There’s also buggy voltage where you drive off-road through the jungle in a buggy. There’s also the adrenaline course which will really test your steering and nerves. And then there’s the horizon balloon. Soaring nearly 200 m up in a hot air balloon. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole park, but it wasn’t available when we went, so maybe next time. To get around the park, you can hop on their tam tram. It helps you conserve energy, and it actually feels like a party bus. Making transfers between areas extra fun. 3 2 1 [Applause] [Music] 3 2 1. [Music] Once you’re done with the rides, Junglia doesn’t slow down. At Panorama dining, you’ll sit in nestlike seating with sweeping views over the jungle. There’s also the wild banquet where food is cooked live surrounded by colorful tropical plants. There are also food cards available throughout the park. And of course, don’t forget your shopping. Get some nice souvenirs or one of these cute headbands. [Music] Oops. [Music] Oops. [Music] Now, let’s talk about Spa Jungla. If you’re ready to unwind after all the extreme attractions, Spa Jungla is world class with an infinity bath recognized by Guinness World Records. [Music] There are cave baths, saunas, and more. Imagine relaxing after an adrenaline day. [Music] Where to stay when visiting Junglia? We stayed at one of Junglia’s official hotels, Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort and Spa. [Music] You would be my baby. Baby, you would be my baby. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Ah, hey. [Music] [Music] Baby, you would be my baby. Baby, you would be my baby. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh, [Music] hey. [Music] Oh, data. [Music] I really recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Junglia. This was honestly one of the most unique theme parks I’ve ever visited. I love that Jungla blends adventure and serenity, giving you both heartracing moments and peaceful jungle vibes all in one place. Whether you’re visiting Okinawa for the first time or looking for something totally different in Japan, Junglia deserves a spot on your travel list. It’s fun, beautiful, a little wild, and full of surprises. Big thank you again to the Junglia team for inviting me to the pre-opening. It was such a special experience.
