Atletico Madrid president Cerezo not giving up on De Paul

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo isn’t giving up on Rodrigo de Paul.

The Argentina midfielder is a target for Inter Miami.

But interviewed by Radio Nacional de España, Cerezo stated: “These are all speculations. Saying one thing or another risks being wrong. Right now, we don’t know what will happen.”

Meanwhile, Atletico is preparing for its 15th consecutive season under Diego Simeone.

Cerezo also stated: “He has the same passion and joy as when he arrived 14 years ago. His desire to win is innate, no one can take it away from him.”

Regarding the season’s goals, the president was clear: “We want to fight to win La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. Then there are circumstances and luck, which count for a lot, but the mentality is the same.”
