MY FIRST TIME IN JAPAN | TOKYO, MOUNT FUJI, KYOTO, HIROSHIMA

Yay! Japan, [Music] yo, I just fell. [Music] Good morning vlog. Welcome back to another video. You already know the deal. We are in Japan and in this vlog I will be taking you along our journeys here. And we’re here in Tokyo. We landed around 5:00 a.m. this morning and we are about to go eat breakfast. [Music] Wagu with the ooie on top. They got the Wagyu burger. [Music] That’s pretty good. Okay guys, we are still here at the Suki fish market and right here I have a very thick slab of eel. Look at this. So good. Wow. Best deal ever. Very good. [Music] Oh, that’s nice. Wow. Wow. With all the sake. It is currently 11:00 a.m. and we have not been able to check into our hotel yet. We did go there, but our room is not available because we did get there at like 7:00 a.m. So, they told us to come back at 3:00 p.m. So, now we are just killing time and eating and walking. And now we are going to go to this cafe called Cafe Reissue. You know, we need some coffee to re-energize. You know what I mean? How do you like Japan so far? What was your favorite part so far? I don’t know. We literally just started. I’m trying to think what we’ve done so far besides seeing a temple and walking 10,000 steps today. Oh, maybe going into the 7-Eleven. So Lola and I just took a little taxi to Shabuya Crossing and the rest of the gang walked here. Look at this. We’re in Shabu Crossing Crossing. Shabuya crossing. [Music] [Music] Look how big this bowl is. It’s bigger than my head. All right, time to eat my noodle. Noodle. [Music] Good morning vlog. We finally were able to get some sleep yesterday. We had a really good first day here in Japan yesterday. We landed at 4:00 a.m. in Hanetta and then we took a taxi to our hotel. We are staying at the Blossom Hibia which is kind of near the Ginsa area. We went to the Tsukiji fish market. Then we went to the Maji Jingu Shrine and walked around there for a bit. And then we went to the cafe where you guys saw Presto’s little face on top of my ice latte, which honestly was really cute for the picture, but it was a very touristy spot. And they did require everybody in your party to order a drink and it was a little bit overpriced. The picture of Presto was kind of cute, so I guess it was worth it. Then we went to Shibuya Sky, which is um this observation deck. We were there during sunset. that we hung out at the rooftops, took a couple of pictures, and it was so so pretty. But we’re rested, we’re recovered, we’re re-energized, and we’re ready for day two. I’m about to go have breakfast now. Look in the freezer cuz it’s all ice creamy, guys. They have natto here, and I’m pretty happy about it. [Music] Okay, guys. We’re actually at my mom and Lola’s room behind it. Lola, do you like the view? Yeah, so far so nice. I want to see show it to Tito. Well, Tito Bob, if you’re watching my vid video and Tito Vanji and Phillip and Enzo and the rest of the fam, this is the view. I didn’t know this is a mirror. We are in the 47th floor. 26. 26. 26. She’s close. She’s close. 26th floor. 26th floor. And then we have the train station right there. That’s right. Blossom. Blossom. Hibby. Hibia. Tokyo Jan. Yeah. Here. All right. Day two. Here we go. [Music] We are at the Sensi Temple here in Asakusa and it is quite crowded. I got Lola and my mom here. This is the incense area. It’s a regular fortune. We hide all our bad fortunes along with the other bad fortunes in here. [Music] [Music] Just a little update. We are still in the Asakusa area by the Nakamisa Dor Street where we were just walking around and then we went to Kapabashi Kitchen Street where we bought some knives and a little bit of, you know, kitchen wear stuff. I got some chopsticks and really cute chopstick holders. And we just stumbled upon this place. We’re just sitting here waiting for our food. And Lola’s out here stretching out all of her legs. I’m tired. She’s tired, but she’s done a good job walking all these steps. Onion. Where do you put that? It’s egg. Wow. This is my miso. Miso soup. Miso soup. So, look at this. Moving now. Good morning, guys. We just checked out of our uh hotel and we are currently on the way to Mount Fuji. We are staying there for tonight and we are traveling there by train. So, we got our little suitcases with us and we’re going to lung this all along. So, what insane [Music] How are you? She’s so pretty. Look at her. Oh my god. [Music] I know. Arrived to our hotel. We’re about to check in and check out our view in front of our hotel. [Music] Guys, this place is actually huge. So, we are staying at Hotel Kanayyama. We got here a little bit early, so we’re just exploring the area and walking around the garden. Okay, so this place actually has like very nice little mini hiking trails that we just went on. Yeah, I know. Shay hiking. Lola did it. She went up and down the hill where we saw the little Mount Fuji viewing point. We’re just killing time before we do the tea ceremony which starts at 1:30. And there’s an area inside of the hotel where you can just sit out and look at the garden. Oh my gosh. It’s hot. Natto. Natto. What is it? [Music] We just went to this little restaurant right across from our hotel and we had some nice udon soup. I had natto udon. I’ve never had natto udon before. And if you know me, I love natto. We just finished the little tea ceremony. They gave us this little pastry sweet thing that you’re supposed to eat before we got our green tea. And the tea was so good. Then we were told to go to this area next to it where we tried amazered rice drink. I already love it here. I don’t want to leave. I don’t want to leave Japan. So, we are in a traditional Japanese royokan. You can either do a western style or Japanese style room. And I chose the Japanese style one because we’re in Japan. We got two rooms. So, my mom, my dad, and my grandma are in the other room. And me, Aaron, and Shay are in this one. And I’m going to give you guys a quick little Rioan tour. So, when you walk in, you have your slippers there. It’s where you take off your shoes. And then this is the bathroom. A couple of goodies. They provide you with a lot of toiletries and clothes. And we go in here. Is a little bath. Here we have an open air bath. Woo. So, here is our uh living room setup right now. And then at night, they’re going to put down the mattress and turn this into a bedroom. This is our little living room area. Living room and kitchen area. And and they also give us robes and also the traditional Japanese um pants. These are little face towels that we use to bring when we go up to the public onen on the rooftop and socks. My dad literally fell in here. [Music] We have a private onen in our room and I was just there relaxing and it was so hot. I am now cooling off, but my brother and Shay are still in there. I just wanted to tell you guys that this place is really nice and the people here are so friendly. We checked out the wine lounge, which was crazy. They have a lot of different types of snacks and ice cream and coffee and tea and beer and various wine unlimited that you can choose from. So, we have our dinner at 6:30 and then there’s this drum performance at 8:30. It’s a Japanese thing. [Applause] [Music] We have one. Oh, so there are two. Yeah, probably one of. So, we put on our yucatas and we’re about to go head down for dinner. Look at him. Sh. Look at me. And look at Lola. A little purse. I didn’t put my sh all you [Music] picture up. [Music] [Music] [Music] These are the guides fits. [Music] the bingo. [Music] Here’s our beds. Here’s our little mattresses. Our little sleeping situation. They’re good. How How does it feel? Oh my god. Why would you do that? Why would you do that? It is not. She really thought break the ball breakfast. Hot spring egg, spicy codro, pickled veggies, salmon, tuna, wasabi, and this seafood gratine. And this is my first time having natto from a straw. So, we’re going to see how that goes. Can’t forget the Mount Fuji water. I think you should try natto. Everyone should try it. Oh, it’s different. First, you froth it. You do this about a 100 times. Mix it around. [Music] This is really good. This is mustard. Then, you froth again, right? And My dad’s trying natto. What do you think? I don’t know. I think it’s an acquired taste. [Music] Wow. Okay. So, we are going on a little tour today and our first stop is Sherto Pagota. 300 something steps later and we made it. We going to go to the top to get the viewing point of both Mount Fuji and the Pagota. And time to go back down. We did 400 steps. I was a little tired after 400, but we made it. And then we went and did another couple hundred more steps. [Music] You made it. We made it. It’s pagod. Now we’re pagod. Jarita pagod. We did it. Now we are pagoda. [Music] This streets are so busy. But uh open [Music] [Applause] [Music] Papa Cruz spotted. What did you get? Uh, just a chocolate and vanilla. Cone is really good. I would eat it fast because mine dripped all over the place. [Music] [Music] Hi vlog. We just finished our little tour around Fuji Yoshida with Yuki and that was so much fun. Shout out to Yuki for driving us everywhere and taking us all around town. He dropped us off at Matami station where we will be taking the sleeper train to Okayyama tonight. Hi guys, we just got on the sleeper train from Atami station. This is the sunrise set. We’re taking it from Atami station to Okayama station. I inquired about this I think at least 3 months before our trip. We got our last choice which was single rooms. So, all six of us are sleeping in very small single rooms, which is fine. This is, I think, the single bed solo traveler room, I think is what it’s called. So, I’m going to show you guys. I’m going to give you a little mini room tour. So, when you walk in, they give you nice slippers. They do give you some nice pajamas to sleep in. This is the bed. You get a hanger. This is my oversized carry-on bag, which honestly kind of fits. I’ll make it work. I’ll probably put it on its side. And I have room for my backpack there. A big window, which you can’t really see anything. And then if I open this, there’s Oh my god, there he is. It is 12:00. I will be going to sleep now. We were supposed to get to Okyama at 6:27 a.m. Hopefully I wake up. I’m going to set like a trillion billion alarms. I wasn’t able to fully wash my face. And you do need to get like a shower card, but that already got sold out. We aren’t the first stop, but this train actually comes from Tokyo and then it goes east to west. We’re like one of the third, fourth stops. We came from Atami station, so there were already people on board here that had probably already purchased all the shower tickets. There is like a little lounge area and bath a communal bathroom and the communal shower that’s also in that same area. So anyways, I’m so tired. So I’m just going to go to sleep and I will talk to you guys tomorrow when we’re in Okayama. All right, bye-bye. Good night. See you tomorrow or in like 1 second, actually. Good morning, guys. It is 6:13 and we are arriving at our destination in Okyama Station in about 10 minutes. They do also have these shades if you don’t want to be bothered by the light. We are planning on going to Kyoto today, but we’re going to probably have breakfast here in Okyama first and then take the bullet train to Kyoto. Oh my gosh, is this a station? Oh my gosh. Bye. How could you do that? How can you do it? Wow. [Music] Strawberry sando from 7-Eleven. Finally found it. So, I snagged it off. Now, we are going to put our luggage in coin lockers. I can touch the top of the door. It’s perfect for me. Everything in Japan is like perfect size for me. Tuck the picture. It’s the one that you soak in the water and like pick. Here in Japan, they always give you a wet towel before you eat. But we were actually in Kurashiki Beacon Historical Quarter and we’re just here at Cafe Gwa. I got the cheese as well. Shay got the omelette toast with a little bit of tomatoes on top. Uh, I got omelette. Look at her. And then Shay and I both got cafe. Mom, what did you get? Cheese toast with olive oil. Wow. What did you get? [Music] Don’t sit next to him. Only in Japan. Say it again. You’re almost done. Aaron got strawberry jam toast and I got the curry set. Banana toast for Aaron. Second round. Oh yeah. They call this the Venice of Japan. Did you see that? [Music] This is our first time riding the bullet train. We’re taking the bullet train from Okyama to Kyoto. I bought a bento box for the trip. I just keep eating on this trip and honestly, I’m not mad about it. I got the Okyama special box and she looks so good. [Applause] [Music] We just got to our new hotel in Kyoto. We are staying at the Thousand Hotel. We did send our big luggages here from Tokyo. We used the Takub Bin luggage service and it ended up working out pretty well. We checked in and they were like, “Oh yeah, your luggages are already in your room.” That worked out. Thank goodness. I’m going to give you guys a very, very quick room tour. Here we go. Our room. It’s honestly very spacious compared to our room in Tokyo. It’s very modern and all the controls are on the iPad. This is the bathroom, shower room, and of course the toilet. Y’all, I need one I need one of these toilets at home. I really do. Oh, all right. Anyways, [Music] why don’t you move? Why are you a statue? Okay, we’re in the bamboo forest. Beautiful. Beautiful. Okay, let’s go. [Music] Dad, what did you get? It’s a rice burger. Well, it’s shrimp tempura with mixed with veggies and rice burger and cheese. That’s cheese. Wow. Cheese. [Music] We are in Nin Zaka area. It’s a very popular area. The crowd here is still a lot. And we have dinner at the sodto tonight. I don’t know if Oh, let’s see. Let’s see. I was able to snag some uh rice seasoning from this pepper shop and I’m going to try it when I get home. [Music] Good morning vlog. We are going to Hiroshima today. We are taking the Shikhan Hikarati all the way direct to Firoshima. This is the last train that goes directly there. Um if we miss this, we would have had to transfer which would have taken a lot longer. It’s about an hour and a 45minut train ride there. And we’ll see you guys there. mile zero of the Hiroshima Prefecture and we are walking towards the uh one of the ruins from the atomic bomb which is the dome. Basically the US dropped the atomic bomb on Japan to end World War II. We are eating at an okayyaki restaurant here in Hiroshima and we’re sitting right in front of where the action is. [Music] Okay, just finished our late lunch and we are so full. A konamayyaki is it’s like an omeolet pancake with a bunch of different toppings you can add. Ours had like the little pancake on the bottom, egg on top, bean sprouts, pork, and the noodles that they fry on the pan. This is the place we just went to. If you’re here, highly recommend. We are going to uh Miaima, which is an island off the coast of Hiroshima. [Music] on the ferry to Yajima Island and we’re taking a little the long way around so that we can see the the floating Tori gate. It was floating. [Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome aboard to JR Japan. [Music] We are back in Kyoto and we just got back from our little trip to Miaima Island and honestly underrated island. If I could, I would have probably stayed there a lot longer than we did today. We are going to get dinner now at Guugatsu here in Kyoto. [Music] I think on the two high balls over there. [Music] Good morning vlog. I haven’t been able to say good night to my vlog the past couple days because honestly after every single day here, I’ve just gone to the room and just completely passed out. So anyways, we are still in Kyoto today. Today we are going to be visiting the Fushimi Inari Shrine. We’re going to stay there for the morning and then after we’re going to go to Osaka and spend the rest of the day there. Um probably shopping, eating, you know the drill. We are at the Thousand Sory gates and we’re just about to head up. And oh my goodness, it is very crowded here. If you guys do come here, I highly recommend probably going a lot earlier than we did. It’s only 9:00 a.m. and it’s already completely packed. So, we’re going to see how far we can get. Honestly, don’t spend your time taking pictures at the couple of the first Tory gates because if you keep walking uphill, there will be less crowds. Dad with the selfie stick as always. [Music] It is quite a hike to get up here, but it’s pretty worth it because the crowd gets less and less and less the more you go up. So, it is worth it. Go to the top. Dad, stay there. Dad, stay there. [Music] Oh, I just fell. We have reached the summit. [Music] [Music] Hi vlog. We are still in Osaka tonight. We’re probably going to chill here for the rest of the night before we go back to our hotel in Kyoto. We just did some damage and we went shopping here. Good morning vlog. We are on an adventure to Arashiyama. We’re going to stay around Kyoto today before we head back to Tokyo later. Just in a natural habitat. [Music] It is quite literally matcha town here. Matcha cotton candy, matcha beer, matcha ice cream, matcha latte, matcha everything. If you like matcha, you guys have to come here. Look how cute this little town is. All right, time to walk over the bridge. [Music] What did you call that? It’s the leaning tower of Pisa. It is quite a hike to get to the top of this where the monkeys are. And Bola is doing a good job. Look at her go. Honestly, same. He’s straight chilling on that tree eating a banana. [Music] Lola, you made it to the top. You made She made it to the top, guys. Dad, what do you got? You got the biggest eel. That is scary. A cold sake and a cold sake. I also got some cold soba, the unagi, and a couple of side dishes and the tofu. My mom got oyon, chicken and egg, and she also got the same thing. Hi vlog. We are still here in Aroyama. We just went to the monkey park and I got to feed the monkeys and we had a nice little lunch here in the area. The rest of my family, they’re going to the bamboo forest, but Shay and I are going to keep shopping. So, we’re going to keep exploring Kyoto. Hopefully do some last minute shopping before we head back to Tokyo tonight because tomorrow we are catching a flight to Korea. We’re going to Soul tomorrow morning and so we’re staying overnight at the at a hotel near the airport. Good morning vlog. I don’t even remember the where I left off, but it is the next day. Yesterday we spent majority of the day in Kyoto and then at night we took the last bullet train back to Tokyo and then we had to take two trains to Narita because we are flying out of Narita today. So sad. Oh my gosh. I don’t want to leave Japan. I love it here so much. I love the people. I love the food. I love everything. I love the toilets. I love the toilets. It was a very, very long ride back to Narita. fly to Hanetta if possible because it’s way closer to Tokyo than Narita airport is. But anyways, today we are flying to South Korea. Shay and I are only going to be there for only 2 days. I’m going to end my Japan vlog here. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please be sure to give it a thumbs up and like, comment, and subscribe if you haven’t already. Bye. [Music]
