Ine Vlog | Japan’s Most Scenic Fishing Village

Good morning! Today, we’re visiting a place I’ve been wanting to see for a long time After a quick breakfast, heading to the bus now I do enjoy city life, but I always appreciate the calm of the countryside The ride will take about 30 minutes. The ride from Amanohashidate to Ine is short but beautiful The road follows the coast of Miyazu Bay with sea views all along the way I finally arrived. It’s warm today, but not overwhelming Just wandering around with no strict plan Ine is a small fishing town on the coast of Kyoto famous for its unique boat houses called ‘funaya’. The lower floors face directly the sea and store boats, while people live upstairs Quiet, peaceful, and incredibly photogenic Some call it Japan’s Venice, thanks to its boat houses floating on the bay Ine is also home to a historic sake brewery founded in 1754 It may look like a small sake shop, but they manage to produce on a larger scale Since I don’t drink sake, I just got some ice cream The water here is so clear and beautifully turquoise Some of the houses here are over 200 years old and the architectures are well-preserved Boat tours around Ine Bay are very popular The standard tour lasts about 25 minutes and costs around 1,000 yen A few of the tours are pet-friendly, and some staff can speak English Let’s go! So relaxing! At some points, they slow down and share information about the houses, cafes, and other places You can even feed the seagulls they follow the boat! and literally grab the snacks out of the air The boat tour’s done Lovely flowers! Let’s look inside Here’s a map of the town Some souvenirs and local products cute little magnets with funaya designs more magnets and postcards Good-quality rice, nicely packaged I’m going to get this picture storybook too An informative photobook I filled out this survey And won a tea bag! The sun is getting stronger now This looks like a nice photo spot. I forgot to put sunscreen on my back so now it’s getting a lovely shade of red :’) I’m starting to get a little hungry I made a reservation here because it’s one of the most well-known places But there are also a few other restaurants around that you can try This is the photospot of the cafe I ordered the lunch set and I’m just looking around while I wait Lunch is served Soup and an avocado rice bowl with raw fish The meal was good and filling Now I’m visiting a funaya that’s open for visitors Inside, you can see old fishing tools and items from daily life The boat is stored on the lower level, and the upper floor is the living space It’s a cozy space with photos of Ine’s past and some local gifts for sale Came to this scenic little café to enjoy a cup of coffee They transformed this old funaya into a cozy café I could sit here for hours Now that I’m totally recharged let’s keep exploring There’s a bit stronger, cooler breeze here I’m curious where these stairs lead I wanted to keep going up the stairs, but the path is closed It’s so quiet and calming here decided to take a break and read my new storybook This is a well-known Japanese folk tale about a fisherman named Urashima Tarō It’s about time and change with a bittersweet ending The sun isn’t as strong now I liked a lot about this trip but especially the reading spot and the color of the water I came across a little hillside shrine This small Yasaka Shrine sits on a hill and had an beautiful view Just got back to Amanohashidate, took the bus from Ine Walking by the bay as I head back to the hotel such a peaceful end to the day Naturally, I couldn’t resist getting closer and I dipped my feet in the water for a bit There’s a dock here, but no one seems to be swimming As the day comes to an end I feel so grateful for the quiet moments and gentle views Just got back to the hotel room I’ll be heading out tomorrow. At the station now, heading back to Osaka soon Thanks for joining me on this little trip See you in the next video!

  1. Once again, wonderful images.
Today's colors are blue, green, and turquoise.
I felt a bit shivery when I imagined Turkish bus drivers on those roads.
The town seems to have become more of a tourist spot rather than a fishing village. It’s not bad at all, rather than being completely abandoned and in ruins.
It seems like the western coasts of Japan are less crowded compared to the east.
The friend walking at 21:40 made me smile 🙂
Thank you so much for your beautiful videos ♡

  2. Her zaman ki gibi bir görsel şölen. Huzuru doyasıya hissedebileceğimiz görsellik. Emeğine sağlık. Bir sonraki videoyuda sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum.
