Fairfield by Marriott Sapporo, Hokkaido Japan
Hi everyone, welcome to our channel. We are the traveling couple WL. We’ve landed at New Chetos airport in Saporro and we’re making our way to the train. After exiting the arrival hall, we followed the signs. We located the ticket machine, purchased our tickets, and made our way to the platform. [Music] There are no reserve seating on this train. We got over at Saporro station. Then we’ll have to catch the next train on the number line where we will exit at Suzuki no station. After about a 10 minutes walk, we arrive at Fairfield by Marriott Saporro. The hotel lobby was quite modern with seating areas. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. [Music] This is a twin room which is about 24 square m. [Music] There is a small desk and a humidifier. Below the TV are some power points and USB ports. [Music] You are provided with complimentary bottled water, espresso coffee pods, and tea bags. [Music] We received a complimentary drink and chocolates when checking in at the reception. [Music] There’s a safe honey board and slippers. [Music] From our room, we could see the shopping mall in the clock tower. On-site parking is available with a fee. [Music] They provide hand wash and a few basic toiletries. [Music] shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided. On the same floor, there’s a drinks and vending machine and an ice machine. [Music] If you need to keep yourself fit, the fitness center is on level two. It is open all day. There are a few machine and weights. [Music] Opposite the gym is a complimentary drinks machine. [Music] Fig Cafe Lagon serves coffee and pastries. [Music] Breakfast is served at restaurant Luanto. [Music] It’s open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. You get a variety of western and local food. [Music] After having a hearty breakfast, it’s time to explore. Within a couple of minutes from Fairfield is Nijou Market. It’s a popular market for the locals and tourists to shop for local produce and seafood. You can also enjoy the fresh produce in some of the restaurants. [Music] Opposite the market is Tanuki Koji Shopping Street. This is the oldest shopping district and spans across 1 kilometer. There are over 200 shops. You can purchase clothing, shoes, souvenas or dine in some of the restaurants. The Saporro TV tower is about a 7 minutes walk from Fairfield. It was built in 1957 and 147.2 m high. You can purchase tickets to the observation deck, which will give you a 360° view of the cityscape. Thanks for watching and see you my next video.
