Identifying a place and picture quality

Can somebody help me identify where this place is. I know it is in Japan. It also might be in a museum, I’m not sure. In addition can someone provide a photo of this same carving in clearer quality as I plan to use it on a summer assignment. Since this is related to Japanese architecture and also represents a pheasant, it would be beneficial to my assignment. Thank you everybody’s help in advance.
