3 Must Visit Autumn Spots in Japan! Part 1

You need to add these places to your autumn Japan bucket list! 🍂 👇🏼

There are so many spectacular places in Japan that become even more incredible with autumn colours 🤩 if you can only visit in one season, definitely add autumn in Japan to your bucket list 😉

1️⃣ Kenrokuen, Kanazawa

Easily one of the most beautiful gardens at any time of year is Kenrokuen, and it’s even more spectacular in autumn! The trees turn vibrant shades of red, orange and gold and there is so much to see and explore in garden.

2️⃣ Gōtokuji, Tokyo

Located in Setagaya in Tokyo, there is an amazing cat temple that is even more picturesque when you visit in autumn 🍂 visit later in the day for the most beautiful light filtering through the autumn leaves!

However, if you want to pick up one of the maneki neko or an ema, go early in the morning as they sell out during the day.

3️⃣ Eikandō, Kyoto

Sadly not a hidden gem at all as it’s pretty popular, but for good reason! 🤩 the colours of the autumn foliage are truly spectacular at this temple in Kyoto. We didn’t find it as busy as Kiyomizudera though, since it’s not as centrally located in the city.

It’s truly one of the most stunning Kyoto temples to visit in autumn!

If you want fewer crowds, visit early in the day if you can. We visited in the afternoon and it was pretty busy, but still spectacular!
