Day trip to Kamakura from Tokyo πŸ—ΌπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅β›©οΈ

If you’re in Tokyo, then I highly recommend that you take a trip down to Kamakura. So, like most days in Tokyo, we started off at Family Mart, got a coffee and some of these beautiful maple syrup butter pancakes. Then, we’re headed down to the train station. No need to get any tickets as you can use your squeaker card to get all the way there. If you want to take a screenshot, here’s the route we took to get there. In my opinion, it’s so easy to get round on foot. Now, the first place we went to is the Kotuko Inn, which is the Big Buddha. Then we headed down to the beach, had a little bit of a wander around and had some lunch. Then we headed back into the town through the Tory gate and down Danazura Avenue, which in my opinion is probably one of the best walkways that I’ve ever seen. At the end, there’s another toy gate. We took a right, followed the river all the way down to Hokkui, where you’ll find a temple, beautiful gardens, and the best part, the bamboo forest. We love Kamakura, and it was well worth the trip out. If you want a screenshot, here’s the route we took back. Details in the description below.

Whilst staying in Tokyo we decided to take a day trip just south of Tokyo to Kamakura.
