Don’t Take Your Kids to Tokyo Disneyland… Until You See This!

We are the Wonder Lust Kids. We’re a family of four here to show you how to travel the world. And today we are in Disneyland, Tokyo. Well, that jingle can only mean one thing. We are at the train station headed for Disney. We’ve just got off the train. Two very excited children as we are going to go to Disneyland Tokyo for the day. Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse. I can’t wait to see Mickey Mouse. Are you excited to take me? So, as you can see, my umbrella is up. We have not been blessed with the best weather today. But we are hoping that that means it’s going to be quieter, but judging by how many people there got off the train, don’t think it’s going to be. We’re excited. We’ve seen that Tokyo’s got lots of really good Disney food and snacks. Look at that Disney train coming behind me. Let’s see what we think of this one compared to the other ones we’ve been to and see if we can decide which one we think was the best. We’re just walking from the train station. Now, I’ve seen on Instagram there’s been some massive cues. People seem to get here at 4:00 in the morning to join the line to try and get on the rides first. So, I’m really hoping as oops that I don’t fall over. I’m really hoping that when we get to the bottom there’s not a massive queue because I think there’s going to be enough queuing as there is today without having to queue for too long to get in. We are having a splendid time at Disneyland and Japan. Here we are. The happiest place in the world. The happiest place in the world. And it really is. Happy Disney World. Happy Disney World. It’s truly magical coming to Disneyland with the kids. I used to come here all the time when I was younger. not the Tokyo one, the California one. And being able to see the magic through their eyes is just something something you can’t even describe. It’s the the magic that Disneyland brings and the joy it brings to the kids is just spectacular. There was no massive queue. We’ve had to download the tickets onto our phone. So, we’re just going to beat our tickets and then we’re in. The kids are so excited. We’re just walking down. I don’t know whether they call it Main Street or not, but it’s like the main street. And something great. As you can see, I’m under shelter. So, maybe they get a lot more rain than some places. The kids are so excited. Hopefully we don’t lose the kids. They’re running off. They’ve got so much joy in their faces. Just spotted Donald Duck. And it looks like they let you go up to the characters here. I know in some of the parks since co they’re a little bit funny about you going too close to the characters, but here it looks like you get a really good interaction. So that’s brilliant. This is a beautiful castle. It’s bigger than the one in California, isn’t it? Definitely. The one in California is quite tiny compared to this one. There’s like an app on the phone so you can pay extra to go on some of the rides. So, since we last came, they’ve opened up a Beauty and the Beast ride, which I am definitely super excited about. It looks absolutely incredible on videos and Violet wants to go on the Beauty and the Beast ride as well. So, we have just paid extra to skip the line. It was £10 per adult, which isn’t terrible. I think in America, it’s a lot more if you want to go on some of the rides. And in Paris, it’s a lot more as well. And the tickets for here are a lot cheaper. How much was a ticket for here? Uh, I think it was about £60. About £60 per adult for the tickets. So, definitely a lot cheaper than some of the other parks. So, they’ve actually got a shop just for their popcorn holders. So, we’re going to head for there because otherwise you have to stop at each one in the hope that they have the popcorn holder that you’re after. So, we’re going to pop in here and see all the crazy different popcorn holders. We’re all going to go. Don’t worry. This one’s cool. with like the actual popcorn bucket or this? What about the one with the the Disney castle? There’s no So, honestly, if I can get all of these in my suitcase, I think I’d want to take them all home. What do you want? Popcorn and a ice cream car. And I mean the cart. You want the popcorn cart? Yes. And strawberry popcorn. Okay. So, we can Can we put the strawberry popcorn inside, please? Okay. Wow. Isn’t that pretty? That’s so cool. It’s got Mickey and Minnie. It’s got Mickey and Minnie. And how pretty is that? Is Minnie trying on her dresses? Violet’s letting me try a caramel. Oh, they’re nice and warm. Like freshly. Can I have a pink one, please? And Oliver went for strawberry. Let’s see who picked best. and caramel. Oh, that really nice. That’s like strawberry ice cream. Oliver got the best choice. I’m the winner. They’re delicious. Wow. Caramel. Daddy, what was that? Daddy of caramel. Daddy’s got some caramel there. And it looks like the rain’s coming back out. Quick. Let’s run. Run. That’s a lot of rain coming down today, but it hasn’t stopped anyone coming out to enjoy it, I don’t think. Come on, keep going. We’re going on It’s a Small World. This is Violet’s favorite ride, Small World. And at least we’re undercover. There’s no line for a Small World. There never really seems to be. So, you’re going to sing along? Here we go. First ride of the day. It’s a small world. It just has to be done. That music. Daddy’s behind me enjoying it. I think secretly he’s the biggest kid, but he won’t admit it. Oh, look. It’s Groot. Looks Brut’s in here. Oh, yeah. Elsa. Oh, wow. They got all the characters and Ola. Hi. Hi. Oh, this is incredible. They’ve got so many characters and they’ve got all the Marvel characters in here as well. So, we’ve seen Captain America. We’ve seen Br. Who else have we seen? Lots of fruit. Yeah, loads of fruits. And we’ve seen Moana. I’ve not been on one of the small world rides and they’ve had all this before. It’s so good. Should we go home? You want to go on another ride? All right. Wow. We’re just entering the Beauty and the Beast area. They’ve done it out just like the little village. It is Gaston. Yeah. Oh, mommy definitely wants to go in the Beauty and the Beast shop. I don’t. Daddy doesn’t. Mommy does. I love you. I love you, too. We’ve actually got the fast passes for this ride cuz there was no way I was leaving today without trying this ride. So, we have to look for the priority access. So, you just book that with your app. This is so exciting. Cannot wait. Beauty and the Beast has always been my absolute favorite favorite film and I just can’t wait to try the ride out. I like Beauty and the Beast. You like Beauty and the Beast. Do you? I love you. Potions. When you come here, it’s so special with the kids. I love that they love it just as much as me. Where’s the candles? They’re all the candles, aren’t they? I’ve never been on this ride before. It’s a brand new ride. I promise you never. It only got built this year. Look at the window. I’m a wolf now. Go on. Be a walk. Here we go. Hallelujah. Go down. Well, that was sensational. That was possibly the best ride I think I’ve ever experienced. I want to go on Oliver and Violet’s little faces. So, so special. That was definitely worth paying a little bit more money. You can hear Oliver now saying he wants to go on it again. That was I almost feel emotional with that one cuz it’s such an amazing film for me. Brilliant. I want to go again. We might do it at the end of the day. My new favorite ride. Yeah. Better than Small World. Uh butterflies are fun. But they’re a little bit scary. But the beast one wasn’t scary. No. Was it good? Well, the beast was scary at the end. At the end it was a bit scary. Yeah, we’re going to we’re going to try and find some food here. They got Mickey pizzas and they got bail buns. Food is a big thing here. It’s really special cuz it’s all in the shape of Mickey Mouse. French fries, lemon cakes, sausage. Just in Toontown and we have stopped for some lunch. Daddy’s gone off to order and we’ve got on the table Oliver. Oliver, what did you think of the Beauty and the Beast ride? Oh, you want to show them what you bought in the shops? What else did you buy? We just bought this in the Beauty and the Beast shop. What else did you get? And what is it? Mini teacup. The teacup that we went on on the ride. And what else did you buy? A little train. A little train. Yeah. So, so far, Oliver, we’ve been on Small World and Beauty and the Beast. Which one did you prefer? The teapot. The teapot. And which did you prefer, Violet? I chose this. What did you choose in the shops? Oh, wow. A balloon. Oh, and a rose. Maybe we shouldn’t smash the rose. And now we’re going to have a Mickey pizza. Can you get me a sausage? Really? Taste the teriyaki. It’s really nice. It’s really good. I don’t like it. I’m not having it. What? What’s wrong with it? I don’t like the green. You didn’t eat the green bit, though. Wow. Oliver wants a sausage. The pizza wasn’t a winner. This is really good, though. Let’s give an iced coffee from Disney a go. See what this is like. Oh, that’s really nice. That’s really You’d like that? I think you’d like that. Well, that’s the same thing cuz I don’t like coffee. That’s really nice. It’s all right. All right. And now look at this. This is the best thing. This is a Mickey Mouse chocolate macaroon. We ready? Oh, wow. Hey, that’s mine. Come on. Where’s one? There’s no way I’m sharing this. Is that good? Wow, that’s really good. It’s got like chocolate chips inside it. A really generous sized macaroon as well, isn’t it? Sure. Then give it a go. I’ve got pizza in my mouth. Let’s go for it. Got a bit of cake inside. Yeah. It’s not like a normal macaroon. It’s almost like a brownie style macaroon. That is I’m going to enjoy that. Oliver, what ride are we going on now? Pizza pan. What price is this? Pizza. Pizza pan. Should we let Oliver and Violet take in turns for which ride they choose? And Oliver chose pizza. What are we going to see? Captain Hook. Are we having a great day? Think about Oh, yeah. Is this forune? We’re going to fly. Here we go. Oh, look. Captain P. Help you. There we go. How was that? Was that good? Oh, the ride was amazing. One of the originals, isn’t it? It’s one of the originals. It’s one of the classic ones. You can’t get better than the classic. We’re going in Snow White now. Who are we going to see in Snow White? What ride are we going on now? No whitey. Do you know the snow white song? Hi ho. Hi ho. It’s off to we go with a dick dick dick. Okay. Inside. Okay. Inside. Okay. That’s Can’t beat Did you like it? Yeah. I was foolish to the wicked. Were you? Was it scary? Oh wow, that was a little bit scary. Do you know what? It’s strange because I don’t remember it as a kid, but some of the rides are actually really quite scary. And that’s one of them. And uh yeah, as daddy said, that is definitely one of them. Now we are off to ride Pinocchio. You know, the the queues haven’t been very long here. They only feel like we’ve been queuing for about 10 minutes, which is really good. whether the weather is holding people off or we ate a we chose to eat a little bit early so I don’t know whether a lot of people are just grabbing their lunch but we’ve got quite a few rides done in the last hour so that’s really really good sometimes in other parks we’ve queued for like an hour an hour and a half to get on Peter Pan and it was only 10 minutes which is really really Nice. No. Huh? We are going on the teacup. What ride are we going on? Teacup. Teacup ride. And what we going to do on the teacup ride? Spin. Spin. Spin. Spin. Spin. Now it’s mommy’s time to have a little rest because there’s certain rides that make mommy feel a little bit sick. And this is one of them. Where are my children? Where are they? One more step. Oh no. Well, I think we’ve been rained out of Disney early. The heavens have really opened and it is now torrential downpour. So, they canled the parade. So, we’ve got two unfortunately very unhappy children. But, we managed to get loads of rides done. We’ve tried lots of different novelty foods. But now, I think it’s time to end our day. But I think we’re going to come back on Friday to Disney Sea and hopefully we’ll have some better weather. We’ll keep our fingers crossed. Oh yeah.
