Talking About Our Kumamoto Trip at an Izakaya 居酒屋で熊本名物を食べながら旅の振り返り

In terms of the experiences and places we went, it’s been the best time so far. Really? For sure. Stuff like the knife place. You know, I thought we were going to basically go to a museum, which would still be cool. True. But then they’re like, “Let’s go in the back.” And the guy is sitting there with a thousand degree oven. He’s banging on the hammer. I mean, that was really awesome. So that was way more like real life experience than I expected at the knife show which was really awesome. Yeah, I didn’t expect that. I can actually see them making the knife anymore. The knife store but for me after the knife store I still remember after the knife store we went to the chua in front of the station and it’s a good experience. Yeah, of course. And you got and you got to respect the local culture here cuz you know true they take the Chikua deadly serious like tons of history. I mean Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like there’s so many small fishes around here the river. So they used to like make it like Yeah. So I guess I guess the idea is the fish aren’t big enough to eat one by one. So you have to blend them all up basically. Yeah. Yeah. I wonder what made it so sweet and also gummy. Yeah. Because the Okay. I toa the another chigua restaurant that we went the toya’s chigua wasn’t gummy at all. You didn’t eat it though. So the chua that had a potato salad inside uh it was really just crispy and like soft. Yeah, like the one. Okay, I remember what we what we ate the a fry. Oh yeah, that was so good. Oh my god. I think that was the actually the best moment for the daytime. Bump you the ch onean. And I was surprised that when people say, “Oh, Chikuan was here that huge.” It’s like, “What do you mean that huge?” And like when some people say, “Chuan was here.” Or like, “Do you remember there was a lady came just for Chikuan?” Yeah. Yeah. There was one lady come up like with the elevator and she was like, “Oh, I’m here just for Chikuan.” Oh my god. I was able to see Kumamong from Kumamoto is I think the biggest most popular like regional character in Japan and then Chukuan is like even succeeding in the Kumamoto market which shows you how big. Yeah, I was surprised because very cute the onen and Kumamoto is also I think is famous for onen because for BEu they had onen too and Kim Farro. Yes, that the one that we are staying at. Yeah. Yeah. Has onen too because usually if you don’t stay there, you can get into the onen with 500 yen. Like it’s super cheap. Actually for something like that, that’s like nothing. I know. It’s like a wonderful experience. Like you have the rot like the outside on sand. Yeah, it was beautiful. And in the rain too, it’s nice cuz sometimes you in the onen too long you get hot but then the cold rain on your head is like the perfect balance. The bamboo. Yeah. Ah yeah. There’s more the doll. Yeah. So and it even beyond what he was making in that moment. The chopsticks or the doll. It was walking up and turning on this random alley and he’s sitting there in his workshop and it’s open air and it’s pouring down rain and it’s like natural behind him. It was a beautiful scene. It was it was it’s like just as beautiful as anything he was making was him making it everything like I don’t know how to describe like him and the place and what is he doing like and I I think that shows his background and his history like everything was there like that was an art like that moment was an art. Yeah. Third generation over 120 years in business order basis special bamboo chopsticks. That’s legit. But still, that place was my favorite part. Um, which one? Which one? The bamboo, right? No, the Anka pile. I love I love Anka. Anka is life. Okay. I can’t. Anka is the heart of Japan. Uh, like the That’s what she said. Yeah. The now son now was saying that when she was explaining what is Anka. Got my sign CD. So, yeah, it was great. It was great being able to sing Anka in front of everyone and hearing her sing. Yeah, it was amazing. God, do you remember that Matu Moto son explained the about the Hannabi festival? Yeah. Yeah. Like I would love to see that. I love fireworks festival and then a high tier festival in Japan that has everyone come would be like out of this world. So and he told us that it’s like the biggest hannabi festival in Kyushu, but also like the top three in Japan, right? Yeah. But we’re talking about what Matsumoto was talking about. Uh-huh. Let’s talk about Masmotosan himself. He was a great super knowledgeable, knows everyone. Yes. Like everywhere he goes, it was like, “Oh, Matsumotoan. Oh, Matsimoto.” He’s like, “Yeah, he’s a superstar in this city.” The coffee store. Yeah. So, usually the coffee store we went, it’s closed at 5:00 p.m. Oh, so you if you guys want to go to the coffee store, just be careful of that time. But when we went there, it’s like after 5:00 p.m. But the reason why we were able to go there was like because of Matsumoto. Like he was like, “Oh, there’s some kind of YouTube and I want I really like your coffee store. Is it available to just like plans there?” And like she actually served us the coffee. It’s like she extended the hours just for like what Mats was an ass on our behalf to keep it open. I know. It was amazing. Everyone’s very nice. Yeah. Yeah. But not only that, I feel like everyone was so nice here. Yeah. Like even the chicken store like they was like, “Do you want to try this? Oh, this is so so nice.” And even the Inca store, they were like, “Yeah, everyone was so nice. I need to shoot you.” Everything was so nice. The people here are super warm and kind. Okay. Okay. Sorry, our time was exceeding. All right. So maybe we can like finish up everything and enjoy our food. Like we’re supposed to eat and talk, but like we just end up talking. Yeah, it happens. So wait, we don’t know what the next destination would be, but wait up for the next video and enjoy Japan. Barioa. Barioa.
