A Lucknow school has taken its students to Japan to give them real-world exposure, something beyond textbooks. A video of a couple of students from the City Montessori School (CMS) interacting with another Indian in Japan has gone viral on social media.

“Is there now a school in Lucknow that is taking kids to Japan?” he asked the kids. The children replied that they were from Class 5, leaving the man even more surprised.

He then says, “Come closer to the camera and say that again. The school is actually bringing kids to Japan!”

One of the students casually added, “They’re also planning a trip to Germany and Vietnam.” This leaves the man stunned.

“In our time, the school would only take us to the India Gate. That’s it,” he says.

When he asks how much the trip costs, the kids said, “Rs 3.5 lakh.” He confirms again, “For one child? And how many days is this trip?”

“10 days,” they reply.

When asked how many students were part of the trip, they said, “64 students.”

Another older student, Johnson from Class 11, joins the conversation. The man asks, “So it is not just Class 5, anyone who could afford it could come?”

Johnson replies, “Yes.”

At the end of the video, the man shares his thoughts with the viewers. “It is nice to see children coming from India and exploring a new country. It gives them a lot of exposure. I understand education is expensive, but those who can afford it, it is great that they are sending their children. These travel experiences help them grow and become more mature and responsible,” the man said in the video.

The video was posted on July 15 and already has over 2.7 million views. The caption reads: “Lucknow ka school tour per Japan le gaya tha students ko 3.5 lakh me.”

Social media users have flooded the comments with mixed reactions.

A user said, “Humko to India Gate bhi leke nahi gaya.”

Another wrote, “Itne me mera LKG se 12th tak ho gaya.”

“Bhai, CMS hai, duniya ka sabse bada school hai Lucknow mein,” an individual said.

“Moral of the story – agar paisa ho to sab kuch tumhara,” another remarked.
