これ持ってないと地獄!? 夏の大阪万博 持ち物リスト22選【快適&熱中症対策】それは気づかなかった!というものまで紹介します!
Hello! I’m Maru from the Maru Travel Channel. This time, I’ll introduce you to the things you absolutely need to bring when you go to the Expo in the hot summer. The rainy season is over, and summer is in full swing, so the heat is really intense! This is a must-see for anyone who wants to enjoy a day at the Expo ! Let’s go! Here we go! Well, we went to the Expo in July after the rainy season was over ! Wow, it was really hot! In fact, I’ll introduce all the items you need to enjoy the summer Expo, including the things we prepared to protect ourselves from the heat ! First of all, my own bottle. It ‘s not just my own bottle. First, fill it with ice at home! It’s important to leave as much ice as possible! Oh, and of the several water bottles we brought, our THERMOS water bottle had ice left until the end! But what if you run out of drinks? At times like that, a water server is a useful item. There seem to be 32 water servers in the venue, and you can refill your water for free. However, there are often quite a lot of lines under the large roof ring! The water servers outside the main roof ring are relatively rare. Use this map as a reference to stay hydrated and avoid heat stroke. The second thing is a frozen plastic bottle! I recommend filling it with a sports drink. If you freeze it well, you can use it as a tool to cool your body instead of an ice pack . After drinking, you can refill it with water at the water server and have a cold drink. If you combine it with your own bottle, it will last longer! If you put a cover on it, the ice will not melt easily . If you don’t have one, wrap a towel around it and secure it with a rubber band to keep it warm! The third thing is a handy fan. It’s really hot while you’re waiting in line at the pavilion ! There are a lot of people around, so it’s even hotter , and the place you’re waiting in line isn’t always in the shade . At times like that, a handy fan is really useful! Also, did you know that handy fans with something called a cooling plate are now mainstream? These are great! It can be used as an ice pack, and the breeze that comes out is cool, which is great! The fourth item is a cooling ring . It makes a huge difference whether you have it or not. The neck has many large blood vessels, so cooling this area is an effective way to beat the heat! What’s more, it’s become quite affordable now, so it’s a great deal! The fifth item is a cooling towel . You’ll sweat, so you’ll need a towel! But I recommend a cooling towel, not just a regular towel . You’ll feel cool every time you wipe away your sweat. The sixth item is a sweat wipe . When you sweat, it gets a little sticky, doesn’t it? Having a sweat wipe will really make you feel refreshed! It cools your neck, arms, etc., and feels great! This is an essential item! The seventh item is a parasol. You might think that a parasol is a nuisance, right ? But you’ll understand if you go! Most people are using parasols! When you’re waiting in line at the pavilion, staff and people will lend you one, but you’ll still need one while you’re moving around, so take one with you! ! We recommend a parasol that completely blocks out light!! We use a Sun Barrier 100 parasol, and it makes a huge difference in the heat~~ The eighth thing is sunscreen . You may think, “I put it on in the morning so I’m fine!” but by midday it will start to thin, so make sure to bring it with you so you can reapply! Especially when you’re waiting in line at a pavilion, there’s no shade and the sun is strong, so you can get quite sunburned. Don’t think, “I’m young so I’m fine!” It’s definitely easier on your body if men use it too~~ The ninth thing is a folding chair. This was a rare sight when I went to the Expo in April and May, and there were a lot of people who had these folding chairs! It certainly seems like it would be very useful at pavilions where you have to wait a long time. There are benches, but to be honest, it’s too hot to use unless you’re in the shade!! In that case, it’s safer to make your own bench in the shade. The tenth thing is a hat. It’s definitely better to have a hat during the day!! An essential item, especially for children. Parasols are also available, but they are a burden to carry and are honestly dangerous because there are so many people. There were some kind pavilions that lent out parasols while you were waiting in line, but you should bring a hat to prevent heatstroke! The 11th item is sunglasses. Your eyes can actually get sunburned, too. If you stay at the venue all day, your level of fatigue will change considerably. If you visit on a nice day, it’s a good idea to bring one. The 12th item is a mobile battery . This is an absolute necessity! Especially for those who plan to take photos and videos with their smartphones, there is a high possibility that the battery will run out halfway through. The problem is that you need the QR code on your admission ticket to enter the pavilion you have reserved. This means that if you can’t display it on your smartphone, you can’t enter the pavilion? Be prepared so that you don’t end up in a situation like that! It’s a good idea to print out the QR code on your admission ticket and take it with you, but you can’t use cash to buy things at the shops, so it would be a problem if you couldn’t use smartphone payment. It would be scary to think that your smartphone would run out of charge when you were taking the train or bus home. The 13th item is snacks . Even if you’re not with children, you should bring snacks with you! When you get tired, there are times when you want to eat something sweet, right? It’s nice to have some when you’re waiting in line to eat a little, or when you’re taking a short break on a bench . Oh, chocolate is dangerous at this time of year. The 14th item is a bag for garbage bags. It’s convenient to have a small bag to put your garbage in. It’s useful when there’s no garbage can nearby , such as garbage after eating snacks or food you bought at a store. They’re not heavy, so keep 2 or 3 in your bag. The 15th item is eye drops. It may seem surprising, but it’s reassuring to have eye drops on hand! When the wind is strong or the sun is strong, your eyes will dry out, so it’s comfortable to have eye drops! Especially when the wind is strong and dust gets in, it can help restore your eyes. Keep one in your bag. The 16th item is cashless payment. Cash is basically not accepted at the Expo, so you will need a cashless payment method . The other day, when we were waiting in line to buy Italian gelato, the high school student in front of us paid with an Icoca card. I usually rely on cash and don’t use cashless payment! If you’re one of those people, be careful! 17th Stamp Passport or Diary There are over 200 stamps at the pavilions and event venues in the Osaka Expo. Just collecting them is a lot of fun! Not only children, but adults can enjoy it too. The quality of the stamps is very high, so it will be a great memory. It’s a good idea to bring your own diary or stamp notebook, or you can buy the official stamp passport and stamp it. If you want to use the official stamp passport, you can buy it in advance from the online shop and use it from the morning of the day, and you can make good use of the time you spend going to the shop in the morning. There are pavilions that you can line up at without a reservation first thing in the morning, so please use this golden time to visit the pavilions. The 18th item is rain gear (for rainy days). I would like to go to the Expo on a sunny day, but I have decided on the date of my visit and booked the pavilion in advance, so I can’t easily change the date just because it’s raining! I recommend a raincoat when it might rain. An umbrella is convenient, but as I said earlier, there are many windy days at the Expo site! In that case, umbrellas are not very useful and it’s a lot of work! The opening day, April 13th, was a rainy and windy day inside the venue, so I highly recommend bringing a raincoat! The 19th item is a screenshot of the admission ticket. The QR code on the admission ticket must be presented when entering the reserved pavilion. So, it’s quite a hassle to log in to the app every time, open the ticket page, and display the tickets for the number of people, so if you take a screenshot in advance and save it to your favorites , you can present it smoothly and it’s easy. If you are worried about running out of battery, it’s even safer to print it and take it with you. The 20th item is an alcohol sheet . When you buy delicious food at the Expo and eat it, or when you want to eat a snack, there is often no hand-washing station nearby! So it’s convenient to bring an alcohol sheet with you. The 21st item is an eco bag . The shops inside the Expo also do not distribute plastic bags. If you are not planning to buy an eco bag at the Expo, bring one from home. The 22nd item is that although the paper map app also has a map function, I would recommend a single sheet of paper map. The reason is that, first of all, you can make a map with the information you need. For example, it is useful to write down the opening times of pavilions that have reservations, and it is easy to understand if you write down what you want to eat on the map. Actually, if you search for “Expo map” on X, you will find it, but there is someone who has published a map that is extremely easy to read! ! Of course, the names of each pavilion are written, as well as information such as reservation only, free entry, first come first served, etc. When is this useful ? If it is reservation only, you will most likely not be able to enter even if you line up, but conversely , if it is first come first served, you can enter if you line up! In other words, it is easy to find out where you can enter near where you are! It is easy to see what you want to eat and where is close to where you are , so please make your own original map and take it with you. Also, the first time we went without a map, we felt that the official app requires you to log in every time, which is surprisingly troublesome. It also saves battery life. The above is a list of things to bring for the summer, based on our actual experience at the Expo in July ! If you prepare this, the Expo should be more comfortable and fun. Please check it again the day before so you don’t forget anything ! Thank you for watching until the end. There is still a lot of information that has not been revealed, so please subscribe to our channel and check out our future videos.
