What is Taho?

[Music] We had no idea what Tahoe was, but it turned out to be one of the best desserts we tried in Okinawa. At Sunsan Okinawa Cafe Bar in Naha, we spotted this Filipino treat on the menu and had to give it a try. It’s like silky soft tofu served cold with Okinawan brown sugar syrup, ground soybeans, and tapioca pearls. It’s sweet, refreshing, and packed with flavor. The tapioca give it that extra fun, chewy texture, too. Plus, the people here are so friendly. Make sure to stop by and say hello if you’re ever in Naha.

We didn’t know what Taho was… now we’re obsessed. 🍮
Tried this traditional Filipino dessert at Sun Sun Okinawa Cafebar in Naha and wow — it might be one of the best sweets we’ve had on this trip.

Taho is silky tofu served cold with:
🍯 Okinawan brown sugar syrup
🥜 Ground soybeans
🧋 Tapioca pearls

So soft, slightly sweet, and super refreshing — especially if you love Okinawan brown sugar like we do.
Everyone here is super welcoming too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
