The House has always been looking forward when it comes to design and innovation. With Visionary Journeys, visitors are shown how brand staples like the Steamer bags and lock system came to be permanent fixtures in the brand’s story. Curated by fashion historian Florence Müller and designed by Shohei Shigematsu-OMA, no detail is left untouched. Every step of the way, from the craftsman to courtiers, is highlighted through one of the exhibition’s twelve bespoke rooms. Through bags, sketches, prints, artworks and objects, the story of Louis Vuitton is brought to life, and modern Japanese collaborators such as Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, Rei Kawakubo, and NIGO, are celebrated for their contributions to the House’s DNA.
