I Took My Nepali Family Overseas to Japan (First Impressions) šÆšµ
Namaste or kichiwa YouTube. Today I amĀ
taking my Nepali family to Japan. It will be their first time in Japan. Are youĀ
excited? We are super excited. All right, let’s get on the plane and let’sĀ
go to Japan. Let’s go. Woohoo. Heat. Heat. Okay, good morning guys. Welcome to ourĀ
beautiful house in Japan. We arrived last night, so we couldn’t show you the fullĀ
tour cuz it was late and we were tired. But this is so beautiful. It’s like massiveĀ
living room. And here is our kitchen. I love its color combination. It’s just so nice. AndĀ
this is my favorite little spot. Look at this guys. Little bonsai garden. Yeah. So pretty. So,Ā
how many people again does this house hold? 19. 19 people. It’s so pretty. Like look at this massiveĀ
dining table. Wow. Amazing. And our brother is going to show us his favorite spot. Yeah. Can youĀ
show us our f the favorite spot? Yes. Okay. So, big bathroom in here. Big big bathtub. Shower.Ā
Shower. Wow. Sauna. Sauna. Is this your favorite? Yeah. Yeah. And this is my favorite hotĀ
tub. Hot tub. So massive hot tub out here, guys. Lovely little bamboo garden. And as YzenĀ
was saying, a uh a sauna in here, which is so cool. Where can you get a sauna in Japan? UhĀ
so if you guys want to check out this Airbnb, we’ll leave a link in the description. Uh we justĀ
thought it was a great spot for our family here. Um Sophia’s dad’s currently on some businessĀ
phone calls, but then after that, we’re going to go out today. We’re going to explore. We’reĀ
going to use the Have Fun Pass here in Japan, but we’ll tell you guys more about that later. AndĀ
I love the weather. And the weather’s great today. It’s nice and hot. Last time we were in Japan,Ā
it was very cold. I was freezing. I was Yeah. So, uh, let’s go out. Let’s start by havingĀ
some Japanese barbecue here in Japan. After we touched down and got settled into ourĀ
Airbnb, we jumped straight into exploring. And our first activity was actually found on ourĀ
Japan have fun pass, which we got from Cluke, who’s actually sponsoring today’s video. On ourĀ
last trip to Japan, we booked down N and Kyoto day trips, plus a night river cruise all throughĀ
Cluke. It made everything super easy to plan in advance, and it took the stress out of figuringĀ
how to do things on the spot. If you haven’t heard of them, Cluke is a one-stop travel platformĀ
where you can book everything from trains, hotels to tours, attractions, and more. It’s availableĀ
in thousands of destinations and the prices are honestly great. Right now, they’re runningĀ
a special campaign called Beyond Japan 101, which includes things like Have Fun Japan Pass,Ā
giving you a flexible 14 days across 11 regions. There’s also the JR West Hiroshima Area PassĀ
with unlimited rides on Express and Rapid Trains. and even a Universal Studios Japan passĀ
with access to over 60 attractions. So, if you’re heading to Japan and wantĀ
to save money and time while getting the best out of your trip, thenĀ
click the link in our description, download the Cluke app, and use our codeĀ
Jack Sophia for 10% off your first booking. So, as you can see, this is ourĀ
beautiful house for the next 5 days. So, now we’ll just walk to the metro and thenĀ
we’ll go to Japanese barbecue. But first, we’re actually going to go to a littleĀ
surprise. So, uh let’s go there now. Yosen. Yosen, this is your first timeĀ
seeing the ocean, right? How is it? Good. Good. Yeah. You like it? Yeah. Wow. We’reĀ
going to go to the top. Matioom. All the way up there. We’re going to the top of thatĀ
building. Oh wow. Huh. M. So I tell you what, guys. Even though it’s a beautiful blue sky dayĀ
today, it is hot and so many Japanese people, they have the umbrella to to protect them from theĀ
sun. And I was thinking and Sophia was thinking, “Oh, we don’t need that. We’re strong. We’reĀ
fine.” But I wish we brought that because the sun is a killer today. No, I’m going to getĀ
so tan. I’m already like getting tan. Yeah, it’s hot. But uh there’s a little bit ofĀ
shade, so we’ll try and stay there when we can. Okay, no worries. Um guys, so this is a littleĀ
bit annoying. Unfortunately, online there was no information about this, but the observatoryĀ
is closed. It’s closed on Mondays. No problem. I think we’ll go somewhere nearby and uh checkĀ
that out. Yeah, I didn’t know it’d be closed on Mondays. Okay, no worries. So, uh I think we’llĀ
go get Korean barbecue now and then do some more cool activities here in Osaka, but that’s reallyĀ
annoying. Even on Google Maps, uh it says that it was opened. And you know, in Japan, most thingsĀ
on Google Maps when it says something, you believe it. But yeah, looks like someone forgot to updateĀ
Google Maps. So, what I’ll do, guys, is I’ll find some stock footage online and show you the viewĀ
from up there, cuz the view looks really amazing on the photos. But unfortunately, not today.Ā
Maybe we’ll all come back uh maybe tomorrow or something, but that won’t be in this video. ButĀ
yeah, I’ll show you guys some footage of that. Can you Thank you. Welcome. Wow. Oh, wow. Hey. I have to say one thing I find really strangeĀ
about Japan is the cars drive on the left side of the road, but everything in the train is on theĀ
right side. So you walk on the right side and you give way on the right side, but the cars drive onĀ
the left side, which I’ve never experienced in any country. Normally the way you drive the car is theĀ
way that you walk. I don’t know. Is anyone else confused? So what happened? So this one’s closed,Ā
too. Yeah, guys, we’re not we’re not very good at this so far. Yeah, the two things we’ve tried toĀ
go to, it’s closed, but on Google Maps, it doesn’t say that it’s closed. Yeah, I’m so confused. Um,Ā
no worries. We’ll find another restaurant. Okay, so now we’ve came to this restaurant, guys, calledĀ
Sukia. And they actually have iPads where you can order everything yourself, and it’s in English,Ā
too, right? So, it’s actually Last time we came here, it was really good. It was really, reallyĀ
nice. So, if you’re can’t speak any Japanese, these restaurant chains, they’re all around Japan.Ā
Really good. So, uh, one of the lady was like extremely rude last time, right? Last time. Yeah.Ā
But hopefully there’s no rude people today. Uh, let’s see. So, it’s a little bit busy, guys. So,Ā
Sophia and dad will sit there and me and Yen are going to sit here. So, as you can see, uh, we canĀ
choose English and then, uh, we can order on our tablet, which is super super easy. Um, so I thinkĀ
I might get one of their curry bowls. Let’s see. So, you don’t have to pay. you actually payĀ
up there at the end. Uh, and just like that, you don’t even have to talk any talk to anyone.Ā
So, it’s super convenient for introverted people, too, who don’t really want to talk to anyoneĀ
because when you pay, you can actually pay by yourself as well. So, super cool. Okay, guys.Ā
So, mine just came out here and look at that. So, we’ve got rice, we’ve meat, we’ve got moreĀ
meat, some vegetables, and some miso soup. Okay, first we’ll give the miso soup a try.Ā
Oh yeah, I’ve been missing Japan, guys. So, here is Yin’s food. Do you like it? It’sĀ
a kids meal set. I thought it would be like much more than this, but yeah. And we areĀ
waiting for hours. Here’s that yummy food. Are you excited? Delicious. Yeah, delicious.Ā
And this is mine. I missed Japanese food. Okay. So, you two are going to go to Legoland.Ā
Yes, that’s right. Dad and myself are going to go on the boat next door. Um, so yeah, justĀ
use your Have fun pass, scan the QR code, and then you’ll be able to go in. Okay,Ā
sounds good. See you. See you. Now, we have to wait for around uh half an hourĀ
cuz it’s after 2. Okay, let’s go to the shop. Don’t you want to have fun? Don’t you want to have some fun? Yeah, his baby said that they don’tĀ
got a future future like that. It burns. So give him something worse toĀ
kill his head with. Make him forget somehow. Might be another day.Ā
She would have wished he stay. Everything is expensive. Yeah. Are you having funĀ
though? Yes. Yes. Okay. Now just 10 more minutes. Wow. Look at that. Every corner had a story. Wow. Are you ready to go? So, we have a longĀ
queue behind us. We might have to wait for around like 15 minutes. Yeah. So, ifĀ
you guys were wondering how we got in at this have fun Japan pass. So, what youĀ
do is it just takes 5 seconds. You just um scan your QR code and you get to go in. YouĀ
know who the princess is? I don’t know either. Princess where? Okay, we completed our ride. It was just for like 5 minutes.Ā
Did you enjoy it yourself? Yeah, it was fun. What was your favorite part to suitĀ
the spiders? Is it skeleton? Ah, that’s cool. Okay, guys. So, we just arrived at the boat uhĀ
cruise and we’re going to be using our Have fun in Japan uh pass, the Japan have fun pass justĀ
here. And uh because we uh because we have this, we actually get to ride for free today. AndĀ
we can do up to 21 different attractions just with this pass. So, super handy. So, let’sĀ
go in and let’s get our tickets. Here’s your ticket. Go downstairs 15 minutes before.Ā
Okay. Thank you. Okay. So, here we go. Here’s the boat. Looks exactly like a pirate ship, soĀ
it should be good. Dad, are you excited? Yeah. Yeah. Excited. Okay, let’s go. Looks prettyĀ
good. Let’s get a seat. Okay, there. Dad. Wow, guys. Good view, right? Wow. Okay. So, yeah,Ā
we’ll sit here, cool down, and explore the boat. Look ahead. The sea is calm. And I knowĀ
we’ve been through a lot. Just wait. Wait for better days to come andĀ
carry us like wind in our sails. Hold on tight. I can smell the shĀ
right in front of us. If we just hold this vision that is getting closer every time you are dreams of the you guys are probably wondering by Jack,Ā
didn’t we see you on this boat last time? Well, the answer is yes. Uh, last time Sophia and I wentĀ
on this boat and it was extremely cold because we’re here in winter. But this time, I thought IĀ
would take Sophia’s dad with me as this would only be his second time on the boat on a boat. TheĀ
first time was when we went to the North Korean border in China, and that was really fun. UhĀ
but uh yeah, this is his first time on a private uh sorry, a pirate ship I should say, notĀ
a private ship, a pirate ship. Um so yeah, so in case you’re wondering, we used the uhĀ
Japan Have Fun Pass to get on this boat and it was completely free. And Sophia and Yozen areĀ
in that building just there going to the Legoland. So, you guys also might be wondering, Jack,Ā
why is the water so brown? I thought you were in Japan. I thought it was a clean country. Well,Ā
uh, just because of the current rainy season. Uh, there’s so much rain happening atĀ
the moment and all of the sediment, all of the dirt and everything gets washedĀ
into the waterways. So it sort of turns the water brown during the rainy season. Last timeĀ
when Sophia and I were here was winter and there was no rain. The water was crystal clear blue.Ā
So the water is clean. It’s just because of the uh just because of the rain recently.Ā
And now we’re just stopping the boat. Okay. So now we met up again with Sophia andĀ
Yen. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. Uh, how how was how was Legoland? So much fun. ItĀ
was good. Yeah. You enjoyed it? Yeah. Okay, cool. So, now we’re going to get on theĀ
train and go to a big tower where we can hopefully go down a slide on the tower.Ā
Uh, Dad and Yosen are going to do that cuz uh Sophia and I have done it before.Ā
So, yeah, should be good. Let’s go. Okay, so here we are. We made it to the HiĀ
Tachi Tower. Um, so there’s a few things you can do here. You can go all the way up to theĀ
viewing car, which is what we’re going to do, and you can also go down the slide. So, DadĀ
and Yosen will be going down the slide. Uh, so yeah, should be good. Uh, let’s see how weĀ
go. But, uh, yeah, it doesn’t look too busy, so it’ll be cool to see the viewĀ
from up top here. I’m pretty excited. So, if you guys can see this pipeĀ
just here from all the way up there, that is going to be the slideĀ
that they’re going down on. So, from all the way up there down to here, they’llĀ
be sliding down the tower. So, pretty cool. Okay. Okay. So, we just got our ticket andĀ
uh yeah, pretty easy with the Have fun pass. Just takes 5 seconds. Yeah,Ā
just takes 5 seconds. So, now we’ll go to the observation deck and let’sĀ
see this amazing view up in the lift. Excited. Excited to see the view. We’ll see allĀ
over um Japan. I mean, all over Osaka. How is it? So good. Little bit scared.Ā
Little bit scared. It’s quite high, right? Very. Very beautiful. Huh?Ā
Amazing. Yeah. Look at that. Oh, nice. Okay, so we’re now at the very top. Uh, yeah,Ā
this is super cool, guys. So, they’ve even got a map here to show all of the different buildings.Ā
And, uh, yeah, you can truly see the entire city. definitely recommend this. Um especially if youĀ
have that pass. Super easy and free to come into. Um so yeah, definitely recommend getting thatĀ
when you’re in Osaka. Um but gosh, the view here is just so beautiful. And all the people downĀ
there just look like ants cuz we’re so high up. Okay. So, what happened? We had to wait forĀ
1 hour 80 minutes, so we decided not to do it. Yeah. Yeah. But like before, they didn’tĀ
let us buy the tickets. Yeah. Right. And now, like Yeah. 1 hour and 80 minutes, guys. It’sĀ
crazy. Just to go on the slide. But don’t worry, next time we’ll go on the slide. Okay.Ā
We’re going to Universal Studios. Yeah, we’re going to Universal Studios.Ā
We’ll do every ride there. Osaka. Okay, so we just came down to the riverside.Ā
We got given some towels cuz it’s so hot. We’re sweating. Um, so this restaurant hasĀ
a mix of like Japanese and Western food. Uh, so yeah, we’ll show you what we get, butĀ
beautiful vibes right here by the river. Okay, so we just left that restaurant. Uh the menuĀ
didn’t really have much uh much food. Wow. Okay. Okay, so we’re now in the sushi restaurant.Ā
The people here are very friendly. Hello. Uh, okay. So, this is the menuĀ
here. So, we can choose tuna roll, grilled wagyu beef. Oh, that looks good. Wow. All different types of sushi here, guys.Ā
Daddy’s trying was for the first time. Oh my gosh, that’s a big one. Ah, thank you. So delicious. Okay, this one’s yours. Oh, you can feel it. It’s good. So, so fresh. So, just finished upĀ
there in the sushi restaurant. We used our pass as well to pay. So, we ended up only paying 300Ā
after our discount, which is so good for all of that food. Uh, so yeah, that ends today’s video.Ā
It was an amazing day. Amazing day, right? It was looking forward for tomorrow. It was really good.Ā
Yosen, did you have a good time today? Yeah. Dad, did you have a good time? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well,Ā
as always, guys, keep it real. Cheers. Bye bye.

My Nepali family had never been overseas together until now. We took them to Japan for the very first time šÆšµ From boarding a plane for the first time to getting lost in Tokyoās neon streets, this was one of the most special trips of our lives. Everything was new: sushi, Disneyland, vending machines, high-speed trains, and those famous Japanese toilets. This video captures their raw, funny, emotional first impressions of Japan, and what itās like seeing the world with fresh untraveled eyes. Hope this one makes you smile. See you next week!
