We Drove Go-Karts Through the Streets of Tokyo! π―π΅ποΈ | Akihabara, Shibuya & More with Street Kart
Tonight we are in Tokyo, Japan, and we are going to be taking a two-hour tour across the city in go-karts. We’re using a company called Street Cart. We are the only ones on this tour by happen stance. So, and this was recommended by Lonely Planet, and it has Trip Advisor recommendations. There’s been a lot of famous people that have done this tour, including us now. So, we’re all dressed up. We’re ready for the occasion. Brian brought his BIES onesie all the way from the US. Not affiliated. Bucky could see Tokyo. So, come on. Let’s go. Let’s go drive around. [Music] starting to spring cold. And look at all the lights. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Aubrey, what do you think of the ride? I think I got stuff in my eye. [Music] So, while I’m driving, I have to I I got the caboose, so I have to keep up with everybody. And I’m flooring it through the streets of Tokyo right now. It’s like I’m being in a video game. Got [Music] to keep up with everyone. There goes my hood. no more. [Music] There’s no suspension on this car. [Music] Tokyo drips right there. [Music] So, if you didn’t know, Tokyo, people in Japan drive on the left side, and a lot of people in the US are afraid to drive on the opposite side. But I have found that in a lot of foreign countries that drive on the left side, it’s a bunch of oneways. So, you really don’t can’t tell that it is different. Pulling up on the Imperial Palace. It’ll be the first time seeing this palace. Woohoo! Only somewhat terrifying to have all these big cars driving past us. No cart. No shells, though. There’s no shells being thrown. [Applause] Somebody threw a shell. [Music] Bye, Aubrey. Um, so I guess this area is like the ritzy luxury brand stuff. They have like Louis Vuitton and Rolex and my personal favorite which is lint chocolate. I didn’t know that was luxury, but I guess since we’re so far away from Switzerland, that’s luxury. My my hood keeps blowing off cuz we’re going so fast. I wonder if I’m the first to bring up By’s outfits for one of these go-kart to sponsor us. Bucky. [Music] Hey girl. Hey. What you doing there? I just drive around Tokyo in a go-kart. In a go-kart. Yeah. You know what I’m not doing is throwing banana peels and shells on the street. There’s another go-kart group over there going the other way. I think they approved of Bucky. [Music] There’s a Unilo over here and an IKEA. What? Unilo and IKEA. I’m excited because we’re going to drive through Oakley Shabuya Crossing, the busiest intersection in the world. [Music] This is the crossing, Aubrey. I think so. This is the crossing. Unfortunately, this taxi decided to pull out right through where we were going to go. Bucky crossing. Shabooya crossing. Look at that. I mean, there are a lot of people over here. Don’t get me wrong. But not It’s like Time Square. It looks like Time Square. [Music] You having fun? Yeah. Breathing in a lot of gas. Gas. yeah. Yeah. That was going to be a sickle. It’s my ride. Going to do Tokyo Drift. In the rules that we read, we aren’t allowed to. And I [Music] I think doing this at night is the way to go. Yeah. With all the lights and everything. [Music] Got a little bit of the Imperial Palace over here. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] We just finished our 2-hour tour on go-karts across Tokyo. Aubrey, what was your thoughts on that adventure across the city? I think it was really fun. I liked doing it at night, seeing all the lights. That was pretty odd. I think that 2 hours was slightly too long, but 1 hour is slightly too short. So, like an hour, 15, hour and a half might be ideal. I thought it was really cool that we got to cross through Shabuya Crossing. We got to drive through Shabuya. Everyone else just walks through Shabuyo and it was smaller than I expected. Our host Adam did a phenomenal job and we were the only two on the tour. So, it was basically a private tour across Tokyo, which like when will that ever happen? So, that was really cool. I highly recommend this tour group. They were extremely accommodating and nice, especially as a non-Japanese speaker. It was really easy to follow along. And if you like what you saw and you enjoyed our tour, click that subscribe button, that bell notification, and we hope to see you in the next one. Bye. [Music] [Music]
