Yamadera (Tohoku’s Mountain Temple)⛰️ Just 1 Hour from Sendai 🇯🇵 | Japan Winter Vlog

Hello, hello. Welcome back to my channel. This is Curtis at Abald in Japan and today we are in Yamadira. Now take a look at this behind me. Now, isn’t this just a sign of beauty and the station as well? So, today we’re going to go up to the temple which is called which is Yamada Juna which is basically translates to mountain temple. Now, we’re going to walk there. Hopefully, I don’t fall over. It’s a little bit wet today. Little bit rainy, but let’s go. Icky Masho. This town is beautiful. This is what I love about Japan. This is exactly why I wanted to come here. And look how thick the snow is. Like, look at that. Off the ground. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love it. Like just a little town hidden away in the mountains, snow covered. Granted, today it’s raining. Of course, I come here. Look at it. So amazing. [Music] I absolutely love it. Like hold on. I wish it wasn’t raining. Look at that off the ground. Amazing. I will put the camera away for a moment until I get to the bottom of the mountain and we walk up it just to keep it out of the rain. Now, I said that I’d join back in when we’re at the bottom of the mountain, but I just couldn’t not get this on camera. Like magical. So magical. [Applause] And here we are at the bottom of the mountain, ready to hike up. Apologies for the noise in the background, but it looks like they’re clearing the road. Take a look at this. behind me. The snow on the roof, the town. Let’s go up the mountain. Let’s go. Look at it. Just look at it. It’s amazing. Absolutely amazing, man. We’re lucky enough to go up it. But honestly, like I don’t care that it’s raining and I don’t just have snow here. like being able to like come to a place like this, see it in the snow, in its element, in the beauty it is. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. I’m so happy to be able to like share it with you. Look at it. It’s amazing. Now, don’t get me wrong, the steps might kill me off. Right. I believe it’s like about a 20 minute hike to the top. So that is not too bad, but still enough probably to get out of breath. Oh, look at that. Look at that. Honestly, so beautiful, man. So beautiful. Look at this, man. Just watch that. I don’t fall on the ice. Snow days away. Snow days away. [Applause] I do need to find the actual ups the mountain. Look at absolutely amazing. That’s a the crunch under my feet. It’s crazy the amount of snow that people got to shuffle. I head back a little bit. We need to figure out where the up is to the summit. We might have gone through the little wrong part to go up. Oh, it’s blocked off. Maybe. Maybe it’s too dangerous. I mean, honestly, look at this place. Is this just not the most beautiful place you’ve seen with your eyes? Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful snow, beautiful temples, scenery, stuff falling on me from the tree. Absolutely amazing. Look at it. I can’t man here. Looks like the start of the summit. Look at that. [Music] Let’s go up the mountain. So looks like the papers. [Music] Let’s get a ticket. Let’s walk up a mountain trail of snow. See any snow monkeys? I got an umbrella. Let me do my best not to fall over. Look at it. Look at it. It’s amazing. But we’re going to take it slow cuz these steps are quite slippy. [Applause] I don’t that I love. Honestly, I love my life being able to like explore Japan without a care in the world for now. Once I get to Nco start to work a bit. Still plan to do YouTube videos. document places even kuchan otaru the boy betu I’d like to get to there’s quite a lot in Hkaido while I’m in this direction that I’d like to um document make YouTube videos on show people what it’s like in Japan to some places off the beaten track perhaps Try and let this guy get ahead of me a bit. [Applause] [Applause] So, what I’ll do, I’ll hike up a bit from the next point. I can show you the view from the top. Otherwise, you’re just going to have me walking up here. Probably huffing and puffing a bit. So, I’ll see you towards the top. Just a little viewing part. [Applause] I mean, look at it. It’s beautiful. We’re coming towards part of the entrance now I believe without dying. Without dying. Without falling. Look at that. Yep. Up we go. Look at that. We now got the snow. Beautiful. I know. Look at that. Look at it. Look at it. I don’t linger this too much. Amazing. Snow beneath my feet hiking up. Oh my god. Oh, so beautiful. Everything is so beautiful. We’ll hike up there. [Applause] will have to forgive my umbrella popping in for the shot occasionally. Like look at it. How can you not fall in love with a place like this? Wow. Like like honestly this like my favorite place. Let’s stand another way for this lady. Just take it all in. taking in all the view. All I have to do though, not fall on my ass, not fall off the mountain. That is our plan. It’s a It’s a good plan. It’s one I really want to uh execute. Let’s see if we can help if I pay attention to what I’m doing. How can you not fall in love with Japan when they have things like this, the scenery? Now, there’s probably places in the rest of the world that have like these kind of views, but imagine living up here like that. That is your view. Although stairs stairs get you every time. Look at it. Look at this place. Wow. Honestly guys, have a look man. Have a look. This is why you should visit here. This is why you should come Japan. You should go to places off the beaten track that not many people go to cuz you get you get views like this virtually by yourself. You got to walk around a temple in the snow in a mountain. I mean, look at it, man. You tell me this isn’t worth coming here. Like, it’s absolutely amazing. Hey, you tell me that this isn’t one of the best views you’ve seen. Honestly, you tell me and I’ll call you a liar. Look at it. Amazing. Let’s have a little walk to this way. Look at it. I know I say I keep saying it, but like look look at it, but honestly, I just so happy I can share this with people. Like, even if it’s like one, two, three subscribers that watch, I’m happy that I can uh share this amazing view with you. Right. It’s amazing. I nearly died. It nearly happened. The plan nearly failed from earlier. Look at it, man. That view behind me. Like honestly, it’s amazing and I just can’t get enough. Take a look at that view. Beautiful. Now we’re heading up here again. So guys, this is Yamadada. I’m going to head down the mountain now, back into the town. See what I can find there. Probably stop for some something hot, some tea, maybe. have a relax maybe in one of the cafes. But yeah, 100% recommend coming here. Come at the mountain. Takes 20 minutes, 30 minutes if you got bad knees. Like it’s it’s easy. You get beautiful views. It’s a beautiful site. A great day trip. It’s around just over a little bit over an hour from Sai. So your base can be in Sai and then jump on the train, direct train all the way here. The bottom of the mountains, not even like 5 minutes away from the station. Super accessible, super amazing. Highly recommend to come here. So thank you guys for watching. Please like, subscribe, and leave a comment of anywhere in Japan you’d like me to go and if you’d like to visit Yamadiraa or if you have been here. Thanks for watching. Bye, J.
