My first trip to Japan! What foods for day one!?

We just spent two incredible weeks in Japan. But this wasn’t your typical tourist trip. We skipped the crowds. We ditched the popular spots and dove straight into the heart of what Japan is really about. Its people, its hidden gems, and of course, the food. In this video series, we’ll take you off the beaten path from eating a black egg on a volcanic mountain to discovering Japan’s favorite drink and settling the ultimate battle. 7-Eleven versus Lawson. Who really wins the convenience store crown? Plus, we’ll show you what it’s like to walk through some of Japan’s most peaceful and spiritual shrines. So, buckle up because this is the side of Japan you haven’t seen. Let’s go. 14-hour plane ride. That’s a long flight. But sit bear, I have to admit, uh they did a great job. I mean, it’s a very budget airlines. All right, we got here. Got the fire on board was super nice, and I’m tired. Our daughter lives with her husband in Yakoska on the US Naval Base, and after that 14-hour flight, we were running on fumes. So, our first mission in Japan was food. We hit up a local mall on the bay, and we dove into our first meal. And wow, what a way to kick things off. This wasn’t just any food court. This was a flavorpacked jet lag crushing welcome to Japan moment. Welcome to Maragan Ramen, a beloved ramen restaurant all throughout Japan. And this this was just the beginning of our food journey across Japan. Trust me, it only gets better from here. 14-hour plane ride from Houston to Japan. And my daughter, first thing she does takes me to get some ramen. I got to try a bunch of these plates for our first meal here in Japan. And let me tell you, food in Japan just hits different. It’s fresher, more natural. You can actually taste the difference in every bite. Nothing like getting the original Goa here in Japan. Yeah, the green onion, the pork, the garlic. That’s the perfect bite. First up, matured soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg and soba. It’s simply amazing. Then came the fried rice and dumplings topped with the semi raw egg that was so creamy. I thought it was dessert. But the real winner, the dipping noodles with spicy ramen broth. That combo of beautiful noodles and flavor. I mean, honestly, keeping the noodles out of the broth until you dip them. Total game changer. I love the butter in there. This smells so good. So, it was a long day today. As you can see, I’m dead tired. My hair, all this fun stuff. It’s just been a long day. But, we are heading to bed now. We’re super tired. Uh, I got to showcase some of the restaurants and some of the sites of my first day here in Japan, but we got a lot more coming up. We’re going to be showcasing 7-Eleven versus Lawson’s. They’re both convenient stores here in Japan. Some say one’s better than the other. I’m going to sample some of the foods to find out which one I like the best. But we’ll be showcasing these and videos coming up here in the future. So, please like and subscribe to the channel if you wish to see more content like this. We’ll see you guys soon. Seriously, I’m going to bed. I’m tired. Good night.
