Octopath Traveler Maker to Reveal Trio of New Titles at Tokyo Game Show 1

Octopath Traveler maker, the Tokyo-based Acquire, will reveal a trio of new titles at Tokyo Game Show in September – in collaboration with Abu Dhabi dev Red Dunes Games.

The partnership, announced as part of a Forbes article earlier today, will result in three new titles:

Project TremorCity-shaking kaiju battlesProject UmbraDark fantasy huntsProject ShadowcarA shadowy espionage thriller

Acquire obviously needs no introduction, having working on classic franchises like Tenchu, Akiba’s Trip, and most recently Mario & Luigi: Brothership for the Nintendo Switch.

Red Dunes Games, meanwhile, was only established in 2022 and has mostly focused on indie games thus far.

CEO Sultan Darmaki said:

“Acquire is a legendary studio with a deep creative legacy, and we are honored to work with them to build the next wave of original games. This partnership is a reflection of our belief that the future of gaming lies in global collaboration, where stories cross borders, and innovation knows no region.”

All three of the aforementioned projects will launch on “major consoles”, including PS5. As we mentioned previously, you can expect to see these titles revealed at Tokyo Game Show in September.
