Vikas Saravakota, Director of NATURE, an NGO promoting social justice and youth empowerment in tribal Andhra Pradesh, will represent India at the Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of the Youth Democracy Network (YDN) in Tokyo from July 30 to August 1.
Hailing from Visakhapatnam, Mr. Vikas will join young leaders from across the region to advance youth-led efforts for democratic values and civic participation. YDN, convened by the Partnership for Strengthening Civic Democracies, empowers youth to promote transparency, counter disinformation, and protect civic spaces.
With a background in rural community service, Mr. Vikas has led initiatives on PESA governance, legal awareness, and youth capacity-building in tribal areas. His selection to YDN highlights his dedication to amplifying grassroots voices on global platforms.
