Each summer from mid-July to early August, Senshu Park in Akita City transforms into a quiet dreamscape — where lotus flowers bloom softly in the castle moats, mirroring the blue sky and the timeless ruins of Kubota Castle. 🌸💧🌿
Pink, white, and pale green lotuses rise from the still waters, their petals unfurling like whispers from the past. It’s a scene that blends natural elegance with historical depth, offering a kind of beauty that feels both sacred and fleeting. 🪷🏯
Originally the grounds of Akita’s Kubota Castle, the park today is a peaceful green space filled with ponds, trees, and the delicate hush of history. And in lotus season — it becomes something truly magical. ✨
