JAPAN πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ the OKINAWA you’ve never seen 🌊 beaches, caves & supermarket food haul | MIYAKOJIMA vlog

very good. I know. Maybe this isn’t a good idea, but We are on our way to try to see some sea turtles. Cuho really really wants to see turtles. Me too. That’s my goal. Yeah, I know. Like it’s possible we won’t see them, but I at least want to say that we tried. Is this the free one? Yes. Yes. This is one of the last spots, I think. So, I think so. I don’t know if we paid this one or not. This one is not. Yes, it’s free. Okay. Awesome. Yeah, this is the free place. And over there, this is the parking lot where you’d have to pay. That sign always gets me, though. Beware of dangerous marine organisms. A Oh, they’re the clear ones where you can look down and see. Will we find some turtles today? Hopefully. It’s Yeah, let’s see. Yeah, let’s do this. Oh, the sun is already hot. So shallow. I know. I like it. Look, people even studying up over there. Heat. Hey, Heat. So far, no turtles, but lots of beautiful marine life. Ko’s way over there turtle hunting, but I don’t think he’s seen anything yet either. Guys, I know I look crazy, but there’s this fish and I don’t know what it is, but he’s really brightly colored and beautiful. This guy is bold. He keeps like swimming right up to my face. I’m not like too close to the coral or anything, but I think he has like babies somewhere. He’s trying to protect him. He’s trying to help me get the out of here. See if I can find him. Hold on. Heat. Heat. Back we go. Said that we couldn’t see turtles. I know. We tried, but the coral reefs were amazing. And each little coral reef chunk had like a totally different ecosystem. It was incredible. And I got bullied by a fish. It was quite an adventure. So, after spending an incredible afternoon snorkeling at that beach, we headed back to our hotel, showered, rinsed out, and hung up all of our swimwear to dry out in the sun on this little veranda that our hotel has. Now, the whole purpose of this trip was to be swimming and snorkeling. So, we specifically wanted to choose a hotel that had an outdoor little veranda space, not only that we could sit at, but where we could hang our swimmer out to dry, ensuring that it dries fast without any gross musty smell. And aside from its fairly central location, this is another reason why we chose Hotel Locus. And we found Hotel Locust on Cluke, who was actually sponsoring today’s video. Cluke has become such an essential travel resource for us specifically when we travel to Japan. For this trip, we found and booked our hotel through them. And for our previous two Japan trips when we were in Tokyo, we used Cluke to book our tickets for Tokyo Skytree and to purchase our KSA Skylliner train tickets. Thank you so much Clue for sponsoring this video. We are going to the local supermarket because they have in Japan the supermarkets have a lot of delicious looking pre-made meals and bento boxes and stuff like that and sushi sets. Restaurants are as we said it’s quite pricey and plus like if we go to sushi restaurant then Sarah can’t eat anything. Yeah. Right. So we decided just to grab simple lunchbox kind of thing and just come back to the hotel and eat it here. It looks like they had pretty good stuff. So, yeah, I am excited. Place is close. Good. Looks delicious. This is still warm, huh? Well, are you going to have that? Maybe I will. It’s good price. So many. These are only like six bucks. I know. I want to try everything. Oh, we can come back tomorrow for lunch, though. Yeah, but I had chicken just yesterday, so I need a little break. Oh, it looks good. Yeah, that does look good. They have great stuff in there. God, it’s hot. I know. I like that mart. Okay, hold on a second. I cannot believe how cheap these are. Like, it’s absolutely crazy. Six bucks for like this kind of meal is insane. Do you want to try my Did you get tarter sauce? It’s good. Very good. I know. I hope the view is going to be nice today. It should be. Thank God for the shade. Can you imagine? I don’t want to get burnt again. I want to see from the observatory if we can see like some of the little coral reef spots from, you know, above. Oh my god, look at that. Water is so shallow, so we could easily see the pretty much everything. Even just going across the bridge, you can see like splotches of like all the different coral reefs cuz it’s so like clean and clear and shallow. Maybe we can spot turtles. Oh my god, we can dive right in from here. Sorry. At night, I don’t want to think about it. Whoa, it smells like vegetation. M smells good. again. Yeah, you can see like all the coral formations there and the bridge back there. This view is phenomenal. Like this place is obviously like pretty old. that’s been here for a long time. But the view from up here on like a sunny clear day, you can see like the beautiful colors of the water. It just looks like a watercolor painting in like the coral and there’s like this gorgeous like jungle off at the side. I don’t know. It’s It’s amazing. It definitely exceeded my expectations. We were just doing this to kind of kill time before ice cream to be honest and like burn off some calories. Yeah, exactly. We literally went just in time. Like a busload of people just arrived. Yeah. Highly recommend this place. It’s so beautiful and it’s free. Off we go. Another bus. Oh, shoot. Another bus. Good timing for us. Ship is good. My goodness. All right, we just tried to check out that location and it was just way too busy. It was just this like, no, I need a relaxing ice cream experience. So, we’re going to go to the previous one actually that we went to, which was like, you know, small but like fairly quiet. What kind are you going to get? This time I want three scoops. Three. Kho, that’s obscene. Jeez. This is the only time we can try. And true. So happy. Oh, teriyaki marks box. This is exactly what I wanted. Perfect. Oh, hey. Wow. Yeah, mine’s really good, too. This is really good. Good morning, guys. It’s 9:40 a.m. after 5 days straight of swimming in the ocean. It’s like an overcast day, and we’re going to mix up the day by just kind of making it up as we go along. It’s still kind of early for anything to be open right now, but there’s these caves. So, we’re currently on our way there. It’s going to take about 28 minutes from our hotel. I think this is Ryan. That’s what the GPS telling me. Really? Such a friendly dog. I’ll sleep you. A what a gentle dog. Okay, we’ll be back. We’ll be back. So, we are walking to this cave along this extremely remote countryside road and I’m getting like Spirited Away vibes like you know when Chihito and her parents are on their way driving to their new house and they take a wrong turn and like go on like this narrow road. That’s exactly what it feels like. I never watched that movie so I don’t know. Yeah, you fell asleep. Yeah, I’ll watch it again. Watch. Yeah, you should because then you’ll appreciate this more. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Oh, it’s kind of scary. Actually, a little scary, boo. Look at this. Oh. Whoa. Look, you can do it. You’re a big girl. But there’s a big spiderweb right here. We can’t pass it. Okay, we’re going back. Cuz I’m usually not that scared of spiders, but they have like poisonous spiders here, so I don’t know how to recognize them. Woo! Slippery. Hey, be careful. See, maybe this isn’t a good idea, but see anything. I mean, look at this. It’s really cool, guys. I don’t know how uh where this leads into, but I can’t really see anything down here. And I don’t know what kind of creature. I mean, even so, like I don’t think we can see much. By the way, Sarah, I just figured out there’s no cell service here. What did you say? There’s no cell service. So, if anything happens, all right, let’s get the out of here. Time to go. This is enough for me. Wow. It leads into it. Really? I ain’t going there. The the fact that it makes it scarier is because we the only one we’re here. Careful. Do you see it? Yeah. I can’t see it. It’s here. Wait. Like this? Yeah. Yep. Down. Okay. All right. For those of you who like to explore places and like dark and cool and don’t know what kind of creatures live down there. Yeah. Then I recommend this place. But not beautiful then. Yeah. It’s beautiful. But I wouldn’t want to go past this point. That’s my comfort level. But it is like phenomenal. It’s just like a circular. Yeah. It’s a very mysterious place. Yeah. This is uh um natural cave spring. This provided the villagers with a vital source of water before modern waterworks were invented. They wrote about this place in a manuscript in 1727. Wow. Oh, they took the dog in. Oh well, maybe this is meal time. All right, that was absolutely beautiful and a little terrifying at the same time. Uh we’re driving to Yoshinoya right now for like a little cheap easy lunch meal and then I’m not really sure because it looks like it’s clearing up a bit. It was supposed to rain, but I guess we’ll see what we’re feeling like after eating lunch. And it’s either maybe we’ll hit a beach for a bit or maybe we’ll just keep driving around. We don’t know. Yeah, this place is famous for gelato and for its private beach view. I hear something. Oh god, some weird stuff flying. Something is buzzing. There’s butterflies everywhere. Let’s hope it’s just butterflies. It attacked me. It attacked me. Damn. It’s embarrassing. that little beach is so beautiful. Oh my god, a heart rock. Oh yeah. right there. It’s our 10th anniversary at Silver Mansion. This is the cutest little part of the beach. Lots of treasures. being extra careful of those hornets. That gelato was delicious. The hornets were not delicious, but the staff were really nice. They were kind of reassuring everybody like, you know, they don’t really bother people. They just kind of uh swoop around and go back to their trees. But they’re like those huge Japanese killer hornets type of hornets. So, I was still very nervous. Not going to risk. Yeah. But the beach, oh my god, so beautiful. Heart rock. We went to that cave. We grabbed some lunch and we couldn’t really film lunch much because this huge like group of 18 kids from like a volleyball team was in there. So, it was like kind of chaos. And then I came here and it is only 1:54 p.m. Yeah, it’s a small island, so there’s not much to do. Well, how about we go back to our hotel? Okay. Then what? The roads are not wet. No, it didn’t rain here in a while. We had a little bit of like chill downtime, eating snacks and having a nap. Oh my god, there’s two cats on the road over there and I got distracted. Oh, look. Oh, guys scared of me. I have one churu. Here, I’ll put it in your bowl. Here everybody get Oh, is that the good kind that you brought? All right. So, we went to that place and apparently they’re all reserved. And then we checked at another place, but they’re not open today. And they’re supposed to be, but they’re not. And it’s like kind of dead. So, we’re going to go to to that same place where we get that really good ramen and like the rice that time cuz we’re starving and I’m getting hungry. And, you know, at least this is guaranteed. We know. Very good. Yeah. Very true. The food is good. So, and Kho wants hang. Yeah. Draft beer, man. Yeah. That’s what we walked. Yeah. It’s Saturday and nobody’s out. No. Nice. I love that one. First, I thought it was tied to that rope there, but he’s No, he’s just sitting his bum on it. Hello. It’s like, why are you looking at me? Hello. I like your little mustache. Aren’t you a handsome little gentleman? There’s so many cats here. Yeah. Oh my. Yeah. Swimsuit and yours. Two of mine are mine. Chocolate. All right, I think that’s pretty much it now. I’m going to miss this little like Miranda view here. Well, we’ve been here for like a week exactly. Had an amazing time, but I am ready to go back. I miss Seoul. I miss our kiddies. I miss my routine. But we got to swim/n snorkel five days in a row with awesome weather. So, yeah, I’m thrilled about that. But anyway, I’m pretty sure our big luggage is overweight, so we’ll have to probably pay a little bit for the snackies. But, uh, let’s go back to Korea. We have a little bit of time to kill before we can drop this car off. So, you know, we were driving and I saw a sea turtle over the side like of the bridge come up for air and go back down. I would have thought it. Yeah. on the way to airport. I know he was really big. All right, shall we? Uh, yeah. I was like, what is that dark ohole blob? And then I saw his little head poke up for air and he went back down. Sea turtle, show me your face. Even the gas station doesn’t open till 8:30. Doesn’t even sound like proper actually. No, it doesn’t. Just a sign. I think we’re returning our little car. Now I have to get used to the opposite side. Heading to the airport. We’re going to be early. Yeah, I think so. This is the airport, guys. That’s so cute. Looks like a resort. Yeah, this is where you line up. There’s no one lining up. Just jin air. Yeah. Like a lot of the airports actually outside like this. Here’s the flights. Beware of bird droppings. Guess I can poop on you here. Yeah, that was the easiest uh customs I’ve ever gone through in my life. There was like no one in line. This is this famous seaweed. Huh. Interesting Okinawa like pork bowl. Very good. Hat. Heat. I need to international. We had a wonderful time in Japan, but we’re really missing Korean food. So,
