Hello YouTube. Summer is in full swing here in Tokyo. Today we are walking around Kudanshita, a place we visited before during the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Walking Tour. Do you remember it? It’s also where we came in the spring to see the cherry blossoms at Chidorigafuchi. From today July 13 to July 16, the Mitama Festival is being held at Yasukuni Shrine in Kudanshita. It’s one of Tokyo’s traditional summer festivals. Today I’d like to focus on this festival as we walk through the area. Alright, Let’s get going.

In this video, I take you on a walk through the streets surrounding Yasukuni Shrine, where the traditional Mitama Festival is being held from July 13 to 16. You may recognize this area from a previous walk during the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Tour, and it’s also home to the beautiful cherry blossoms of Chidorigafuchi in spring.
