Tokyo Disneyland Vlog: Rides, Food and Goth Style

It’s early, but we have a full day planned today. We are at Tokyo Disneyland, including the scariest ride we’ve ever done at Disney anywhere. Interesting, cuz Bippity Boxy Boutique is actually in the Disneyland Hotel. And there is the train with the super cute Mickey windows. We’ve been in Japan for about a week and now we are going to tackle Tokyo Disneyland. We’ve been to both Disney resorts in the US and Disneyland Paris. So, how is this park going to compare? Come along on this adventure and we’ll find out. Hey, here. So, because this is Donald Duck’s takeover, the park is now decorated how Donald would decorate it. So yes, so Porsche is all about himself because we all know Donald is an egoomaniac. So like little gold statue to Donald saying how great he is. [Music] Donald’s even taken over the umbrellas. What? [Music] Do I need these? Yeah, but it’s Easter. [Music] So, we just got these drinks. These are specialty beverages. Um, and with our vacation package, this is actually included. Uh, because it’s not alcoholic. That’s not blue carousel. Oh, these are these are like marshmallows, are they? Yeah. God, look at how cute this is, dude. I can’t even. Okay. Oh my god, look at that. It’s little Chip and Dale butts. Buns. Oh my gosh. Buns. Okay, so Tokyo Disney, so far you are totally winning on the food front. Like everything is so cute. I’m just going to eat. Maybe I’m not even going to ride rides. I’m just going to eat all through the park cuz this is amazing. Oh my god. I can’t I can’t get I don’t want to eat this. It’s so cute. So, this is like a Was it like a ground pork? Maybe. It’s got a good sauce on it. And then the other one is sweet potato. It’s really good. Oh, I love some good buns, though. I mean, who doesn’t? Okay, sorry, Donald, but [Music] Oh no, don’t eat me. [Music] Oh, it doesn’t taste very good. Super cute. Our Donald’s takeover continues. He’s taking over my wife. He took over my head. Oh no. Oh no. Donald. These boats on the jungle cruise, they’re real junk. [Music] Dad jokes. Can’t take him anywhere. [Music] I need [Music] a horror. Wow. Oh, monkey. [Music] [Music] Stitch. [Music] Okay. Already a big improvement. There are places to sit. [Music] Yeah. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] You know, we’re not going to be able to understand any of this. on girls. [Music] Okay, so I just stopped by the by a popcorn stand and they had curry popcorn. So, with our vacation package, we were able to get a little popcorn bucket and [Music] it came with popcorn. Um, the curry popcorn is really, really good, actually. And then you can store all your stuff in there. And then, yeah, now I have a place to put my stuff that doesn’t quite fit in my fanny pack. So, and wait. This is the best part. Put your wet wipes there. Yeah. It’s got a little pocket on the inside. You can unzip it and you put wet wip wet wipes in there. Japanese man, they think of everything. So cool. So, I’m very happy with our free well included popcorn bucket. There you go. Yeah. Not free, but just hanging out doing some work on his laptop like you do. Yeah. There’s two things over there. Okay. So, another weird thing. There’s Dumbo right there and then we turn and there’s mansion. It’s very weird. So, one thing that is nice is so far we haven’t had a huge wait time. So, People really like theirs. [Music] [Music] So, what did you think of Haunted Mansion Tokyo? Um, again, as my memory had it, um, it’s very clean. Like, there’s some cobwebs on the lights, but that’s I felt like about it. You pointed that out. That was like the only place that there were cobwebs were like on the fixtures, but nothing like getting to the fixtures or in the corners or bookcases or anything like that. It’s like, oh, there’s supposed to be cobwebs here. Like they were following a manual. Yeah. Yeah. It’s very, very strange. Um, let’s see. There are no hatbox. There’s no hatbox ghost. Uh, there were a lot more like poppy up things. Poppy up things. Spiders, which I don’t remember there being spiders at the other ones. Oh, yeah. No. And what else? Um, the attic. The attic was really small with a lot of poppy up things. So, obviously the story is very different. I think they I wish they had used more cultural uh ghosts like have like samurai ghosts or samurai ghosts, you know, something that’s more more to the culture as opposed to just like some of the same old ghosts that we’ve seen in all the other iterations. I think I feel like that’s what they did in Paris. I mean, yeah, I loved Paris. I loved the um just the different spin on it. And I’m kind of bummed that they, you’re right, that they didn’t do something a little more authentic um here, especially cuz Japan has such good ghost stories and horror stories, right? I think that’s a missed opportunity. But, you know, uh otherwise it’s kind of like same old same old. Uh probably the my least favorite of the four I’ve been on. I think I agree with that. Yeah. [Music] Oh, one thing I also forgot to mention about the Haunted Mansion is that they have the old style ghost where they’re sitting in the car with you. We had the we had the skinny skinny guy in between us as opposed to them like being funny and sitting on top and Yeah. or like And I don’t like that. I like this version. Their heads explode and stuff like that. Yeah. This is a little bit more traditional. I agree. I like that. Yeah. All [Music] right. So, that big thunder um a little a little lame, I thought. I think part of the reason is because we were in the very first car. So, we would get up to a hill and we get halfway over the hill before it started picking up speed. I don’t know. I’d like to try it again, but maybe I mean I guess we can’t really pitch where we sit and especially with the language barrier, but right I would be curious. I bet obviously the best back car on Big Thunder is always the best, but this did seem really slow. It seemed Yeah. Yeah. It seemed slow and there weren’t that many um times when you would feel it in your stomach and where it felt like. So that made sense, right? [Music] Okay. So, what are we on to next? On to Star Tours. Oh, wait. I feel like I need to change my ears back to my Star Wars ones. We finally after how many hours? Got some iced coffee. And I’m excited about this. It’s a creme brulee churro. Oh. [Music] Oh my gosh, [Music] I’m a fan. [Music] It’s so funny that it’s everywhere. Like Donald has literally taken over the park. [Music] Honey. [Music] Ha. Look. So, we’re here for celebration. And of course, it’s not a trip to Disney without hitting Star Tours. And you’re not going to be able to use any of this cuz the music is blaring. [Music] [Music] Pirates may be down, but the gift shop’s still open. They’re no dummies. Doesn’t work with my [Music] And this is where Noel goes crazy. [Music] If you want to spend some big bucks, you can get the crystal skull for 800,000 yen. [Music] These guys are cute. I like the sound they make. Oh, pull the string. Okay, in case you love the dead, meaning the grateful. Is that Oh, look at that’s cool. Definitely not what I need right now. Or wouldn’t flip-flops. Want to see what drink they have at Caffeine Orleans. [Music] Um, the rum was that sounds really good. I know. I’m like, and macadamia nut syrup. Yeah, [Music] I don’t know how I always convince you to go on this ride, but here we are again. Splash Mountain. Okay. But the big difference is that this is still old school Splash Mountain. It’s like there aren’t many Splash Mountains left. This is literally the only one left cuz everything else is Tiana’s now. So, I’m excited. Let’s get our rabbit on. [Music] Yeah. [Music] [Music] Uh-huh. [Music] I thought you weren’t supposed to get wet in the front. It’s all in the face. It’s all in the face. [Music] [Music] [Music] Okay, so Splash Mountain less racist than Japanese. I’m just saying. So, we should go check out another nonPC ride, which is what? You’ll see. Okay. Young travelers and there’s to be no flash photography. Thank you and voyage. [Music] This might be the prettiest inside a small world. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. [Music] over rocket [Music] black. [Music] You like that? [Music] [Music] Wow. [Music] Well, baby. [Music] Hey, we are at the Hungry Bear restaurant grabbing some food. What did you get, my love? We got the pork katsu. M. That looks good. And I shockingly got the exact same thing. And we got uh sodas to drink. And I probably paid for the sodas cuz we didn’t show the coupon thing. But um anyway, yeah. and a petite. [Music] All right, our room is ready at the Disneyland Hotel, which is literally right outside the park. So, we’re going to take a little break, get our bags, and get settled in. Just wait until you see the room that Noel booked. It’s perfect. There’s a mix of colors right there. So, of course, I had to get the room that looks like Oh my goodness. Alice and Wonderland threw up all over our room. Uh yeah, it’s got a little love nook. A love nook. Wow. Comes with luggage. Nice. Look at Look at this. Look at this hat lamp. Ah, so cute. Why? Like a little balcony. And here’s And here’s a pillowcase so that you won’t stand our pillows. You’re probably right. Very cool. Oh, the cheshire cats in the window to the bathroom. Oh, nice. and the rabbit and his clock above the dresser, which comes with jammies. Going to be using those. Here’s a little uh Oh, that’s an adorable tea set. Um yeah, guess who doesn’t need the dang tote bag? Because now we have Disneyland hotel bag. Oh, look at that. It’s like one of those fold up. That’s really nice. Yeah. Little present. And the awesome thing is we’ll probably get one for our next hotel, too. Oh, these slippers with Mickey’s. What? I guess we should have taken our shoes off. You get to take those home, too. We have a nice tea set. That’s what I said. Oh. Uh, what’s underneath in that big compartment? Glasses and teas and coffees. Matcha if you want your fill of a whisk and a fridge. And a fridge stocked with air. No. A water. Two. Three. Four waters. Four waters. And then in here. Uhhuh. Here is the sink area. Look at these cute little cups. Oh, wow. Look at the amenity kits. Toothbrush kit. What’s in the kit? Oh, we have two toothbrush kits and four amenity kits. Hair tie, Q-tips, Kleenex or something. Okay. Oh, there’s more more toothbrushes. face cream. You trying to tell me something? I love I think find it interesting that in Japan all the hotels have the washcloths wrapped like that. Interesting. And then a haird dryer in here. And this Oh, and a hairbrush. The toilet. Fancy Japanese style. Fancy Japanese. Fant uh fancy Japanese style. And then in here is the shower room with the step down with the cheshire cat. So that there we go. And the super crazy deep crazy tub. Yeah. Oh, look. Rainfall shower head. And you got a Tweedle DM. And then Tweedled Dome. Tweedled Dome. Why is the camera on me when you click say Tweedle Dome? That’s not nice. But he But yours is over there. It’s great having the hotel so close to the park. Very different than Disney World in Florida. We still have one of our most anticipated rides to tackle and the electrical light parade and the scariest Disney ride ever. [Music] So, this big ride for the park. I’m super excited. I’ve heard Yeah. Is it fairly new? It is, I think. And I don’t think it’s in any other park. So, it’s like Tokyo Disney exclusive. That’s cool. That was an exclusive. [Music] What [Music] are you going to do? [Applause] [Music] It was no [Music] Oh my god. [Music] [Music] Oh, [Music] heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] I know. [Music] Okay. I said it. [Music] A I know. I know. Electric light parade. We’ve got these cool seats where we’re sitting down. Well, they’re not seats, but yeah, they’re spots. They are spots. It’s cool cuz um there are numbers on the ground that have what sections were section B and then basically like aisle two and then it was 14. So, Let me [Music] know. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Yeah. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So cool. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] Hello everyone. Oh my, what a magical. This is such a wonderful place. Don’t you agree? [Music] Smile, [Music] Elliot. Say hello to our friends. A Come on, Elliot. Don’t be shy. Elliot, you’re silly. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. Oh, [Music] heat, heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] I’m kind of surprised, but this is it. The scariest ride at Disney we’ve ever been on anywhere. [Music] [Applause] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat up [Music] here. [Music] That’s it. Yeah, it’s pretty frightening. Like the Tomorrowland Terrace and a cheeseburger. [Music] You know it’s a good burger when you have to like wiggle it to get in your mouth. Just a little bit. Wiggle it just a little. Yeah, it’s good burger. Good fries. Good soda. I’m starving though, so it could be that. But it [Music] Kamichi, you know, it at the end of the day at Tokyo Disneyland, it actually felt like a Disney day. as in my feet are immensely sore and I’m tired of crowds and I couldn’t wait just to get back to the hotel room and just chill for a bit. Yeah, just like that. Yeah, we had a really good time. We rode all the rides we wanted to ride. The teacups, by the way, are no joke. There’s like no limiter or the limiter is way set way uh lower than in the US. and we were going to eat dinner. Thank god we waited. Um because I probably would have vomited all over the ride. I I like to spin. That was insane. It was like, “All right, enough. Enough.” Can I tell you how much I am obsessed with like the pajamas that hotels provide you in your hotel room. I love them. Yellow, not my color. Don’t care. Wearing it anyway. We’re going to get some sleep, refresh. We’ll finish this video. But first, after a sip of Kieran beer, Kieran, come by. Wait, we have to do it all over again. Look, I found better matching ears. What? Look. Come on. Perfect. No. Okay, fine. Good night. [Music]

  1. 🦇✨ Thanks for watching our Tokyo Disneyland adventure! Have you ever been to a Disney park — or would you love to go? Tell us your favorite ride or snack in the comments! 💜

  2. I’m so jealous of your life 😊. Other than YouTube videos what do you guys do for a living?

  3. Oh my god I love this so much. My wife is a total Disney Adult, and we hit Tokyo Disney for the first few days of our Japanese honeymoon. I am a goth, she loves country music, Bruce Springsteen, etc, but we have other crossover bands. Tokyo Disney was a trip.

  4. I’ve lived five mins from Disneyland my whole life but haven’t experienced the other parks. They look so cool! Glad you had a good time, the merch looked sick
